  1. If your flight is before 7 November COE can be used, after 7 November TP.
  2. Where did you read that? It is still a requirement as of 12 hours ago: "For those who travel from 45 countries/1 territory with an exemption of quarantine, they are still required to undergo ATK test when having risk symptoms or on day 6-7 of their stays as well" https://www.facebook.com/thailandprd/photos/a.251619424861479/4761139233909453/
  3. Worth a few thousand Baht IMO, unlikely to need it but for the price not worth the risk.
  4. There have been reports of Emirates paying out.
  5. With the new ThailandPass not sure, with COE you had to upload it in the first stage so you wouldn't have got pre-approval if they didn't accept it. Assuming it would be similar but until 1 November who knows. That for me could be a deal breaker. There are numerous policies out there that do such as AXA (https://www.axa.co.th/axa-sawasdee-thailand-travel-insurance?) and Tune (https://misterprakan.com/en/pass/company?c=655) Thai insurers more likely to but some western do too, just have to shop around and get them to confirm.
  6. To not sue the hotel if both end up in quarantine if one tests positive.
  7. Depends on where you are flying in from. Sandbox (basically re-branded to Blue Zones) is only relevant to fully vaxed people flying in from countries not on the "safe countries" list. Can't say I've looked for that option but as far as I'm aware details are still being finalised (as in what accommodation will be available).
  8. Correct. Potentially airline could refuse you boarding, with the hassles nowadays not worth the risk. You can easily get a throwaway ticket for $10-15: https://onward.flights/ https://bestonwardticket.com/ https://onwardticket.com/ https://onewayfly.com/ etc.
  9. 1 No. 2 Insurance only has to cover the time you are initially stamped in for. It has to clearly and specifically state it covers Covid, whether or not they will accept the "small print" will come down to the person checking it on the day. 3 No. Given the information provided, enter (visa exempt, TR or Non O) and convert to extension based on retirement (bit of hassle and maybe overkill, but covers the eventuality border hops don't open up) or you could also go for STV which gives you 9 months (personally I think STV sucks but it fills a need for those under 50). Or, you could just grab a Non O-A again good for basically 2 years depending on your travel plans.
  10. Ask again in a few days when the new system is active. I believe the idea is instead of the extensive paperwork checks, as per current regime, all they should do is scan your QR code and view paperwork not used to gain the Pass e.g. negative CPR result. How it is actually implemented remains to be seen.
  11. I think they have a problem, IMO they should change flights.
  12. You need a policy that specifically states it covers Covid; if you have a "normal" policy that meets that requirement no problem, if it doesn't then you can get a supplementary "Covid" policy to do so.
  13. Not quite; the positive plus people around them, not the totality of passengers.
  14. The only stipulation is it needs to cover Covid.

  16. Agreed, just saying they should clarify the requirements and the ramifications for not complying. "If experiencing no symptoms, travellers must use the provided ATK for COVID-19 self-testing on Day 6-7, and show the result to staff at the hotel or accommodation, as well as record the result (both detected and non-detected) in the MorChana App." My bold above makes no sense in the context of "test and go" particularly for those heading home/staying with family/staying with girlfriend/partner.
  17. Not uploading the results would be a dumb thing to do IMO, but we know people do dumb things here daily and I doubt they'd even go as far as you've outlaid.
  18. Capitalising words doesn't mean something will be complied with and it still ignores the issue raised - what exactly will they do if someone uninstalls the app as soon as they receive the negative result and ignores the requirement?
  19. Not quite sure why you quoted me to post that graphic, I am well aware of the ATK requirement. The graphic still doesn't clarify the issue I raised in the post you quoted i.e. how do they expect it to work for "test and go". Are they going to hunt down anyone that doesn't use the test and upload it to the app?
  20. No, they won't. Just perpetuating the "insurance scam" BS posted on here over and over again. There has never been a requirement for the insurance policy to be via a Thai company.
