dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
How much in offshore accounts is another thing. He's as crooked as they come. Thailand is corrupt and corruption is just part of doing business here. From the very top down to school and hospital directors corruption is endemic. This everyone is well aware of. -

No. Australia does not have a frozen pension. It's indexed. Getting it, however, is not easy. Can't be bothered explaing. Look it up. -
Frozen pension policy turns British expat's dream into a nightmare

Can't give you anymore money because illigal immigrants are very expensive for the budget. You may be a British national but you are overseas and as such a lesser person to those who aren't Brits who have got a leaky boat to the Isles. It's a very, very sad world.- 709 replies

Frozen pension policy turns British expat's dream into a nightmare
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It's an insane policy. Getting an Australian pension overseas is also insane. Apart from this once again this AI article lacks any editing demonstated in the subheading. It would seem all foreigners no matter what nationality are "beginning to feel a financial strain due to the UK government's pension freeze policy." -
He's a powerful operator who has been in control of PTP since he fled the country. Everyone knows this. He was the one that organised the deal to get himself back and his sister with what I would imagine to be a very expensive deal with the military elite. Thought PTP might win the last election but that didn't happen so I'm sure it cost him extra big time to pay off the senators so as deny the rightful victors government to form a coalition with what the PTP has always been opposed to. The military elite. So many Thaksin supporters will not forget this. He jumped into bed with the enemy.

The thing is you are allowed to say this but if I was to counter your post my post would be removed as disinformation and or conspiracy theory. Bit like when saying the vaccines can cause vaccine injury or death was misinformation/conspiracy but is now fact.

Heatwave Alert: Thailand Expects 43C Weather and Severe Summer Storms
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Agree the 'feels like' or heat index is closer to reality. Quite simply though it's bloody hot and bloody hot every day and there is no let up. -
Heatwave Alert: Thailand Expects 43C Weather and Severe Summer Storms

I see lots of confused emojis to my quoted post. I suggest those who are confused look up the definition of what a heatwave actually is. What we are experiencing is not a heatwave within the definition. What it is is continuous highs at the higher end of April maximum temperatures. This is the unusual part. Maximums are not unusually high for April. -

Ex-Deputy House Speaker Blamed by NACC for Serious Breach of Ethics

As we all know what is unlawful for some is ignored/swept under the carpet for others here in The Land of Smiles which is totally corrupt from the very top. -

Not sure if too many will see this but I've heard from someone high up in a health dept that the Bangkok govenor is contemplating NOT reopening schools after the break. Keeping a close eye on the numbers. Same for Samut Sakhon Gov.

Thai Airways bids farewell to iconic Boeing 747 ‘Queen of the Skies’

Might be 100% better but I'll bet it's still ChatGPT generated as this article is. -

It seems that there is no such thing as fact checking and/or editing when it comes to pumping out AI generated articles. At least there sure doesn't seem to be. IMHO if these people call themselves journalists they have no right to do so. -
Officials Concerned Over Potential Overcrowding in Pattaya and Phuket
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
You may well be interested to know that these "farm girls" as you say are very good earners for the economy. Much of what they earn goes back to support their familes. I saw once that's it's the second biggest export economy for Issan. As for the pensioner quip are you talking about expats that put money into the economy year in year out with many supporting families? I do realise though that the powers that be here sadly do not recognise this.- 109 replies
