  1. Great news, its been confirmed that Ukraine has advanced a few kilometers in Bakhmut. Russian MOD also confirming that Russian forces have moved back.
  2. Tweet from Chief Foreign-Affairs Correspondent of The Wall Street Journal Russian MOD confirms that Russian troops redeployed to “more advantageous defensive positions” along the Berkhivka reservoir north of Bakhmut — or, in plain English, retreated by several km. https://twitter.com/yarotrof/status/1656970691227549696
  3. Good for you!! This from CNN Anderson Cooper “If we all only listen to those we agree with, it may actually do the opposite. If lies are allowed to go unchecked, as imperfect as our ability to check them is on a stage in real-time, those lies continue and those lies spread,” Cooper continued. “If you’re angry or upset, I understand. But you have the power to do something about it,” he concluded. “You can actually get involved. You can make a difference, whatever side of the aisle you’re on. After last night, none of us can say, ‘I didn’t know what’s out there. I didn’t know what’s coming.’” https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/anderson-cooper-addresses-disturbing-trump-025940399.html
  4. Yet that's not what Trumps own lawyer is claiming if you bothered to read the link. Carroll's lawyer wanted to reject this juror because of his bias but it was denied.
  5. Indeed apologies given for my mistake on not noticing the remark on the judge in your first post. Nothing to do with webs being weaved. However as stated even from Trumps own lawyer: Trump lawyer rejected claim that juror’s political affiliation signified bias “A juror’s political affiliation is not grounds for dismissal, even in cases involving a political figure,” said Trump lawyer Joe Tacopina in a May 2 filing that was unsealed by U.S. District Court Judge Lewis Kaplan on Wednesday. Kaplan ultimately sided with Tacopina’s argument, leaving the juror in place. https://www.politico.com/news/2023/05/10/trump-lawyer-e-jean-carroll-jurors-00096308 So perhaps next time you say you've read most of the thread, read again.
  6. You still did not read through the thread and see what an appeal can be based on did you? Its nothing to do with how the jurors were picked or their affiliations, your added comment on the judge was not included in your original post but I see your now attempting a deflection from your original claim.
  7. I suggest you look through the thread. Its nothing to do with that. At least one of the jurors in his disclosures when chosen, admitted he listens to Tim Pool, a far-right, pro-Trump commentator who has aligned himself with figures like Steve Bannon. He was still allowed to be a juror.
  8. And in Michigan they are resorting to having to ban backpacks in some schools for fear of pupils carry hand guns in them.......... Second Michigan school district bans backpacks due to gun concerns A second Michigan school district has banned backpacks on school premises due to concerns about gun violence, after a third-grade student was found with a loaded gun. Grand Rapids public schools said on Wednesday the weapon was discovered that morning at Stocking elementary school. It was the fourth time this year the district has uncovered a student with a handgun – three of them in backpacks. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/may/11/second-michigan-school-district-bans-backpacks-due-to-gun-concerns
  9. Ukraine Is Neutralizing Russian Air Defense Systems Ahead Of The Counteroffensive Thus far in the war, both sides have employed such systems to protect their ground forces from incoming missiles and aircraft strikes. However, the Ukrainians have managed to systematically destroy Russian air defense assets, which the Russians have struggled to replace. This has the potential to play a large role in the forthcoming counter-offensive, allowing the Ukrainians to potentially control the airspace over Ukraine. https://www.forbes.com/sites/vikrammittal/2023/05/10/ukraine-is-neutralizing-russian-air-defense-systems-ahead-of-the-counteroffensive/?sh=4e7059fa43b2
  10. Its great news and also more MiG-29s sent from Poland. The counter offensive is coming.............. Poland announces that it has transferred another 4 MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine. It brings to total number of MiG-29s sent from Poland to 14. Time for us in the West to start sending F-16s too! Poland has now delivered both more tanks (330+) and fighter jets (14) to Ukraine than any other country.
  11. No idea, do you not think they've already thought about that and put in place the necessary measures to ensure it all integrates? You asked about what planes, I gave you the info, any more info I suggest you do what I do and search.......
