What reasoning is there to try to predict this.  No one in Thailand knows the word  planning.

It is amazing  how poor the  food prep, cleanliness,  and temperature storage is.  And the flies on these drying fish and market meat is disgusting.    Gf seems to get sick once a month.  The runs or reaction from to much msg.  She says can not buy raw  chicken unless first thing in the morning.     Also look at Big C meat and seafood in big bins  and piles  for self service and no refrigeration.   Seafood sometimes iced down some

I think having people that don't require testing before a 14 ,hour flight is enough to keep me away.   Not to mention the 14 day quarantine which I think is prudent.  

Trying to tell GF that it would be cheaper to buy mom rice rather than fertilizer.    Why do they feel they must grow their own rice? 

Thailand facing the global market.  Pain will be felt.  I Read about best tasting rice  is not from Thailand.   Not that any rice has much taste for me.  

Are that's required to have a negative pcr test 72 hours prior to flying?    If not it makes the idea of flying to Thailand more risky.   Is freelancer what I think it is? So Thailand acknowledges that its citizens travel to countries to do illegal activity. Not paying taxes, working without a permit?    Hypocrites

He recommends chopping  quarantine by 30% but where is his recommendation for fixing this political climate.   This civil unrest would pretty much rule out investment in a factory  no matter the ROI.

What happens if you give the vaccine to someone with covid?  How long after the vaccine before it is working amd you can travel.  Surely 1 day and you could still be a transmission vehicle.   

Are that's currently not required to take a test before being repatriated?  Ups the risk of getting covid on the  flight.

I too think they need a new contest with 100% natural women.  All these surgical altered women create issues in many young women.   But im sure the plastic surgeons donate to the cause.   Look at the last contest mut they even promoted a plastic surgeon.    We all have heard a nice looking woman thinking her brrasts are to small or she wants lighter skin or bigger lips.    These big fake things are a deal killer with me.

So you buy 1 million in stock.  It has to be there 5 yesrs before you get a 5 year visa?  What about when stock value drops below 1 million?

Why do they think rich people want a work permit?    Is this special work permit for any occupation one chooses?

Can someone give me guidance on the 72 hour before flight covid test rules.   Some of talk about having a long   single 10 hour flight but us true Westerners it 3 flights and 24-30 hours of travel.   I usually don't need a layover on the west coast  on departure but most times its required on my return home.  But its always a 2 flight international trip from west coast.  A 13-14 hour flight, then 3-6 hours  layover somewhere in Korea, Japan or never again China.    Then 4-6 hour longer flight into BKK.   What if my 72 hours has expired before boarding my last segment? 

Has anyone got true airfare  refund policies of you need to cancel at the last minute?  I would imagine the best you could hope for is 2 year credit.   Then I guess you can try to find a ASQ with a  last minute cancelation figure credit policy. As of i ever stay in one hotel for two weeks

 Are there ASQ'S with full or 90% refund policy..  but all this will tie up a good 100,000 baht for weeks or years.

Stop talking or bitchng about the 500k.  Its been changed to the old visa numbers like 20,000 or 700$us.

So  you must also  show accommodation booking for entire stay.  So you somehow have to plan your entire trip a week before you leave.   You can tell those in charge dont make their own travel arrangements.  Or book a dirt bag hostel so you can not  check-in amd and can go stay where your feet take you.   I guess no airbnb allowed?   What if you plan to stay  with a couple  different friends?  

Only  people with a SO will consider traveling now.   I support the 14 day quarantine.   But I would need 2 beers after 5pm each day even if crappy thai  swill. 

Seriously I have never been to jail or stayed in one hotel room for  more than a day.  Im not a Netflix or room service guy.  I'm not sure I could survive.  

I still don't know how the 72 hour test results  can work.  My test results last  week took 4 days to get.  Plus is it prior to my first flight of 3 required?  What if I have a layover on the west coast?  

What is  a fit to fly?    Needed from my doctor?  No time  limit before travel?  

I thought someone could tell me minimal cost for  ASQ? Any reports on how the lower price places are for food and noise, comfort, etc.

