So it's now soot? But it also can contaminate the vessel? Explain that. Did any get poured into products? How many tons does the crucible hold? I hope no one gets to sick. -

I'm not fond of religions or monks but I wouldn't go against the blessing of the foundations if I ever built a house in Thailand. It is a wonderful feeling how the helpers come to set up cooking tent and all the people cook. If anyone is building a retaining wall that needs to hold back fill it is best to do it right and provide drainage above and at base of wall and proper footing and a design that can support the weight. Also it can't be built on fill. It's also proper to have perpendicular walls every 10m or so. They can be sub surface in inside or showing if outside. The amount of force wet dirt can exert on a wall is not imaginable for most people. As proven by the many leaning walls.

The inspector is at the end of the line after drivers begin their journey they have to do a touch and go so he can see the meter light is on. They so have lights for a reason. If this slows down the line to much add a light on the front of the cab that must be visible. I have had a high % of taxi drivers who did a good job. But still not many use Google maps to avoid traffic but just go the old tried method. I know they are just adding to the fare sometimes. I also had a early morning race car driver who I swear was shifting gears and keeping the engine redlined going down Suk. It was scary and luckily I was sitting in the left as one time as this guy maxing out the taxis engine like it wasn't his went to pass a truck in the left and I he headed my warning yell as there was a parked car only I could see. Would have been dead as I swear we were doing 80-kph on suk. It also showed lack of police enforcement as he had no fear of a reckless driving ticket or losing his license.

Such a simple solution. At the end of the airport taxi numbered waiting area post a cop that checks if all the taxi meters are on. If not on instant life ban no second chances. I said it before that many of you posters have helped perpetuate this taxi problem by not causing a stir when taxis refuse fares or don't use the meter. I always get replies from people who have thicker wallet than brains that it is such a good deal compared to where they come from. Even my Thai wife gets rejected so much that she always let's the cabbie roll his window down to get his approval before thinking about opening the door. To my USA thinking it should be taxi is waved down, you open door, get in and tell him where to go and meter on and he does his job. But I swear the pickup rate for me and us has been about 20% during my 12 trips and 8 months in Thailand. I also caught one taxi with a toggle switch wire going to the meter. This was about 6 years ago so no risk from officials at that time. I just paid him what I thought fair and gave him a dirty look. But my opinion of taxi drivers and enforcement of the rules is lower than dirt. A taxi driver should be allowed to make 2-3 times a factory worker but that's it.

This thread should be a chapter in the next * advice to falang in Thailand, pretty dancer II* book. The only other foreigner married to a Thai from my wife's village had similar issues with his FIL. He put his foot down. FIL was acting like construction foreman. And making changes to do things his way. Things were still tense between falang and fiL as he moved in but I imagine things will smooth out. You got to realize that a new home construction is a big deal in most Thai villages. I even went to look. Especially for a family member who has falang paying. The lucky Thai gal in village. But also your bro in laws house building experience is based on old village standards and he probably can't control heady sub contractors. My bro in law 50, does work on houses but his methods are so old school and wrong and he is the best in the area. Spending 22 days around his various projects we grew a bond and I showed him a few tips and slowly , gently, he learned maybe all falang not dumb. I did little things at first. Foreseeing that they would need stakes and a hammer to shore up cement forms during a pour, before they saw the need. And then they needed something and used all of the pile I brought and I saw lightbulbs going off in him and the workers heads. Respect only comes by action. Another project I showed him how to back butter the first tile and was happy to see near completion that he made this his new method. It was obvious that it was a better method as there was no adhesion when I stopped him and, at risk of a fight if I wasn't his bro in law, pulled up his first tile. On a house footing job I Showed him the 345 triangle square method and one of his workers was like yes as he knew about it. I carefully showed him how accurate it can be. This was on string lines laying out pillar footings for a house build. For the footings his 20mm in 15 m error was ok but for the final pillar and steel placement hopefully he used this trick. He did have a laser level. But his tool box so sparse. After you see the benefits of a laser you can't go without. Just asked my wife and she says she could tell her bro in law to stay away. But I'm doubtful. I would be onsite for any construction and it is standard advice but also Ihave read so many times not to build in wife's village. It would take some convincing but I would build some 10 km away , I ever move there, minimum but also near a larger isaan small city or better in a cooler location with a sea breeze, where a man's movements would have some privacy. I say buy new fencing and let him build it free per your drawings. I don't think you will stop his help completely. The Pattaya idea is sound as you do have 1000 options as the saying goes and it is true.

Somsak confident Pheu Thai will form post-election government
Elkski replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
My wife's family are anti thaskin for some reason. But I wonder how these poor villagers choose? Is it dictated at the monthly village head meetings? Brainwashing? Mom does watch some news on tv. Many in the village are not keen on marijuana it seemed. They had problems with some young hard drug dealers in the village and maybe all drugs except bettlenut are bad? I think they lean towards royalists. Because I know my wife wasn't supportive of the young protesters. I've shown her the press in the real World media on this matter. I tell her if it's ok for him it's ok for me too. Plus how does Somsak think people will know he switched sides? Or is this more that he knows most people are sick of prayut so he went to odds on favorite like he says. -
So getting caught with e cig, I don't use, or wife checking into a hotel would be a yellow or red? Half the times when wife checks in they don't ask for my passport. If I stay in village or friends I never report. Good think I've spent 17 days in Phuket and don't need to go back. I guess public nudity or sex would be a yellow card or red depending? Thailand has some real thinkers in government they do.

He stood on a street with traffic driving by? Did he wear type 4 body armor? As far as legalization, the pot has been spilled in the carpet. -
Does this shed have any walls. 10 posts? Can't imagine a spacing that's logical for 10. 5x17m is it going to span the 5m width? Then that's 3m between 5 posts along the sides? 1.5mm is just steel but I would think the solar panels would bolt to the support structure? Sounds like you need to draw up a plan.

All 5 are very pretty. I told the wife she can pick for me. However they don't look Thai to me. -
Taxi driver in Jan told us to not wait in taxi ticket cue line just go up to the drop off area and find a taxi there but I vote for the train directions. One other thing is google uses real time traffic info so the travel time can increase by 30-45 mins after your trip started.

Now scientists say even 'ethical' porn is bad
Elkski replied to Social Media's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Yes hard to take BYU seriously when the word here locally is that the students engage in mutual pleasure in many ways including backdoor but just don't make babies before marriage or while in school housing. They have a code of Honor. But Bringthem young had many wives, some married with surviving husbands and married girls as young as 16 if I recall what it says in the CES letter. -

Maybe this shows that there is a loss of faith. Justified if you take into account all the un holy things monks have been caught doing these past years.
