  1. XBB is still Omicron. https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(23)00390-2/fulltext
  2. An interesting chart. The gap between deaths of the vaccinated and unvaccinated in the US has narrowed considerably. https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/united-states-rates-of-covid-19-deaths-by-vaccination-status
  3. The big problem for the big three (it's actually an oligopoly) is when half decent beers are widely available at a reasonable price people will stop drinking their cat's piss that passes for beer.
  4. And out of that 7 million (it's probablly more) died in the Delta era and how many now during the Omicron era? Delta was the big killer.
  5. 64 out of >70,000,000 is still a very small number. This is undeniable and how many of these 64 had one or more severe comorbitities and how many of the 64 can be directly related to covid. These are important questions the information of which we are not given. This is Deaths associated with Covid-19 in Australia. https://www.health.gov.au/health-alerts/covid-19/case-numbers-and-statistics?language=und#covid19-associated-deaths Please note the 1st dot point.
  6. Never heard of mom and pop shops then? There's one directly behind my closet 711. 14:01 buying a beer? No problem.
  7. If you're going to quote me at least have the manners to quote more than one word. As for XBB it's been around since the beginning of the year and is for the majority a non-severe variant and all it's sub-variants are also non-severe.
  8. It's a fair point. When China lifted it's zero covid lockdown everyone was wearing masks and covid spread thoughout the country in a matter of weeks.
  9. How many lives globally since Omicron took over? Well let's have a look at how things have changed shall we. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
  10. Are you saying that getting vaccinated against Covid means you can avoid contracting it?
  11. I don't think in my entire life have I ever heard a business group say a pay rise is a good thing not a decent pay rise anyway. Give you a bit more put up prices more than that and increase our profits. That would be acceptable.
  12. The reality of how many people are getting vaccinated. https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/daily-covid-vaccination-doses-per-capita?country=OWID_WRL~European+Union~GBR~USA~CHN~IND~AUS~THA
  13. Better to have yaba in circulation. More money for the bosses as people get addicted to this nasty drug.
  14. Yep. People die. People die with Covid. People die from Covid. Guarantee you more people die daily from other things. Covid would not top the list. Not even close.
  15. It would seem that this is not the case. It's Omicron. If another variant other than Omicron comes in and could be fatal as you say then the current vaccines would be useless. Omicron is rolling along quite nicely. For something else to come in and out dominate Omicron is pure speculation and who is to know if it will be more severe or less severe than Omicron.
  16. Now equate that to the population of Thailand 70,303,685 and again there is no mention of comorbidities or died with or died from Covid. Maybe some perspective is needed.
  17. I can't even PM you on this but if you look at my initial response to you, you will see what I'm saying. I asked you have you been vaccinated?
  18. Not somewhat. A lot. They are two different beasts. The emergence of Omicron, it's rapid evolution and it's dominance over Delta is a good thing. Delta has been taken out of the evolutionary process.
  19. I would like to say something but any conversation around this is still taboo. Glad to hear your improving.
  20. Have you been vaccinated? Not sure covid can give you COPD. Certainly a comorbidity so can make it worse. https://sprylyfe.com/blogs/oxygen-blog/does-covid-19-cause-copd
  21. There might be this number on ventilators but are they on ventilators because of covid. There's something else going around. Friend thought he might have covid. Got tested twice at hospital. Nurse told him he didn't have Covid but there is a cold going around.
  22. Without going into comorbities and with covid or from covid I find the interesting bit is an average of "376 cases a day" being admitted yet estimating "actual daily infections could be between 18,800 and 26,112.... ." We can average that to around 21 or 22,000. Out of this number 376 average are admitted to hospital. Chances of getting it is very slim. Chances of needing to be hospitalized is very slim and chances of dying almost nil.