Of course 700 USD is nothing compared to flight$ and ASQ$ plus  fit to  fly.    Why some so stupid.  Its always been 20,000 even for show up and get TV but they never checked most people.    

Anyone have a total for all  costs from USA.   Long absence is straining our relationship to its limit. 

The LA consulate are now only requiring to show 20,000 baht in bank  and not for 6 months now for STV.

But I still don't see how I get test results 72 hours before  a flight?  I had a test 9 days ago on a Tuesday.  Results not until Friday.   A buddy  took test on wed and got results  on Monday.    Is it  required 72  hours before a person begins travel even if a domestic US flight?

Maybe at first they did want to ket dirty foriegn people back.  But then the hiso influence as well as low public opinion on any chance of a 2nd wave squashed that.  Since hts just been "look busy troops!"

High proce of <deleted> beer, and avocados,  and on and on.  You guys are  being selfish thinking of your rich tourist business owners or poor bar girls. What about the 70%-80% who are living a 90% normal  life now.  A breakout of covid would ensure an overthrow of the government.   Right now hoso never had it so good.  Desolate resorts. Uncrowded roads and airplanes, high baht to $.

I am not a long term Thailand expert.  But in my 11 visits from USA  thd last 4 years  I have enjoyed comparing prices of everything.   My mind is constantly covering baht to USD.  My opinion is there has been huge profit taking for many years.   We read many stories of the 2 week millionaires  types.  I believe it is these sorts who have spoiled Thailand.   They never complained about cab fares or no meter use or cabs declining a pickup,, so you see what that mess had become.    I have partied with the types who  pay an ugly gal to sit with us and drink our drinks and eat our food.  He acted like I was stingy. But I said I dont pay for things like this.   Of course his story is of the guy who blew it all and now old and in debt  amd last I knew  he still rather take a taxi from the airport rather than the link. 

How can a hotel in BKK who pays workers 15,000 baht a year with massive overtime  justify prices like large US cities? 

Scuba dive trips the same price as the Caribbean for such destroyed, fishless, reefs with vis that would make you take a day off to go deep sea fishing in the Caribbean.   Oh yeah there is no deep sea fishing Industry because the oceans are so depleted.  Look at the trash everywhere.   Its such a tourist attraction to learn the trash is just placed on the sidewalk in BKK.  Or a trip up country reveals burning fields of sugarcane or corn up high in Chiang Rai its so fun to see the hillside forests stripped to grow corn on a 35 degree  hillside.  

I think Thailand is a better place for domestic tourists and from my contacts and IG stars i watch many are enjoying Thailand more now than ever.   

Rapid covid tests and no quarantine idea is asinine Mike.   

Very few tourists without a loved one is going to risk traveling to Thailand now even with no insurance,  bank account requirements (6months <deleted>), or quarantine.   

I think you expats  lucky to be in Thailand shoukd just enjoy it now.  Who in their right mind would want it back to what I have seen?

Reefs with 8 cattleboats full of non swimming snorkelers,  some standing on coral for selfish. Beaches below limestone monuments from Krabi to Koh Phi phi crowded beyond sensibility, oozing greed $$$.   

I say enjoy the popularity on tinder.  

Mass tourism is not coming back  in the 20's. 

What will happen?   China South?  Many  Chinese would probably like living in small studios. 

I just know in April  2016 I exchanged  at 35.6 and now its 30.2.  That's  a big difference in lifestyle if a person retired  in Thailand.  

I can't believe all the people who that think its normal and ok for this couple to come every  night.  If this is supposed to be normal family activity  in Thailand  then Why not  tell the wife to get the ingredients mobile and take your tank of gas to  cook breakfast at 6 am at their house. Play loud music too.   Do this for a week should do it.   Ask if they need you to buy them a tank of propane every month.  But tell  them from now on you will pick 1 day a week and they must bring enough food.   You  provide and cook one week they cook next week.

haha,, you made my point.  Breeding a  bull with 15,000$ semen is important.  But a 5kg 1 cu ft  dry oce shipping box is much different than these  drugs. they  are being packed by the pallet.. In fact each drug company has specs on pallet size and weight, how many doses per truck or shipping container. etc.