  12. MiG-29 Fulcrum and Sukhoi Su-27 Poland's President Andrzej Duda said last week that his country had already delivered eight MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine and added that it was able to send the whole remaining fleet, which would include those of German origin. Apart from Poland, Slovakia has also committed to send MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine https://www.politico.eu/article/germany-ukraine-poland-mig29-fighter-jet-russia-war/
  13. This is excellent news, usually launched from a fighter plane. Give the orcs some of their own medicine back. "I suspect there will be more nuclear threats from a certain someone tonight"
  14. Yep, even Trump's lawyer was instrumental in picking them, including one who listened to Tim Pool, a far-right, pro-Trump commentator who has aligned himself with figures like Steve Bannon. Trump lawyer rejected claim that juror’s political affiliation signified bias But newly unsealed court filings indicate that Trump’s attorney was making a sharply different argument behind the scenes in order to dissuade the judge from ejecting a juror who listened to podcaster Tim Pool, a far-right, pro-Trump commentator who has aligned himself with figures like Steve Bannon. “A juror’s political affiliation is not grounds for dismissal, even in cases involving a political figure,” said Trump lawyer Joe Tacopina in a May 2 filing that was unsealed by U.S. District Court Judge Lewis Kaplan on Wednesday. Kaplan ultimately sided with Tacopina’s argument, leaving the juror in place. https://www.politico.com/news/2023/05/10/trump-lawyer-e-jean-carroll-jurors-00096308
  15. Very true. International Schools have not been on holidays (apart from 2 weeks Easter/Songkran) and there have not been any covid measures at them for months. All seems well, at least at my daughters one and others in Phuket.
  16. Russian brigade flees from Bakhmut – Ukraine confirms Prigozhin’s claim "Prigozhin’s report about the withdrawal of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces from Bakhmut… is accurate," the message said. The Ukrainian unit added that in the last few days, Ukraine’s Azov tactical group has eliminated 64 enemy troops, injuring 87 more, and capturing five. Some of the soldiers killed were serving with Wagner PMC. “It’s worth mentioning destroyed Russian equipment: several ammunition depots, mortars, and several IFVs,” the report adds. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/russian-brigade-flees-bakhmut-ukraine-214000898.html
  17. Full list of all the charges here along with the full statement of facts, including how he applied to receive unemployment insurance benefits from New York State and federal funds that came from the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act. https://www.thedailybeast.com/george-santos-is-in-custody
  18. About time, those murdering rapists. The European Parliament declared Russia to be a state sponsor of terrorism months ago and the US declared Wagner a criminal organization 2 months ago.
  19. That's what they said. https://www.facebook.com/thailandprd/photos/a.251619424861479/5024047370951970/
  20. Not really, its widely reported elsewhere from official sources that you have missed The suspect, Dallas resident Mauricio Garcia, was shot dead at the scene by a police officer. "We do know he had neo-Nazi ideation," Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Regional Director Hank Sibley told a news conference on Tuesday. "He had patches. He had tattoos." Visible during the attack was a clothing patch the killer wore with the letters RWDS, which stands for "right-wing death squad", a phrase popular among white supremacist groups. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-65540412
  21. By the look of him, he clearly crossed over on the dark side. Very sad. Yes he did indeed. This from his social media account. "He literally wrote that he was a Latino who would "take my chances with the white supremacist" source bellingcat
  22. There's only one Mauricio Garcia shooter. Good read below with all the evidence: Tracing the Odnoklassniki Profile of the Texas Mall Shooter Outside of contextual clues – such as a farewell post right before the 6 May shooting – the account also contains numerous photographs of identification documents. On 5 April 2023, an image of a speeding ticket with Garcia’s name and date of birth visible was posted to the OK account. https://www.bellingcat.com/news/2023/05/09/tracing-the-odnoklassniki-profile-of-the-texas-mall-shooter/
  23. Right-wing media responded to news that the Allen, Texas, shooter is a neo-Nazi by calling it a “psyop” https://www.mediamatters.org/tim-pool/right-wing-media-responded-news-allen-texas-shooter-neo-nazi-calling-it-psyop Yet the police themselves confirmed he had Nazi tattoos and patches on him. https://starlocalmedia.com/allenamerican/authorities-still-searching-for-gunman-s-motive-in-allen-outlet-mall-shooting/article_ef2016e0-ee98-11ed-bcb3-9f4e6aaaa61c.html He also purchased all his guns legally.
