You guys complaining about Twitter are probably not even logged on Twitter? Jack the CEO of Twitter has had several metring with the tRump. It is believed Twitter was backing tRump at first. You should read trumps tweets to know how crazy he has been since day one. The most ugliest person I have ever known. To have Twitter and there other social media sites finally saying enough is enough is the only moral stand any company can make. The amount of ignorant people in America has been revealed. Its sad.

6 hours ago, Sydebolle said:No, Sir, I agree; these 400 tourists worked the whole year their whatever-off to fly into Thailand to enjoy the biggest uprisings ever in this country. Don't forget the STVs, the masks, the quarantine, the usual rip-offs inherited from the past and the terminology of alternatively alien or dirty farang should be kept as well.
And on the way back to their home countries, why not give 'em a guided tour through the catering of Thai Airways where the core business these days seems to be "the making of a doughnut".
I can see that the endless endeavours of the TAT finally shows results; my goodness!Don't forget they can tour the prisons. Inside if you leave bad reviews.

Of course the easiest way to win the challenge would’ve been to simply copy and paste the entire column, thus including all hidden “Trinkisms” automatically. But though I live in Thailand, I’m not a cheater.

I too am surprised but also proud with what recent days sprung forth, some people not sugar and won't melt in the rain. My GF dissappoints because she thinks she isn't blinded at all with her cherrised monocle and so brainwashed she wouldn't even send back her well made but broken cookoo clock.

Those dive sites are remote. I would be devastated if my trip to dive there some day got canceled. Its the only good diving in Thailand I've heard.

Sad so mamy news stories are closed for comments on TV. Sad day for a supposed democracy. Isn't there a song about the frogmen?

Don't go all white of course there are 50 colors called white xyz or ABC white. If wall were semi gloss before they for sure need good cleaning with trisodium phosphate and water. Cleans and dulls the finish. And primer.
In USA there are 5 paint Sheens.
I copy from home depot website
Here is a look at the types of paint finishes available, in order of lowest to highest sheen, and how best to use them in your home:
Matte or Flat Paint
- Provides a non-reflective, smooth appearance that hides surface blemishes like nail holes and patches.
- Matte paint requires less coats than higher gloss paints and is easier to touch up.
- Perfect for new construction, drywall, ceilings and low-traffic areas like adult bedrooms and dining rooms.
- Cleans easily with a damp sponge but will be damaged if cleaned with cleanser.
Eggshell Paint
- One of the most popular types of wall paint, eggshell finish provides a low sheen and a soft, smooth finish just like a true eggshell.
- Perfect for low- to mid-traffic areas like hallways, living rooms, entryways and family rooms.
- Eggshell paint is more washable than flat sheens, and it resists stains and scuffs.
Satin Paint
- Widely considered the most versatile and best paint for walls inside the home, a satin paint finish provides an elegant, almost pearl-like finish and soft sheen.
- Ideal for indoor and outdoor use, it resists mildew and fading and is easier to clean that lower-gloss finishes.
- Works well in busy indoor areas such as playrooms, home offices and children’s bedrooms, as well as areas that are exposed to moisture like kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and on outdoor spots like trim, shutters and siding.
- Even more reflective than satin with a smooth sheen, semi-gloss paint gives rooms a shiny, sleek appearance.
- Because it offers high resistance to moisture, it works well in areas with higher humidity, such as bathrooms, kitchens and laundry rooms, as well as high-traffic spaces like doors and utility rooms.
- While easier to clean than other finishes, semi-gloss will show most blemishes on walls and ceilings.
- White and off-white paints in semi-gloss give rooms a brighter appearance than whites in other finishes.
- Offers the highest level of reflection.
- Gives a high-shine, glass-like finish that is popular for doors, cabinets, moulding and trim.
- Provides curb appeal for outdoor spots like shutters and window casings.
- Semi- and high-gloss sheens require more coats than less glossy finishes. Apply to smooth and clean surfaces for the fewest layers of paint and best results.
I do see more shiny sheens used in Thailand than here. In my house and rentals I use eggshell on ceilings and satin on walls, semi gloss on doors and trim. I buy good paint because it's easier to use.

So of a couple of covid case people are on the 6 hour flight and then they wait where for the 2 hour test results that are 95% accurate? Then bused to where? I hope there is a 2 week quarantine.
You wonder if these are some special group that were isolated from a low risk building or town in China? Because surely China big boys who owns many investments in Thailand have an interest in seeing the tourist flow starting. Maybe these are business buying scouts. I hope it works out but no way is this a good idea when you look at WWide case number trends going up.
-
Mai pen ra. Maybe Thailand will value each tourist when things open? Nah won't happen. They will want to charge for lost revenue. It would be interesting to document the asking price of some of those businesses over the next 6 months.
If one thought buildings in Thailand were in disrepair last year just wait 3 years. Many buildings won't be salvageable.

You will need 1-2 mil USD for mom i assume she is under 60. And you will needc 4 million USD for your next 45 years. Plus for your Children.
If the family is so nice and have money why aren't they giving you a place to live or land? So you pay big bucks at a discount of course to transfer land from uncle to your gf. Sounds profitable for the family. You can read the news you can read that fleecing foreigners is something that supported from the top all the way down to the little village. I have seen several houses and been told by thai that these houses built by foreigners they built big mansions for their Thai wife's and when he is away she has many men visit her and the whole village knows but they do not tell the man when he returns. Just read the current schemes to "Lure" forieners back again. Read that they don't want us for out smart ideas. It is written many places that thry will never listen to a foreigners advice. Consider moving to someplace other than Thailand. Consider the education of yiur children

Needs to be a new condo? Sold by certain developers with connections? Or can it be bought from another falang? Greed pure and simple. But who would buy now when condo prices are surely dropping like a hot knife in butter?
Monkey man: cone but a condo and get a visa.
Ralph: but look at all the condo owners with Visas who are not allowed back in. Can i buy their condo and get a visa?

