So, I take 5mg of the Thai generic Cialis daily for BHP. I also take telmisartan (20 milligrams), amlodipine (2.5 milligrams), and chlorthalidone (12.5 milligrams) daily. These are 1/2 the amounts of the lowest dose pill I can get here in Thailand so have to pill cut. I was entering into the high BP range without these medicines. Have been taking for over 7 years now after reading the medical results for developing an inexpensive triple BP pill with 600 participants in the study. The results were pretty definite on the BP improvement without any noticeable side effects and have been repeated in several other studies since. Costs me about $.45/day, get from my pharmacy without Dr's note. As long as I take daily, I am zero'd in on what is considered normal BP these days. Note: Since I started this, a lot more medical journals have reported positively on this and a commercial triple pill was eventually released with two of the 3 ingredients I am using, the third ingredient is functionally the same thing as I'm using but I think allows to patent as what I'm using has been off-patent for some time. The latest I found is Widaplik (first to get FDA approval) which is launching later this year in the US. No price yet, but the ingredients are pretty cheap. Hi Everyone, Trying to understand the true meaning of this part of the document (please see photo) I signed that is supposedly tying up my 400,000 baht for 4 months from the date they issued the letter needed for my extension. It is in a CD. Does this mean I cannot access this money at all or that I lose the interest on the CD if I take it out. Does this mean if I don't keep it in there, they will invalidate the letter they gave me possibly endangering my extension (can't see that being the case)? My intention is to remove the 400k after I get me extension stamp. I guess the worse they could do is ask me to remove my account which I have had with them for over 21 years. Thanks in advance!

Several large banks have shut down their websites and went to only mobile banking, ATMs, or in person bank visits. Luckily Bangkok Bank is not one of them but I am still mad at them about having to lock up my 400,000 used to renew my Non-O visa extension for 4 months from the date I received my bank verification letter and not 4 months from when the account was funded (missed it by 3 weeks). If account not funded with 400k+ 4 months prior to coming in for the letter, you have to sign an agreement to lock up the 400k for 4 months from the date they give you the letter for your extension submission or else no letter. I'm going to have a Thai friend translate the agreement to see if I can get my money out once my extension stamp is in the passport. You can't just lock up peoples money like this and expect them to remain customers.

Not a bad idea. Pretty busy right now with kids starting school but will see what I can do about reducing the US tax treaty down to layman's terms and post. There are some interesting things concerning taxing dividends and other types of income on the Thai tax return at certain max rates which do not match the Thai tax return rates as they exists today. I guess you would have a lot of attached notes with treaty references and such to justify the numbers in the Thai return.

Not exactly true. Example: If you have only US Social Security as income, you will not pay tax in the US. Social Security is also exempt from Thai taxes by treaty so no tax at this end either. Other countries treaties might have the same type of exemptions, each one is different.
