  1. Possibly, but that is a topic that has been done to death elsewhere, don't you think? So, back to THIS topic, why don't Democratic party leaders try a little honesty when discussing Trump? Their pearl clutching screeching is making things worse for everyone.
  2. Yes, he did. And he also took it back when he saw Trump's performance as president. Now, have the major players in the Democratic party "taken back" their overheated and dangerous rhetoric about Trump? Or do they still call him a threat to 'our democracy' and a dictator from day one? Because unless their actions and words align, they are just hypocrites.
  3. The obvious answer is that he is NOT a threat to democracy. IF Trump were the new Hitler, the fascist, the genuine threat....then Democrats would not be against his assassination. They would not send messages of support when he survived. I mean, who would cheer if Hitler survived an attempted bombing attack? It is obvious political hype. You can't simultaneously call a man an "existential threat" and out of the other side of your mouth be happy that he is still alive.
  4. So, Trump should stop calling himself a fascist and a wannabe dictator, perhaps lay off the "existential threat to our democracy" rhetoric? And yeah, that girl should stop wearing that above-the-knee skirt...
  5. Why? Because America under Trump was a better country than America under the Biden-Harris administration. That is why Kamala absolutely could NOT answer a question on that topic. Why? Because your exaggerations about Trump's behavior make people doubt your sincerity. Catastrophizing is not good if you are trying to win over people to your side. Calling them names and other various attacks will only make them more stubborn. But you are free to support the candidate of your choice, and best of luck to you. The problem is that you are not willing to extend the same courtesy to others.
  6. You sound rather paranoid. What freedom did the Supreme Court erode? As for gerrymandering, it is a plague at every level and done by both parties. To you, the path to dictatorship is happening even now, with Joe Biden in the White House? Interesting...
  7. So do you believe that he will be "a dictator on day one"? How does that happen exactly? Step One: Trump wins the election Step Two: Inauguration Step Three: Dictator? There has to be a little happening between steps 2 and 3. Surely you must have an idea of what would happen.
  8. Consequences? Sure. Tell everyone he is wrong and stupid and has bad breath, whatever. But the amplification in the media and among his political opponents is beyond the pale. When you label your political opponent an existential threat to democracy and the American way of life? Words have consequences. But you never answered my last question. Do you honestly think Trump will set himself up as dictator if he wins?
  9. Yeah. And the hell with that woman who was raped. What did she expect, wearing a skirt above the knees? She brought it on herself with her incendiary fashion choices. Most people can control themselves, but she will attract those nutters who just can't control themselves. Come on, man. The big difference between the Trump BS rhetoric and the BS rhetoric that is directed against him is this: the anti-Trump stuff is directed at him PERSONALLY. Trump is the focus, the bad guy, the Nazi, the direct threat to American democracy. A far easier target for any nutbag loser to hear a grudge against. I mean, really. How many people genuinely think that, if he is elected in November, he will rip up the Constitution and declare himself Emperor Donald the First? No more chance that Kamala would do the same thing if she were to win.
  10. What could possibly go wrong? Quite a lot. If you check the US Navy's fitness standards, you will see that there are great differences in the expectations for male and female sailors. Ex; an "outstanding" rating of 100 points would be 92 pushups for a male, but only 51 for a female. A male who does 51 pushups is a 60 point score. For a female, they need only do 24 pushups to get 60 points on the evaluation. And so on. https://www.mynavyhr.navy.mil/Portals/55/Support/Culture Resilience/Physical/Guide_5-Physical_Readiness_Test_PRT_JAN_2023.pdf?ver=OlmOLoZTfCA641JUkAnIaw%3D%3D
  11. In any case, why are you talking about Him in a discussion thread devoted to his opponent? Not enough other Trump based topics for you? You seem rather...desperate to get attention.
  12. Ah, deliberate misgendering as a form of attempted insult. Nice one. Must have been a clever lad when you were younger. As for The Donald and his business career, I would say that at least he had one. Kamala has had her lips firmly attached to the government teat for her entire life.
  13. Correct me if I am wrong, but VP Harris has also never lead a Dairy Queen. Or any other busines. Or in fact ever worked in the private secotor. The Donald for his faults has been CEO of a multi billion dollar company with thousands of employees.
  14. Actually, a lil mushroom would make it even more impressive- harder to reach!
  15. What is a driveling? A small person who operates a car? Your advanced vocabulary is confusing me.
  16. ...uh.... ok? Not sure where you are going with this...
  17. If you lived in the Bay area in the 90s and didn't know about Willie Brown's.... activities.... then you were hiding under a rock.
  18. Actually, no. If I could blow myself I would be famous.
  19. Hell yeah. Lined 'em up and knocked 'em down. Got me where I am today. How about you?
  20. "No, but he does like to say 'who's your daddy?' when we are bumping ugly."
  21. You are projecting. Please try to stop being a mind reader.
  22. Your comparisons are ludicrous. Please. I wouldnt have been pleased if Hillary had won in 2016, but also I could see her doing well on the international stage. Kamala can't even handle a ten minute interview with a friendly news anchor without making a hash of it.
  23. "Specifics"??? Come on, man. "Investing in areas that need a lot of work" is a rather non-specific answer, to be charitable. What areas? What kind of work? Who is this new generation of leadership- a pair of nearly 60 year old Washington insiders? I mean, everyone knows that Trump is a BSer, but at least he is entertaining about it. Kamala doesn't even look like she is trying. And she doesn't have to. She sat for a five question interview and this was the best she could come up with. God save America.
  24. Oh, no doubt he lost. He could have handled the situation much better, but he has a big ego and it cost him. But I am saying, that from the point of view of actually informing the public about the positions of both candidates, ABC did a crap job. We learned little about Trump that we didn't already know, and even less about Harris because she didn't actually answer any of the questions she was asked. I think a better approach is to have two moderators, but each questions just one of the candidates. And, that moderator gets picked by the opponent. So Trump picks the mod that questions Harris and vice versa. Far more entertaining and far more likely to tease some policy out of the candidates.
  25. So then, the MODS should use the little time available to do it? That makes no sense. A mentally agile candidate could point out their opponent's lies in seconds, then move on to rebut them.
