Thailand Urges Peaceful Resolution Amid Myawaddy Conflict
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Thailand Urges Peaceful Resolution Amid Myawaddy Conflict One of the more rediculous headlines often seen on this site. A peaceful resolution to a full blown civil war against a junta. The only resolution will be when the junta collapses which is seeming more and more likely although the junta is still powerful. Thailand, ASEAN and the world have a lot to answer for for turning a blind eye to a military junta that forcibly overthrew a democratically elected government. Not such a suprise from Thailand I guess which is run by the military. The CCP which has withdrawn it's support for the junta and now backs the Tripple Brotherhood Alliance must be rubbing their hands together if the junta falls to possibly move in. Who knows but Myanmar is a basket case. -
Sweet sorrow: Thailand’s sugarcane harvest takes a hit

Well it sure hasn't rained much that's for sure. Last year's wet season was very late, not very wet and very short. Thailand has been hot and dry for quite a long period. Wonder how the dam levels are looking. -

Might still be visable tonight 5% above horizon in the west after sunset, however, naked eye you'll be lucky to see much. -

Plant-based meat popularity fuels new ventures in Thailand

So the poularity of this rubbish is growing? If it is it wouldn't be by much. Vegans are nutters and a miniroriy interest/pressure group. Humans are animals of the omnivore variety. This is a scientific fact. Personally I like meat from an animal not fake meat made by scientists/chemists. -

Thai government’s Ofos project to create 20 million jobs from June

20,000,000 x 200,000 = 4,000,000,000,000. Four trillion baht. Something tells me that someone somewhere has made a very large error. If not this is just fanciful. -
I sincerely apologise for my error. Wait! Is it an error though? Miltiray, economic, control of recources and people could also be seen as 4 different parts of just one thing. Dominance.

Scorching heat sparks storm warning across 26 Thai provinces

Agree but I think it's fair to say that April this year is a hot one. Hotter than usual looking at historic figures over the last few years. -
They are comparable because they are all endemic. Colds, flu and dengue are seasonal and covid surges might also be seasonal. They are also comparable in that they are all viruses and 3 out of the 4 are infectious. Now tell me they are not comparable.
-
Seasonal covid. Seasonal colds. Seasonal flu. Seasonal dengue fever. It's called endemic.
-
Bet they don't cover excess deaths and vaccine injury though.

Scorching heat sparks storm warning across 26 Thai provinces

For once The Thaiger has refrained from saying heatwave in the headline. Good. This month has been and still is a scorcher though. As for the forecast of storms we'll have to wait and see but I'd say every person in Thailand is hoping for a good summer storm and a lasting cool change. -
Move Forward party leads Pheu Thai by a wide margin in new poll
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Always good to have an expert on polling on the thread. If you think this is "meaningless and misleading" why don't you look back to the actual results of the last election. This poll suggests that MFP is increasing their lead after what was already a landslide victory in they were undemocratically denied their right to form government. Why would this be "meaningless and misleading"? -
I've said this many times for many years. The CCP is THE most dangerous bunch of a..holes on the planet. Xi Jinping wants only one thing. Complete dominance over his own people which he basically already has and economic and military dominance in the Asia Pacific Region.

Covid 19, flu and the common cold are three distinctly different viruses. It's now 2024 and you still do not know this?
-
What a silly comment. Like the flu and the common cold covid is here to stay.

Cadmium scandal sheds light on loopholes in Thai law on hazardous waste
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Interestingly the full article does not mention corruption which may well have played a part. Environmental laws are a joke here with officials being paid off to turn a blind eye. 30 years ago one could safely swim in the khlongs in and around Bangkok. They are all poisoned now with industrial waste not to mention all the garbage. It is illegal to discharch industrial waste into the khlongs yet it is a widespread practice. -
I'm not a Brit but with expats I think they missed an important point which links the increase in living costs and the fixed pension. Other than this it's a pretty good article albeit most likely ChatGPT and applies IMO across the board.

Does this mean articles actually written by humans with no disconnect between headlines, images and articles or just more AI articles with inaccurate headlines and images? Can't wait to see. My guess is more of the same including more very annoying pop ups which Bitdefender has to keep blocking. I had an interesting result when I checked if this article is ChatGPT generated.
