Chuwit has his interview in English in IG. You need to log into IG to see it. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CoERC1tgqe3/?igshid=NjcyZGVjMzk= He seems such a man who gets it. He complains that the Thai people just accept this corruption. He admits he pays so he is part of the problem. He says there is a casino on every block like 7-11. The Thai people just need to accept this as how it is.

I read there is a company renting RV's. I would think you would need Aircon most nights. Maybe RV parks will become a thing.

Thailand needs welfare schemes based on rights not charity, experts say
Elkski replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Don't old people get like 600 baht a month. But a bottle of loa khao is 120 and big bottle of Leo is like 80 baht. How much are cigarettes? It's crazy -
I have some friends in Utah who have a very large house with clay tiles. It is a complicated roof and they had many leaks and the company that installed it wanted 60k USD to fix it. We get ice dams here and that can wreak havoc on any roof system. Heat tape is needed in some areas but that's so expensive to operate. My electrician friend told me he will only install roof heat tape using a temp switch that turns the tape on at like 34f rain shine or snow. He said people don't remember to turn it on and if you turn it on after an ice dam forms it can really cause a leak. I installed some professional heat tape on one place on my roof and a downspout and if I recall it is 600 watts. I have it on a switch. But 600 watts left on for a month can really cost a lot. Tile roofs require quite skilled labor to install to do properly on any complicated roofs.

Swedish Man Dies In Crash Just 5 Days After Meeting Thai Girlfriend
Elkski replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
I'm not sure if I my mind can keep reading these tragic stories. Sounds like he was in top of the World 1 minute and gone the next. RIP -
And maybe only every 3rd row is attached and you get lucky with your broken one. Don't they have some type of drainage material on the roof under the battens? Like a tarpaper. I've been watching some solar panel install videos and they make it look easy to pull up tiles in a grid pattern to install these metal brackets to the battems so you can attach a solar panel rail to them but I don't believe it. What a mess it would be to have a roof leak under your solar panel installation on any type roof. I have tar shingles and they are still in ok shape but 20 years old now of I think a 30 year life so I would want to replace them before I installed solar but that would be an extra 15k USD. Solar companies always tell me no big deal.

I'm not a rule roof expert. But as a mechanical engineer I have carefully examined several types of clay tiles and their install. Can you believe I am interested enough to stop and observe at most construction jobs of all types while in Thailand or on vacation. Many clay tiles have a hole in them near the top. I believe yours will have 2 holes since they are wide and have 2 valleys each. The ones I saw in Thailand had a hole in the valley. If they put a nail or screw into to batten on the tiles above your broken one you may need to remove all the way up to and including the ridge. And depending on which way your ridge tiles are running that can dictate how much ridge needs pulled up. Your tiles look like the type that have many interlocking features so you won't be able to just pull out a tile and replace it. Very beautiful roof and patio you have there. I do see signs of water damage on your patio ceiling. Prepare to replace other tiles that may break when they walk in the roof. I'm pretty sure you have some Spare tiles you have stored all these years. I should add that I am a do it right type of guy. I never cludge anything.

Those plastic shirts are so much cheaper to produce and wearing what look like sports teams seems to be the rage with young kids in Thailand.

So sad that Thailand is so corrupt that even the police think they can behave like this. I have been following this story since leaving Thailand. This story makes my blood boil. This am upon learning that the actresses story is true is to go protest near my capital with hopes to bring awareness to this issue. Also to request that the USA charge Thai tourists 10x to enter our national parks to reveal that policy in Thailand. Perhaps if lots of people around the World protest and bring these issues to more light things could begin to change. Perhaps World attention could cause Thai people to think a little more before they vote. If it wasn't -15c here today I would actually consider doing this with my Thai wife.

I consider myself a AN crime sleuth but in a case like this I can't see how anyone can doubt that the police are so corrupt that it's hard to believe one thing they say when accused like this. I logged onto her line and added her. Within 2 minutes I got a message "想知道真相和事情經過的請回覆我: "好的". Google translate says. "If you want to know the truth and what happened, please reply to me: "Good"" I did and we will see what the reply is. I'm sure so many people don't report instances like this and if one of us did nothing would happen. So there was little risk to the BIB if this activity was occurring often. But as a person with large social media reach that may effect Chinese tourist numbers she had the power to actually get some resolution. During my recent 50 day stay in Thailand I saw people using e cigs everywhere. Bar girls inside and outside. Thai and foreigners on the sidewalks everywhere. E cigs and vapes sold everywhere.

Lays potato chips are all made from very small potatoes. Pringles can are hardt full, smaller dia and height and chips are much smaller than USA.

How can they know the true numbers? Who are they testing? Who reports of they feel sick? Who reports positive results of self tests? How many test kits are people buying? We got COVID right as we arrived in Thailand in early December. We took self tests. We were fully backed and boosted. It wasn't real bad. We lost taste for 5 days coughing for 3 weeks. Felt like Laying low for 2 days. I believe anyone who has a cough has or had COVID recently and you hear lots of tourists coughing. We are back in USA now.

22 children injured in school van accident in Nakhon Ratchasima

Are there 24 seats in that van? Was it overloaded? Lucky not a massive loss of life. -
Your claims and link are not related to what effect fresh water ice shelf does to the ocean levels. Stick to not worrying about if the ice in your beer will raise the level in the glass. Calving ice bergs are fresh water and they are not floating in the ocean until they calve. It may be in the funding interest of this ice station to say ice calving is normal but it has been increasing at an alarming rate. And if a London size was common they would not have made a big deal out of this one. I agree ice ages have come and gone for millions of years. But this much CO has never been found in the atmosphere samples that weee trapped deep in these glaciers. Rather than deny science why don't you go but ocean side property? Put your money where your mouth is.

Panel Suggests Review of Bang Sue Nameplate Redesign Project

I wonder if there is a nice juicy cancellation. That was probably the fall back plan B. Say 2 mil baht. Easier than doing actual design and fabrication, installation. -
Thailand’s dependence on tourism means losing passport wars

Don't forget charge them 10x entry fee for national parks. And if working deport immediately -
Don't forget would you want the smell from Indian food coming into the hallway and into your room?

2000 baht small loss. 20k ouch And after 3 days no reply find a new deal.

Pizza is one food I crave when I visit Thailand for over 3 weeks. I've learned to bring cheese n crackers, I enjoy a bag of lays at about 3 weeks. I buy some cashews and chocolate to munch on. Always disappointed with a beef burger and about half the fries are cold and soggy. There are enough IPA's available now I don't feel despair as long as I find one every 2 lweeks. Shingha seems to be an ok beer to get me by.

Chinese national, tour operator to be questioned in police escort scandal
Elkski replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Not sure working stiffs even get a chance to read or hear about 10% of these wacky police schemes! Don't they use the word schemes when referring to tourist.
