  1. A couple of updates, more in the links Key quotes from tonight’s (Saturday) briefing by IDF Spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, marking three months into the war: “We have completed the dismantling of Hamas' military framework in the northern Gaza Strip and will continue to deepen the achievement, strengthening the barrier and the defense components along the security fence. Now, we are focusing on dismantling Hamas in the central and southern Gaza Strip. We will do this differently, thoroughly, based on the lessons we have learned from the fighting so far.” 1/3 The IDF releases new footage of the elite Egoz commando unit operating in southern Gaza, where it says troops raided the home of Hamas’s east Khan Younis battalion commander and battled gunmen in a school. In the town of Bani Suheila on the outskirts of Khan Younis, Egoz troops raided a school where Hamas operatives were holed up. The IDF says the troops killed three gunmen during a battle in the school. On their bodies, it says forces found RPGs and “a lot of intelligence information” about Hamas’s Khan Younis brigade. In a residential home in the area, Egoz soldiers found a cache of weapons used by Hamas operatives, the IDF says. The IDF does not elaborate further on the raid on the home of the Hamas commander.
  2. I didn't expect that, even in the frigging hotels: Come stay at the Blue Beach Hotel in Gaza, where #Hamas replaced the room service and the spa with complementary AK-47s and terrorist tunnels. IDF troops operated at a Hamas terrorist quarters under the Blue Beach Hotel by the beach in northern Gaza, using a range of methods and destroyed the infrastructure earlier this week. Hamas terrorists exploited the hotel, from where they planned and executed attacks both above and below ground. Many weapons were found under the hotel, including AK-47 assault rifles, explosives and drones. During the course of combat, dozens of Hamas terrorists entrenched in the hotel fired anti-tank missiles at IDF forces, who returned fire. During the forces’ operations in the hotel’s area, the soldiers encountered and eliminated terrorists. https://twitter.com/IDF/status/1743355674455613758 IDF says it demolished Hamas tunnel network under northern Gaza beach resort The soldiers discovered at least seven tunnel shafts in the area of the hotel, leading to an underground network of passages where Hamas operatives hid, the IDF says. The IDF says troops recovered in the underground site assault rifles, explosive devices and drones used by Hamas. In November, the IDF said troops killed around 30 Hamas gunmen who were holed up in the hotel, firing anti-tank missiles at the forces. The tunnels, which were recently investigated by troops, were demolished by combat engineers, the IDF says. https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/idf-says-it-demolished-hamas-tunnel-network-under-northern-gaza-beach-resort/
  3. Yes it is. It was Hamas who carried it out, well Hamas and some Palestinian civilians who decided to join in.
  4. He clarified the following day, you should keep up. “I have condemned unequivocally the horrifying and unprecedented 7 October acts of terror by Hamas in Israel. Nothing can justify the deliberate killing, injuring and kidnapping of civilians — or the launching of rockets against civilian targets.” The secretary-general said he spoke of the grievances of the Palestinian people and also stated: “But the grievances of the Palestinian people cannot justify the appalling attacks by Hamas.” https://apnews.com/article/guterres-vacuum-cohen-erdan-justification-terrorism-47732bba62e2b1e9093bb76159ce236a
  5. Its a propaganda move by SA to bring Israel to ICJ. Hamas is already being investigated by the ICC as is Israel
  6. Again....lol I know what this means do you?: "did not violate their rules of engagement" (from you and not any article) I know what this means do you?: "soldiers clearly violating the rules of engagement" (from the IDF investigation and linked article)
  7. I would have had far more faith in the ICC which is independent. The ICJ being UN and its history of anti-Semitism, well lets see.
