While Thailand is "amber" you just need to be tested and do home quarantine. No requirement to be vaccinated.

Thailand reports daily record of 235 new coronavirus deaths
brewsterbudgen replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Good question. I would think a severe depression, massive unemployment, businesses going bust with all the concomitant social and mental health issues. Maybe it would be survivable but a horrible cost. -

Thailand reports daily record of 235 new coronavirus deaths

Presumably the number of deaths will continue to rise over the next week or so as they reflect the high number of infections 2-3 weeks ago? At least the infection rate has stayed relatively stable following the weekend numbers. Some reason for hope. -

Does Hua Hin require visitors from Bangkok to quarantine on arrival? Or is no longer required as both provinces are now deep-red?

Come on you know very well, that children are very unlikely to be badly affected even if they get the virus. Schools in the UK have been open for months but the under 18s are entirely unvaccinated. There may be a remote risk of a child getting very sick or dying, like there is with regular flu, but in that case schools may as well be closed forever.

I guess some of us consider education, socialisation skills and child development to be vital. As you know, I think schools in Thailand were closed far too early, and I hope they are prioritised for re-opening when the wave is over. I'm no fan of the UK government, but I wish the Thai government placed a similar value on education. https://edition.cnn.com/2021/01/14/uk/england-schools-hit-by-coronavirus-pandemic/index.html
