  1. It's no worse in Bangkok than in most other areas of Thailand! Avoid November to March if you're sensitive to it. But wearing a good quality mask and using air purifiers at home makes it liveable.
  2. Loads of places - Royal Oak is the best IMO. Around 395 baht including a beer.
  3. It's their job! You seem a little confused about what bargirls are.
  4. Yes, I've been using it for nearly 5 years. Rarely has issues and good customer support when required, although no longer on Live chat (which is a shame).
  5. And he was wearing a baseball cap with the US flag on it!
  6. Thai mothers love their sons!
  7. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisa_(rapper) Hope this helps.
  8. Because it's a clever marketing slogan that stuck! "LOS"
  9. I meant the broker I use to arrange my insurance and assist with any issues. But you knew that. ????
  10. To be fair, he didn't say he was an English language teacher. Maybe he teaches gym!
  11. WRLIfe are certainly competitive and affordable, and for me anyway, their customer service had been great. Their claims procedure is possibly not so clear, although according to my broker, it is no worse than other companies he deals with.
  12. Very true! So far, I haven't seen any evidence that they don't, but I'm sure this thread will be updated if it happens.
  13. Some interesting feedback on Trustpilot, but typical of many complaints when people have misunderstood the terms & conditions of their policy or not read the small print. I think you'd find similar reviews for most health insurers! Plenty of positive feedback too, which is reassuring.
  14. Yes, WRLife are good value! They also 'guarantee' not to increase premiums with age.
  15. Yeah, the first time I did it, the OTP was very quick. But now, using the same email address, I get nothing!
  16. Has anyone successfully made an appointment using the new link? To get the available dates, you have to submit an email address and then verify it using the OTP code that's sent to you. I did this, a few days ago; but the dates I need were not available yet. I tried again today, but after entering the same email address (twice), I never got an new OTP code, so couldn't get into the system. Any suggestions?
  17. Yeah, I saw that. I assumed October was just fully booked, although it might depend on what category of visa/extension you need an appointment for.
  18. Thai Visa Advice Facebook group. Tod Daniels is the new Ubon Joe!
  19. Seems the link has changed. This one works: https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/
  20. My wife is Lao and lives here as my dependant. His Indonesian wife will need a non-O visa (as @DrJack54has explained) from a Thai Embassy. Another factor to consider when getting her added as his dependant, is he'll need a legalised/certified copy of the marriage certificate (unless they married in Thailand).
