  1. One German journalist spoke a very controversial truth, and was excoriated for it by the UN's resident mouthpiece. Tobias Hutch noted that more than 40% of marriages in Palestinian areas are between close relatives- cousins to be precise. This leads to increases in birth defects that easily show up as looking like malnutrition to untrained and uncurious eyes. Now consider that this has been happening for generations and it is no wonder that the situation seems so grim.
  2. Yes, eliminate the only functioning democracy in the area. The only country that protects womens' rights. The only country where LGBT people are safe. Yeah, who needs a country like that, when you can have yet another misogynistic, bigoted kleptocracy?
  3. For a famine, I see a lot of suspiciously healthy looking young men chasing after food trucks. And healthy people clutching their supposedly starving children. What mother or parent would let their child starve, while continuing to feed themselves? The photos are Hamas propaganda, that is clear.
  4. Go try that in Free Palestine, see how you get on.
  5. The Mega Powers can reunite in Heaven! Do a segment on Piper's Pit and an interview with Bobby the Brain.
  6. IF UNESCO just stuck to their mandate and didn't get mired in politics, I could see being against thsi decision. But like much of the UN, it is becoming yet another venue to bash free countries at the expense of the sh!tholes of the world.
  7. I think I am the only AN poster who lives in Japan. And the deal is seen very positively here. The Tokyo Nikkei Market is at record levels, up 5% in 2 days. It just might save the PM's job.
  8. A little bit. All the way up to middle school humour from elementary. Good work!
  9. They just need a brilliant real estate developer to open up a casino and hotel there, and it will thrive. I wonder who they could get.... Cue "The Donald Signal" flashing in the night sky!
  10. Stunning and brave. Can we start a GoFundMe for this unique and courageous artist can take his show directly to the source-Gaza? I am sure he will be given the welcome he deserves.
  11. I have been struggling not to laugh out loud at the "humour" on display here. Proof as to why Colbert was cancelled. Good Lord, people. At least TRY to be original.
  12. They are also rather better off than the Jewish citizens in Arab/Muslim countries in the region.
  13. But again, you are missing the point. Jews were ALSO barred from returning to their homes in Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, etc. Same as the Palestinians. Why weren't the Palestinians absorbed into the 22 surrounding Arab nations, the same way the Jews (who were also "nakba'd") were absorbed into Israel? Israel did not put the Palestinians into camps. Their "brother" Arabs did. They refused to allow them any civil rights whatsoever. Instead, they fed them this myth about one day returning to their old homes in Israel. This is where the roots of the conflict lie. The Israelis took in Jews from other countries who were expelled. The Arabs did NOT take in Muslims from other countries who were expelled. So now we have a region where Muslim/Arabs control 96% of the land, if not more. Also 96% of the population. Jews are only allowed in one country. Muslims/Arabs are allowed in all of them. Simple question: why can't the Arabs take care of their own people, the way the Israelis did? The historical circumstances are largely the same. Yet the outcome is so different.
  14. It was until the Arab League launched a war of extermination on Israel and caused the Nakba. After that. all bets were off.
  15. Your narrative is missing a few details. The day after Israel declared independence, and before any Arab residents were affected, armies from FIVE COUNTRIES invaded Israel, intent on finishing what Hitler had started. They did not negotiate, did not care about anything but death to the Jews. THAT was the event that set off the Nakba. And yes, many Palestinians were expelled by the Israelis. No question. Others left voluntarily because they didnt want to live in a Jewish state. Others left because they were told by the Arab League to basically get out of the way of the invading armies. And once the invasion was finished and all the Jews were dead, they could all share in the plunder. THAT is your Nakba. So now what. Jewish citizens of Arab countries were also robbed and expelled. Did they form terrorist groups for 3 generations? No, they were welcomed in Israel. Why were Arabs robbed and expelled from Israel not welcomed in any of the 22 surrounding Arab countries? It defies logic. Same as the so-called "right of return". If the Arabs kicked out of Israel have the right to return to their property, then logically the nearly one million Jews expelled from around Africa and the Middle East ALSO have the "right of return", and can go back to their homes in Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, etc. It's only fair.
  16. Actually、they DID have a state, called Jordan. And 22 other Arab states, but the Arabs refused to give refuge to their displaced brothers from the 1948 War of Independence. That's not Israels fault or responsibility.
  17. Agreed. So YOU agree that the blame lies on the countries that refused to resettle the Palestinians and give them citizenship, right? In other words, the Arab nations who instead chose to use the Palestinians as a weapon against Israel. The injustice does not persist because of Israel. It persists because of Arab/Muslim bigotry against the Palestinians. Jews could find refuge in Israel. Why could Palestinians not find refuge i nEgypt or Iraq or...
  18. You are correct that a refugee crisis was created when Israel declared independence, as sanctioned by the UN, and was then immediately attacked by 5 Arab countries. The crisis was partly Israel's fault, and partly the attackers. The problem came when the war ended. The refugees didn't have the opportunity to settle where they took refuge. Instead, they were kept in camps and fed a line of BS propaganda that they could soon return "home". Well, home was gone. The obvious answer would have been to settle the displaced Palestinians in the surrounding countries, where they shared language, culture, and religion. Starting the myth of a "right of return" did nobody any favours. It is a ridiculous concept, especially if you try to apply it to other refugee situations. Do the Jews expelled from north Africa and the Arab countries in the Middle East ALSO have the right to return to their homes? Do Hindus who were kicked out of Pakistan when India and Pakistan declared independence have a right to return? How about the Germans expelled from East Prussia when the borders of modern Poland were settled after WW2? Of course not. The situation has festered long enough.
  19. Sounds good to me. Israel is doing the same as the Nazis? Rounding up and gassing Palestinians by the trainload? Industrializing murder to speed up the process of eliminating every Palestinian? Come on. Terms like "concentration camp" get thrown around with little thought to actual historical accuracy, just to stir up emotions and stifle discussion. You can do better. It is a strange genocide when the "victim" sees their population grow every year. Ironically, grow faster than the country that is committing the "genocide". I guess the Jews are just poor at genocide, eh?
  20. Ah yes, the "concentration camp". That had hotels, cafes, restaurants, mosques, markets.... where the population grew every year. THAT "concentration camp". Grow up.
  21. Perhaps because there IS no list? Frankly I think the AG got caught a bit out over her skis on this one. She was BSing and got caught. Slap on the wrist for her and move on. I mean, everyone loves a juicy sex scandal, but this one is getting stale. Any dirt would have been revealed when Biden was president.
  22. I do? Certainlly I have my criticisms, but I dont just post gleefully about the purported failings of the leader. I didnt vote for him, but he is still my PM, and I wish him the best. Both for my country and my fellow citizens.
  23. Amazing to see people cheer for their country to fail, just because they dont like the guy in charge. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!
  24. Well, ICE just rounded up more than 1,300 convicted criminal illegal aliens in Houston alone. Including 9 murderers and more than 30 for child sex offences. I imagine Cali is the same. So ICE is doing God's work in protecting decent Americans and legal residents from predators and pedophiles.