  8. The dog ate my homework type excuse from the UN........... Lets hope the UN court fare better in this case UN claims antisemitic posts are due to employee account being hacked (January 5, 2024 / JNS) In what reads like the plot of a thriller no one would write, the United Nations claims that an unknown party hacked an employee’s social-media account, posted Jew-hatred (including comparing Israelis to Nazis) and then evidently out of concern for the reputation of the woman that he or she had hacked, deleted the account. Even that sequence of events took some time to get there. At first, the United Nations claimed that the account was a fake and didn’t belong to its employee in Germany, a writer and consultant named Lamia Burkart, and told a man being targeted by the account to delete his posts connecting the account to Burkart. https://www.jns.org/un-claims-antisemitic-posts-are-due-to-employee-account-being-hacked/
  9. That was explained in one of the links I provided, obviously you did not read it.
  10. Why answer a trolling question? If you have to ask me that then you can go back to page one OP. Not here to play games
  11. Yes I know its all here https://www.timesofisrael.com/british-lawyer-to-defend-israel-from-gaza-genocide-claims-in-the-hague/
  12. This topic is about hostages and your link is wrong, that decision has already been confirmed by Israel, its a leading genocide expert, he wrote the book on it....... British barrister to represent Israel against genocide claims A British barrister has been chosen to represent Israel in the International Court of Justice next week, as the country defends itself against a claim of genocide. Professor Malcolm Shaw KC, a leading expert on territorial disputes and a published author on the law of genocide, was said to be “proud, honoured and privileged” to have been handed the case. A graduate of both the University of Liverpool and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Professor Shaw’s selection signals Israel’s reversal of a decades-long policy of boycotting the UN court, which is based in The Hague. https://archive.ph/HWLXw https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2024/01/04/british-barrister-to-represent-israel-genocide-claim/
  13. That will probably make as much difference to Israel as it did to Russia when it appealed the provisional decision on the Ukraine case
  14. Yes I posted that a "provincial decision" may be made before the final one earlier in the topic.....lol If it does Israel may also not accept decision, and raise “preliminary objections” to the Court’s jurisdiction and the inadmissibility of the application.
  15. Jolly good, that was always my point too. Currently many professionals think it is meritless and fact less but lets see what the judges decide, it will be a few years of waiting on that for a full decision based on other cases.
  16. I don't know, do you think the judge will be looking at that and making his own determination?
  17. I'm with you, I made a similar post some time ago. But I'll expand a little. Just like the war between Ukraine and Russia I believe there is a clear instigator who started this and who has carried out mass atrocities. I don't believe in sitting on the fence with that war and I don't believe in sitting on the fence on the war between Israel and the terrorists Hamas. Just like the Ukraine/Russia war, while I am firmly on the side of Ukraine, I also believe that Ukraine has committed a few unfortunate incidents that could be classed as war crimes, however they are few are far between, Russia however has been systematic in this and on a very different scale with intent. The same can be said of this war. Hamas carries out war crimes systemically and daily, its part of its make up, how it fights. Using human shields are a war crime as is using the civilian infrastructure to fight from and of course rockets fired indiscriminately into civilian areas into Israel, along with a good percentage of those landing back in Gaza killing its own civilians. This is without even mentioning the 7th oct atrocities. The IDF has also made mistakes in its bombing campaign and admitted as such in some incidents, they could if investigated be possible war crimes? Again the huge difference here is scale and intent, Hamas deliberate daily war crimes with intent. If Israel stops, Hamas will not, its already said it will carry on and on again with attacks like Oct 7th. The only way for this to end is with Hamas totally dismantled as much as can be and a new Palestinian gov in Gaza if that is possible.
  18. This is how it usually goes in a debate: Hamas apologist: "Not all Palestinians are Hamas" Israeli: "We're going to eradicate Hamas" Hamas apologist: "OMG YOU WANT TO KILL ALL PALASTINIANS"
  19. When you have nothing else, go to your fall back, its up to the judges, yes we know. Expect a full decision in a few years, the most that will happen now is a provisional decision in a few weeks.
  20. Yes I called it a farce before, I've elaborated a little it is also a sham. However according to those with more knowledge than me, its also fact less and meritless
  21. do you think the judges will be ignoring the evidence of Hamas deliberately using civilians as human shields
