I'm not to sure about that DD. I do not know one person, back in the UK, that would support the monarchy staying after the present queen kicks the bucket.
The Germans run the EU.
EU (along with the City) runs UK parliament.
German lady on the throne.
And we won the war (allegedly).
The would - if Wills took over?
I'm not a fan of the monarchy obviously, but most seem to like charles and dianas' oldest son?

The eu have continually said that they would not allow an extension beyond the 12th April (unless uk MPs agree to their deal).
Why are they changing their mind?

To be fair, pretty much all MPs have been the same for decades....
Sadly for them, the current politicians have been caught out in their lies as a result of the brexit vote.

ok - i get it now - he was happy to get the samlor, you think, and then you wanted other people to help him with mechanical issues and they were either not wanting to or not capable of helping, and by that, you conclude that NO Thai people are helpful or generous... ???
I give up (again) as I've already pointed out that I've received lots of help from Thais.
My post was directed at the attitude of Thais towards the obviously 'down and out' Thais.

If the government of the day cannot pass legislation parliament can be dissolved.
Parliament has already shown itself to care nothing about the electorate.
The last thing we need is for the monarchy to take over!
At the moment, most people (for some obscure reason) support the monarchy - they certainly don't need to be turned into a divisive figure head.

Shame you couldn't have done so in the first place, though.
I did, you just preferred not to realise this in the same way that you ignore posters who have replied to your questions....

Whether you did or not is irrelevant. 'Likes' can be removed, but I doubt you'd sink that low.
Going to answer the question? A simple Yes or no will suffice.
Dodging it does you no favours.
Fair enough, no I didn't like the poster's poll related opinion.
And you're right, I wouldn't remove a 'like' after the fact.

The best time to consider changing one's mind is before the decision is irreversible, not after.
Polls show that many of those who voted Leave have changed their minds.
But you probably dismiss all polls which don't give the result you wish!
Of course, there is really only one reason why Brexiteers are against a second referendum; you suspect that as the facts of Brexit are now far more apparent than before, this time you'll lose!
Personally, I dismiss all polls nowadays.
But no doubt you still believe those that agree with your pov.....

Do you have the same dismissive attitude to the poll posted by @vinny41
I doubt it, as that was a pro Brexit one!
No idea. Did I 'like' the post?

Of course, any system is open to hackers, bots etc.; but those who run the petitions site have said that they have updated their security measures considerably since the bot scandal of 2016. Those who try may get a confirmed message, but once discovered their votes are removed.
Is the “stop Brexit” petition reliable?
For obvious reasons, they don't go into details of their security.
Who to believe? The people responsible for the security of the petitions site, or a bunch of people who are pro Brexit and anti any opposition to it!
Yeah, right.
They also said that they could delete any vote that they considered to be a fake, without even the voter realising.....
This didn't throw up a few red flags for you?

Back on topic, this thread makes it very clear that the brit. parliament is desperately looking for a way to remain within the eu - without the voters realising....
I doubt it will work - but full marks for effort....

All I can say is that no-one starves in Thailand, not even the down and out Farangs, not even the dogs. As for attitudes to poor people, I remember my SO saying to some old lady rubbish collector "Bai nai", she said "Bai ha gig". Ha!
Disagree entirely with most of your post having rescued a soi dog that were was very sick - it turned out to be pneumonia.
The 'local' Thais couldn't understand why she wasn't keen on left-over rice and curry anymore.....

Personally, I'm sick and tired of the whole thing - but appreciate the entertainment value as politicians try to find their way around 'no deal'. ????

I do think that Brexiteers Project Fear is far more alluring....
Brexit: Buying ham sandwich in Derry to eat in Donegal could be illegal from Saturday week
In a no-deal scenario taking shopping from Newry to Dundalk will be ‘smuggling’ – EU
Buying a ham sandwich in Derry and walking across the Border to eat it in Donegal could be illegal from Saturday week, an act of smuggling. As could that family weekly supermarket shopping trip to Newry from Dundalk.
If the UK leaves the EU on April 13th with no-deal, a scenario now described by the commission as “highly likely”, the imposition of health controls between the EU and this “third country” will bring with it a ban on the export to the EU of all animal-based products, including meats and dairy products. From ham to pork pies, and Cheddar to Wensleydale. Butter too.
Unless, that is, an exporter is registered on an EU authorised exporter list as conforming to EU production and health standards.
Commission officials briefing journalists on no-deal planning for food and health product imports confirmed on Thursday that would mean prohibitions on all such material crossing the Irish Border, whether or not there are border posts and controls on it.
In practice that may mean there will be no-one to take the ham sandwich off you on the Donegal side of the Border.
Depressing. Project fear in overdrive.

Probably better if you quoted the old post?

Come on teddy, it's not that hard to respond to posts beneath (rather than on top) of them.
Obviously it's unimportant - but it makes posts easier to read.

If the people you asked were from your own country you would have thought "those people don't want to help the poor." But because they were from a different country you said Thais don't want to help the poor.
You're possibly right.
It just came as a shock - as they've always been so helpful to me.

Hmmmm....I don’t know about thais being kind but in my experience as a farang being kind it seems to be seen as a weakness
As a female, I've only experienced this a couple of times.
I've mostly been lucky insofar as Thais have always rushed to my help when in a bad situation. Which is why I was so shocked and depressed yesterday at their reaction to an obviously very poor, Thai guy.

If the EU really had control over the UK, the UK would not be up to its neck in chaos and uncertainty now.
Of course the eu doesn't have 'control', that's part of the plan for the future.
We have chaos and uncertainty as the eu and may have conspired to present the worst 'deal' possible, hoping they can convince the electorate that it's leave........
