Crime Disabled British Tourist Robbed by Trio in Pattaya Hotel Room
BangkokReady replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
Thailand is full of friendly and honest people. It's also full of women who are willing to have sex with unattractive old men in exchange for money. Is it so wild to think that the two might exist together and offer to go back to his hotel with him for a bit of fun? The level of repeat custom suggest that there exists a lot of women who offer a great level of customer service. -
Crime Disabled British Tourist Robbed by Trio in Pattaya Hotel Room
BangkokReady replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
Stupid and insensitive comment. You think they said, "Hey, baby. How about we head back to your hotel room and then rob you of all your cash while you sit helpless and defenceless in a wheelchair? Does that sound like fun to you?" -
Tourism Thailand Delays Tourist Entry Fee Amid Travel Concerns
BangkokReady replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The problem is, Thailand cannot shake the mindset of being the world's most popular tourist destination with tourists queueing up to visit. -
Report Sex Scandal Shakes Thai Buddhism: Monks Defrocked Amid Allegations
BangkokReady replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Rape and murder are completely natural. That doesn't mean that they are positive or desirable things. Something simply being "natural" does not mean someone cannot try to prevent its occurrence. -
There's only one small issue with the above, and that's the fact that Trump is generally at his best when he goes "off script". That's what got him elected, and it's that fact that the Dems could never go off script without looking like idiots that lost them the election. (Although, to be fair, the Dems were awful on script too, another reason why they lost.)

Report Fed-Up Nottingham Dad Moves Family to Thailand for New Life
BangkokReady replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I can't believe that this guy is selling his house and car, then taking a two year holiday with his family in Thailand. He must have some kind of plan that he isn't sharing, possibly as some kind of social media thing. No way is he going to burn through all his money and then head home with nothing. -
Majority of Thais Doubt New Cabinet’s Ability to Cut Trump’s Tariffs
BangkokReady replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So, you're mad at Trump, who you say always chickens out, for not chickening out? And you're further claiming he's being rejected, on a post where he isn't being rejected? Certainly an interesting approach... -
It's quite incredible, when you think about it. People literally starting arriving in boats and entering the country illegally, then either disappearing or being put up in a hotel on the tax payer's dime. But, just because they are non-White and claim to be poor, they're allowed to just get on with it. People were even supporting them, encouraging them and pretending that they must be in danger, calling them refugees and saying that they are welcome.

Three hundred Expat Stereotypes
BangkokReady replied to SEAsia Traveler's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Oh how I admire your virtues! Bigots: Anyone who holds a different opinion to him about race or gender Nazis: Anyone who holds a different opinion to him about Trump Crazies: Anyone who disagrees with him about anything else who he can't shoehorn into the above two categories -
Yeah, I don't think profound is the right word for the above. Emotional, perhaps. They're just words in a song, after all. They have little real meaning. We know that the singers don't really "mean" what they are saying. They aren't profound like some sort of philosophical argument or critical thinking question that challenges the way you think. Perhaps SpiderMike is feeling a little wistful...

Things that surprise you in Thailand
BangkokReady replied to Harrisfan's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Nope. Lots of research to support the notion that people are different online to offline. Not to mention the blindingly obvious common sense angle. -

Community American Tourist Assaulted by Bar Owner for Filming Venue
BangkokReady replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
To be fair, the no ill intent was just about the video. Once the bar owner got involved clearly some ill intent occurred. -

Probably have a violent family life. Or some other issue giving them a short fuse. It's crazy really. There are people who would rather get a beating than back down. That's really bonkers. -

BangkokReady replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
That's kind of weird. "How safe is Thailand?" "They're really welcoming." -
He could have done a few more takes, and someone could have pointed out how weird his walk is, but it's no way at the level you are claiming. This is just people being dumb and trying to claim that it's something that it isn't, simply because they hate Trump.

Do western men know their worth?
BangkokReady replied to angryguy's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I think you might be looking at it too much from a "rich White guy in Thailand" perspective. Sure, if he was setting up home in Thailand, you would expect him to find a stunningly attractive 20 year old Thai girl from a good family, ready to cook and clean and start a family. Sure, she is a little old. But I think you need to remember that she could be a decent person, he might not mind her age, and she might be opening doors to a world he wants to be part of. At least he knows she is not after him just for his money (although she obviously wouldn't be with him if he was broke) and their combined wealth might be really attractive to him in terms of lifestyle and child rearing. -

It would be amazing if people started to tell the truth about Trump. But then what would they say?

Health New COVID-19 Sub-Variant XFG Emerges in Thailand
BangkokReady replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Of this variant??? Obviously not. To make a big deal of it, while it is steadily becoming milder and milder is ridiculous and beyond logic. Any medical professional that is thinking, "Although this virus has been steadily getting milder and milder, for years, shows every sign of continuing to do so, with current symptoms being cold or flu-like, we still need to think of it as the same virus that reportedly killed 15m people, and treat it as such", should not be a medical professional. By the very nature of medicine, if it starts getting worse again, it will become immediately obvious, and we cannot live as though that is likely. We have to carry on as normal. The only sensible response is to monitor in the same way any virus or disease is monitored, but continue living our lives as normal. Anyone who wants constant testing, masks, social distancing, etc., is either insane or a grifter, likely both.