Regular flu mutates. Corona may or may not.
IMO governments may eventually have to face reality and stop lockdowns and start treating it like the flu.
Don't say stupid untrue things. Its against the rules. Lots of documentation of mutations . It's not even new news its been known for 9 months so its criminal you say such a statement.

Not unexpected for me. I'm Not freaking out. I'm sure there are more cases like this. Just as so many TV virologists proclaim their are probably are many people who don't know they had the virus the first time or 2 nd.
I think the main thing is it just means there won't ever be some willy wonka golden vaccine travel card that means much. Global travel peak is past. Get used to low tourist numbers Thailand! The sooner the better.
-
I think along with the 2 vaccine companies halting testing in the last few days now a well documented case of a Nevada man getting the virus twice.
Basic points. April first time, June 2nd.
Second infection much worse.
2 negative tests between
Strains so much different scientists say could not have mutated inside him. His DNA confirms both test samples from same guy. Just like I guessed a single vaccine won't be the golden bullet . This is the new normal.

So are you willing to pay for a lifetime of expensive Valtrex for each partner? There is viral shedding so it spreads with no symptoms. HSV 1&2 used to have preferred locations but have now become widespread in both oral and genital locations. It has stigma because it is not curable and can be very painful for some.
It's your responsibility to tell everyone. The country shouldn't matter. Its people that don't tell that have helped create this problem. Doctors don't care much because they have dying patients and patients with more serious health issues everyday. Testing in Thailand doesn't mean anything. Unlike the 180$ 10 panel results in 24 hour testing you can sign up for inline in the US and go to any neighborhood lab, In Thailand it is mostly impossible to get a differential test that can tell if its 1 or 2. And all std test results take days and limited places to get tested.. Call around.
Very high % of adults have HSV1 cold sores. Most got it by 5 from grandma kissing. So doctors don't suggest testing for HSV's because test will be positive and not tell you if 1 or 2 anyway. Many US doctors don't even know about the rather new differential test.
Just checked generic Valtrex looks to be 17$ for 30 tablets so over 6000 baht a year.

...
The "Flex One" scheme will offer 5 to 20-year visas to foreigners who buy properties worth at least Bt10 million. The cards, worth Bt500,000 to Bt2 million, will be purchased by property developers and then passed on to foreign clients.
so 500k baht for a developer to buy a 5 yr visa that the developer can use to lure investors to buy condos worth 10 million baht. And after 5 years they kick you out? What visa do you use then? Which visa scheme will be in play in 5 years. How much markup will developers be trying to get. Man the developers must have investor partners in the parliament or high up. Or on their knees.

Didn't these people's mothers tell them things in 2020 that you say stay on social media forever! What desperate idiots. Why don't we hear about plans to educate the masses and teach better English and pick up the trash and teach people about littering and safe driving? Why don't we have Anutin and some of these other foriegn bashers fired from their jobs? A campaign of bringing back the real thai smile. We all know its just a fake smile the only interest is in our pants. The wallet pocket.

So current elite visa holders being treated like lepers and visa rules changing with the tides and they think they c a n invent new visa types. Just shows they know there is a imminent crash in condos and that some people in this think tank have interest in condos. They are showing desperation and how overvalued they view the universe center being Thailand.
They wanted native English speakers. They should have a free visa for any western native English speaker who will cone live there and teach 1 week a month or something.

Me and my pension come as a pair.
If I'm dead, you won't get a share.
Very true in Thailand where a life can be bought for 5,000-40,000 baht. How many go free. But if married the state will continue to pay your young bride and payout more.

I wished I ever read about attempts to contact trace other than at companies and schools. No way to know if you have been near someone while shopping. .
I wish more people used the tracking apps. I have installed the c-19 app.

It would be so nice to be rich and connected in Thailand. To be able ti go to Similans the first week they open on some PR gig every year. I see at least one IG gal I follow is there. I've been told its the onky diving in Thailand that is worth much for us spoiled Caribbean divers.
Perhaps with boats that sink they should limit the cattle boats to 20 plus no more than a certain number of boats at a time on the reef and some sort of super high fine for any capt who lets one of his passengers stand on a reef like I saw so much in Phuket area. These Chinese can swim much like Thai people and they need pictures so they stood up on the reef.
-
I'm quite sure some of you will wish the gates were not opened if you have record numbers like my area in Utah does now.
Not sure how many of you depend on going to the hospital on a regular basis but you sure won't want to risk that when the hospitals are having at over capacity levels of sick people with covid. I say let the current visa holders in first and those with children and wives,, with 14 day quarantine . Not at home quarantine because getting there by a super spreader could be devastating. Just plan to wait 6 Months to see how the World is doing and if a vaccine arrives and works. Best to keep this engine running on 3 cylinders than risk a breakdown. I feel Thailand's mass tourism was bad for the country. Sorry but tourist workers need to do something else. Maybe start by cleaning up everywhere.

"The Stranded": Highlighting the plight of expats unable to return to Thailand; #3 Charity workers and volunteers
in Thailand News
Posted
I'm glad I had my eyes open and during my 11 visits to Thailand in the last 4 years I was smart enough to see this writing on the wall and decided no way will Thailand be my retirement destination. In fact just like those who ridicule the expats who left Thailand and are now stranded i can say the same about all expats.
