Many years ago I found similar in a pack of French Toast thingys, I sent them back to the manufacturer who wrote us a nice letter telling us what they were and a very nice hamper, I just wish I had found them before I had eaten half the pack ????
Know what you mean....
Having very bad eyesight, I cooked a batch of rice thinking the 'dark bits' were wild rice. It was only a few months later (and having bought spectacles in the meantime) that I realised the 'dark bits' were insects......
It took me quite a long time to find this funny!

10 hours ago, 7by7 said:As I said to you in the post you quoted, and have said many times before, Leave meant many different things to many different people.
How many voted for a no deal Brexit in which we would join Mauretania in trading only on WTO terms without any trade agreements with anyone; not even our biggest trading partner?
How many voted to leave, but have a Swiss type of deal afterwards?
How many voted for something in between those two extremes?
Do you know? I don't.
No one in the Leave campaign ever told us what leaving would actually mean. This is probably because, as Rees-Mogg has admitted, they had no idea at the time!
Maybe you didn't notice out there, but here in the UK the label Remoaner appeared at the same time as Brexiteer; if not before!
I thought you would have known how the alternative vote system works.
A brief explanation.
In this case, three options on the ballot paper:
1) Leave with May's deal.
2)Leave with no deal.
3) Cancel Article 50 and Remain.
Each voter marks their first and second choice; leaving the third blank.
In the first round of counting, only the first choices are counted. If any option receives 50% plus one of these that is declared the winner.
If not, then the option with the fewest first choices is eliminated and the second choices on those papers allocated to the appropriate option.
This gives the winner.
So, unless the remain option receives more than 50% of the first choices it will lose.
Unless it is a leave option which is eliminated after the first count and enough of those who voted for that option put remain as their second choice for it to win! How likely is that?
As I said to nontabury; the odds on a leave option winning are 2/1 on, whilst the odds on the remain option winning are 2/1 against!
I've pointed out a couple of times previously that one of the options is leave, and another is 'leave in name only'.....
Hopefully, I won't have to do so again.
The reasons why the eu/may agreement is so unpopular has also been spelt out on either this, or another thread - but you preferred to ignore those responses and continue pretending that nobody has pointed out that the problems.....
Not least of which is that it would leave us tied (and paying) the eu until THEY decided that the backstop problems had been sorted to THEIR satisfaction....
Sorry to be a bit rude, but I'm also tired of this fiasco.

Sadly, these types of horror continue to happen - and always will ☹️.

So much for their protestations that an extension (in the absence of the uk govt. agreeing to the deal) wouldn't be allowed.....

But I apologise.
Having complained about petty disputes amongst posters - I'm now doing the same!
Very sorry, and I will desist from continuing this disagreement.

Game set and match?? ..re your 450 million..how many of them are citizens of subsidy junkie counties?? dependant on the likes of my home country the UK..FOR FINANCIAL HANDOUTS to " keep the big bad wolf away? ".
Exactly what do the eu subsidy junkie member countries hsve to offer? What do they bring to the party??
Sent from my SM-G7102 using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
It really doesn't matter as MPs have decided that we will remain within the eu.
We're now looking at how the electorate will react to this.

another ridiculous invention of yours like last weeks minus 5% German bond issue and the 11 Cents fall of the EUR vs. GBP.
Hang on a minute, are you denying that many young, leave voters were convinced that brexit would make it difficult for them to holiday in the eu?
Of course more than a few brexit voters had no idea, in the same way as more than a few remain voters had no idea.....

Which is why they insisted that a short- term deal would not be allowed.
Far better to 'lock' the uk into another budget period..... And the brit. govt. is happy to go along with this.....

Is it possible that they had no idea how to help fix the thing... I am generous but have no mechanical aptitude. If you are giving a gift, then asking others to help the recipient, you are giving them a job they might not want to do or be capable of... and then they are put in a position of having to say "No." [not polite] or admit they are not capable [not fun] - neither of which is comfortable for them... it doesn't sound to me as if they were being cruel or not generous, just not knowing how to react in an uncomfortable situation...
I have spent near 20 years living in a Thai village -your generosity will be noted and appreciated but likely nobody will ever verbalize it...
As I said previously, they rushed to help when I had problems starting the samlor....
They also rushed over when a friend had problems starting his car.....
I'm not trying to be dramatic about this, but the change of attitude was clear to see ☹️.

Well, that's nice - - glad to hear something positive... sorry if I was too sensitive but I am just tired of the "all Thai" generalizations followed by a bash... I have noted in my village and nearby city that people are not only kind but generous in helping the-d least fortunate... I am glad he found a good use for the samlor.
I've never been the type to post generalisations, followed by a bash - as most Thais have gone out of their way to help me when I was in trouble.
I was just shocked at their reaction to an extremely poor (destitute?) guy, as they've nearly always been so good to me!

FWIW - I've just heard from a friend (who would recognise my old samlor) that he saw the guy to who it was given.
Apparently the side car was full of tin cans/plastic etc.
So hopefully I was able to help him in a small way ????.

Once more for your poor confused, deluded, brain:
The EU will allow as many deadlines, extensions and suspensions as are needed to give the UK time to change its mind about leaving.
I knew a remain poster would be along shortly to say that the eu had changed it's mind 'cos they cared about the uk ????!

"haha a brexiteers questioning someones intelligence is always worth a chuckle"
I've no doubt you believe this which is very sad.
But of course remainers have been told by the media that only the uneducated/unintelligent etc. etc. voted for remain - and of course the unintelligent believe them - as they are sure that they are intelligent ????!
