Odd Habits of Bargirls
Remember the thread is about "bargirls" (prostitutes) and their clients, not all "Thai ladies".

Residency application / UK national / Legalising marriage certificate
Unfortunately nothing to do with the UK Embassy in Bangkok. As @Mutt Daengsays, it has to be legalised by the UK Legalisation Office in Milton Keynes (at a fee) and then certified/attested by the Thai Embassy in London (also at a fee). When I did this for my UK marriage certificate, it took about 14 days. The MK office will forward the legalised document to the Thai Embassy for you, if you provide a stamped-addressed envelope. It's much easier to do if you're in the UK or have someone in the UK to do it for you.

Good News regarding renewal of British Passport
The Embassy is now at St Louis BTS. VFS operate from The Trendy offices but only deal with the admin for applications and renewals. The passport itself is issued by HMPO in Liverpool.

5 things you hate most about Thailand
Yes, on reflection I'll replace it with the lack of respect for the environment due to littering. (That said, walking to work in a nice shirt & tie and getting dripped on from canopies did use to drive me crazy).

Has the Dumbing-down of British TV Become a Blight Upon the World? (Slow Decline Beginning c.1976?)
Yes, even The US Office wasn't a patch on the UK original. However, original sitcoms like Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm knock the socks off most UK comedies.

I could easily think of 5 things I hate about my 'home' country as well. Maybe you're just easy to please.

Crackdown Success: Foreign Nationals Arrested in Thailand
It's hardly a surprise that most crime in Thailand is committed by Thai nationals!

Has the Dumbing-down of British TV Become a Blight Upon the World? (Slow Decline Beginning c.1976?)
It is noticeable how most truly great TV now comes for the US (Succession, Better Call Saul) or South Korea (Squid Game).

Why not also deport all the listed nationalities who are already here (plus Australia/NZ who you missed off the list)? Thailand for Thais, right? ????

Renewal of British passport in Chiang Mai
https://www.passport.service.gov.uk/overseas/information/thailand/renew/adult All quite easy. Fill in the forms and check what additional docs you need, then make an appointment and take everything to VFS in Chiang Mai. You'll also need a colour copy of every page of your current passport.

What was your wife/girlfriend's employment when you first met her? And what is she doing now?
I doubt he cares. It's just a discussion thread to try and get some interest/banter going. There's no necessity to participate in it or even read it!

Bar work. Now's she a full-time wife and mother.

Thailand: Pita’s loss is Thaksin’s gain
I'm inclined to disagree. Most of MF's huge youth vote was because of his promise about 112.

Bar Girl / Prostitute.
So they just use the 'rooms upstairs'?
-
Bar Girl / Prostitute.
They are all aimed at Thais (or Asians generally) in Bangkok. You'll find most of them in the Ratchada area.

Top BBC presenter ‘stripped to underwear in video call with teen he paid for explicit pictures’
It would have been illegal if he'd done that, but he didn't! Not for the first time, The Sun was wrong (just like with their Hillsborough reporting). It seems perfectly black & white, which is why, currently, the police are satisfied that no crime has been committed.

No, they all quoted the 'story' from The Sun.

Top BBC presenter ‘stripped to underwear in video call with teen he paid for explicit pictures’
Not if the allegations made by The Sun were false!

You might be right. But as Edwards' career is now finished anyway, I would think he (not the BBC) would be able to sue The Sun for defamation.
