It's fun to read about this and I had to laugh at John's anger Auntie wanted to pump a little more.  Reminds me of my girlfriend's mom who let the village cows eat all the stubble off of her 12 rai without  payment.  Mom has cows too.   Of course mom needs daughters support but I say if mom didnt give away cow grazing and also most of her rice to all the kin she would not need  daughter to give.

I am guilty to be an American from the mountain west.  I've heard this is considered the region of most neutral sounding  English.  I have to admit it sounds the best to me.  I can tell New Yorkers, Texans,and deep south accents.  I would not want my children to sound like this.  I'm not going to convince you Brits your English sucks, but unless you sound like Nicole Kidman.  ????

I have not met many thai people who can speak English, much less write decently.  I even know an teacher with an English  degree.  I get very turned off by an East Indian accent  even if the  thai woman is cute. So I sure hope they  dont hire Indians.   I have seen many YouTube  videos of expats with Philippine women and I am impressed.  Some Philippine bloggers have great sounding  English.  

I try to talk to thai children but they  are so afraid of their skills  they rarely want to even count or say ABC's with me. 

I see no hope for thailand in improving English unless your time frame is 50 years. And I and everyone I know  say madder and matter clearly with  different sounds.  

Flowers do seem to be a  rare gift.  It does really impress thai women.  Everyone  at work is jealous. 

The boat victims are going to want a billion and rightfully so.  

The government better  wise up and realize tourism numbers  are not bouncing back in 2020.   Not until  the virus is contained.  This means no  new cases. 

Better train some of those who lost jobs in trash pickup  and disposal, or crop fire watchers.

Japan says only tested 450 or so of cruise line.   They worry of testing all 3500 more would use up most of their test kits and jeopardize the ability to handle a outbreak.  How can japan only be prepared to test so few people.    What is Thailand's ability. What does "100% under control" mean

So many of you are not keeping up with the latest news, that's not always reported in major media. You need to try Twitter. Or the WHO website. Read the latest the initially China  loving WHO leader Tedros has now said about the real dangers of this virus to the World. Go Read about the docked  quarantined vessel in Jspan. Read carefully. 

    Since new cases have occurred on the Japan docked vessel the quarantine time resets for those  passengers and any nearby or the crew that have been serving  them.  Not sure how they have segmented the passengers and crew but they are going up for fresh air in groups. In Japan  the confirmed sick are removed to be treated in the hospital. 135 now which is no small burden.  Many of you think a simple  test  or evaluation  is all ready that's needed but this is not the case.  There are test kits that require special labs.  And trained technicians who are severely overworked all over the world. I asked why does Thailand have So many hundreds of suspected cases and not tested cases?  So far, I have not read anything about Thailand capability or time in testing or how many are being tested each day, or even the lab locations. 

 This resetting of wait periods of the new 24 days could go on for months.   As many have posted on this thread  the new contagious time is reported to be 24 days.  This  is a much longer incubation period to many other viruses of the past.  I can only imagine the drop in future cruise ship  guests as long as this disease is ongoing and the full dangers not understood.  Let's see how long it takes the 70 million   quarantined in China test group to get things under control.  

I have read were many people's posts about this China virus on Twitter have been blocked and not posted. Two people in this thread have said their posts on Thai Visa have been blocked. Or deleted if they contained certain references about China. Very crazy time for sure.    

And china has 700 million  in lockdown. Why?

Rent and let the housing market go down more.   Not many people can afford a 5 million  baht  house.

I wonder of I had a mild  case jan 2-7?  I flew through Shanghai dec 25.  It was like bad flu. Fever, aches, fatigue,  sore throat, cough, phlegm.    We will  never know about cases like mine.  I feel fine now.   Been home 19 days now.  Gf didnt get it from  me. But she is maybe real healthy?  Will we ever really know all the details?  But one thing for sure is ignorant, greedy, uneducated,  politicians are revealing themselves.  

As a person who flew through Shanghai dec 25 and Jan 21 on my return to USA  I c as n tell you the worry and dread you will  feel when you wait the 14 days after you return home is real and no fun.  My buddy whi picked me up at the airport was concerned.   As another poster said he wouldn't visit his grandkids for 14 days.  What will coworkers think of by then Thailand admits to 100 or 500 cases?  Thailand's current numbers report is very "suspect".  Suspected cases are over 500.  Buts it's been days.   But tests only take hours so Wztzf?  Do you really want to travel someplace whose air quality is over 150 and you need to wear masks? And there is the risk virus anytime you take a taxi.

At immigration they should ask how many days guests are staying and give each person two or three masks per day.

I was amazed by this structure in Jan.  It looks haunted.  I thought it looked modern  but I did see so much rusted rear metal and I wondered how such a thing like this can  be left standing.

What was the reason construction stopped?  Just imagine the cost, noises, time, and money to remove this  monstrosity.  

Can anyone take the time  to read all the fine print?  Last week for fun I yours to get  a price on travel insurance through geoblue.  The website would not give me  a quote online  like normal but said to call or send in s request for  quote.  In Dec I just logged in and bought a 3 week policy for my  Jan trip.  

But all virus medical care for thai is taken care of by the government.  I think this was an announcement to stave off utter revolt.

I am thinking out my but again.   But I am thinking some people are able to fight off this virus and show negative test results. Of course, I wished they would specify what test results they talk about. There are actual DNA test and then there are indicator tests and accuracies  the are different.

It is almost to early to say what is fake news until this virus is understood.   Fake news is also a direct result of valid distrust from government.   Look at China and sars, china suppressed this virus 30 days from first case Dec 1.  Many arrested Jan 1 including 2 doctor.   Look at trump lies over 12,000 proven lies in 3 years.  I think th his virus is going to lead to upheaval of the masses.  

Story sounds so similar to the man who has big money but it's on hold  and he needs a loan so he can get big money freed up and pay you back. 

If its 2% of your net worth maybe buy this lottery ticket.   But I think you need to learn about  sister.   Sister is not going to be happy to lose her future inheritance.   We have enough hatred when in Thailand.  Dont create a vengeful woman who will blame you for all her poor choices.   Dont be wirth more dead than alive.  Is sister  cute?

Also much land has little  real value in Thailand because  who will want to live in her family circle with  resentment or worse?  It may not even be ok to farm.  The family may boycott  working this land.   It is nice your lady friend thinks smart about financial  matters.  Tell her you like her but dont get involved.

Dam I flew in December 26 from Shanghai.  I now know why they had temperature sensors up  and pandemonium  in the airport.  Would  my travel insurance have covered this? Geoblue

Will or have  travel insurance companies now added exclusions to countries?   

Maybe my sickness Jan 2-7 I posted about was a weak case?
