  1. But they are both yummy crustaceans 😉
  2. Yup, say goodbye to the prime large shrimp unless you can get it from the producer before the middlemen get'm.
  3. I've seen some videos of walking down Soi 6 in Pattaya in the last week. Overweight, aggressive, 20? (looked more like 30's to me) is right. The girls have forgotten how to be seductive, smile and a wink come hither playful kind of seductive. Now it's just business, flirting is a dead art.
  4. Ya, that is why I can see them asking for US tax returns as part of the Thai tax submission. That is never going to happen for me. I will bring over only my US Social Security that I'm already depositing in a separate account and provide proof of that. Non-taxable to Thailand.
  5. Tax Compliance Letter 6201 is available in your IRS online account approx 7-10 business days after your return or payment is processed (not submission date). It does not show your income but does show if you still have tax due or making payments or have outstanding payments from past years. Does show the last 6 years of missing returns or late filed returns. If you wish to learn more: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/tax-compliance-report
  6. YA, That kind of damage Porsche vs motorbike, one or both had to be seriously speeding.
  7. I know a young woman, very educated and world traveled, in the Thai aerospace sector. Both of us agree, the fact that there is such low maintenance that the planes are not hardly available for training. Bad training leads to...
  8. Also, Just because you renew it early, it does not change the date you get stamped, at least in Chiang Mai. Did mine a month early, still have to come back to immigration about a month after the expiration date of the last extension to get stamped.
  9. Maybe does have, only a small percentage who have HSV-2 ever have recurring breakouts. That does not mean they can't transmit it. https://www.hims.com/blog/is-asymptomatic-herpes-a-thing Also, most of the world has HSV-1, better know as fever blisters or cold sores. There are other Herpes variants, some we get as kids, mild fever, goes away and does not recur. There are 9 HSV variants.
  10. Soooo, it's the end of August soon with 22 million tourists to date and the projection is 200 million total by the end of the yr? Did I miss something?
  11. Evolving? Even evolution makes mistakes!
  12. Guess you've never taken the MRT trains in Singapore. A major transportation service.
  13. Your assuming ground level rail instead of elevated or underground rail which makes more sense.
  14. Just ran across this and there were several recent articles in BKK Post which I can't attach or quote. Anyone ever wonder about the structure at the 2nd ring road Tanawan park (the park with the lighthouse adjacent to 7/11 near Mee Chok plaza) is for? They have put in newer high tension electrical transmission lines in that area in the last couple of years.
  15. Just happened to run across this: https://herorealtor.com/property-transfer-tax-calculator/ Hope it's correct!
  16. Property bought up to do this. Compared to CNX, Phuket is very expensive.
  17. Don't you mean Somali Pirates?
  18. Thanks, but that is a very rudimentary overview. I know there a rather convoluted method that the income tax is calculated at depending on years of ownership so the wife says. If anyone has more info on that I would be appreciative.
  19. Looking for guidance for all the taxes and fees (excluding broker fee) for sale of farm land out in Issan. Wife has a solid cash offer and will be on her way in a week to finalize the agreement but is clueless on the sales expenses. Just realize there is more info needed for this. Selling price is 8,320,000 baht. Gov assessed value is 5,000,000. Land has been owned since 2005. Thanks in advance!
  20. $50,000 is the max for that specific charge in FL, there are other charges with monetary amounts to be determined but you can be assured it's going to be more than $50,000. While no fan, I'm still not sure why Disney is being sued as they only lease the land to the independently owned restaurant but do make sure the restaurant carries proper insurance.
  21. Sorry, misread your message. PM me for info.
