  1. Could equally be that people are taking it more seriously and victims are less afraid to report it.
  2. What kind of additional laws could have prevented this?
  3. What an odd comment. Who said foreigners are specifically scared of being caught up in a fight between Thais and other people? Surely it's more of a concern about us becoming the target. When the media reports a Thai going mental and killing someone for a trivial reason, that potentially crates a fear that you might find yourself in the position where a Thai attacks you for a trivial reason.
  4. I'm going to take a gamble and say that it this was probably a combination of speed, lack of concentration and no seatbelts.
  5. I wonder if the same would happen in Thailand if the reverse had happened... 🤔
  6. You're responsible for what the thing that you wrote means. I wasn't giving my interpretation. I was trying to be light-hearted about your error. 🤷‍♂️
  7. You've conflated two phrases there to make something quite horrible. 🤢
  8. Why not blame the Thais who are being racist, given the actual very low number of issues there are with foreigners in Thailand? There's literally zero logical reason to think that a random foreigner in your store is there to steal, simply because they are foreign. And yes, if someone believes that seeing an occasional "drunken foreigner does something stupid" article means it's ok to assume that all foreigners are thieves, they're probably a racist too.
  9. Exactly. It sounds like the OP wants to do the latter.
  10. I think the issue here is that it would be hard to make a quality video (especially in 360 as the OP says) without it being obvious.
  11. Then they'll ask them to come to jail, but they'll say they're too busy. The authorities will then shrug their shoulders and say that they did all they could.
  12. It's quite amazing how adverse Thai people are to raising prices. I guess the way the government has always subsidised most things for the people, price increases make it seem like you are attacking the customer. I've seen traders reduce portion sizes dramatically in order to not have to increase prices, even though that is effectively a price increase.
  13. "Don't tell your brother not to beat his wife! Who do you think you are? Mind your own business!" Gee I wonder why Top turned out as he did...
  14. More likely they're applying a cap to what casinos can charge locals, while foreigners will have no cap.
  15. Everything has a military theme due to it being an establishment where people strictly adhere to their roles and show absolute respect and obedience to those above them.
  16. I imagine the guy's a bit of a fruit cake.
  17. The brother is the one who set the poor woman on fire. And he did so simply because the husband asked her to get back with him, to which she said no.
  18. If I had a Baht for every time I heard this sentence... 💵💵💵
  19. "Oi mate! Av' ya' got any bloody som tam???"
  20. To be fair, unless the article says so, you can't know that she didn't. You only know that the article didn't say she did.
  21. Not their fault. The post is incorrectly titled.
  22. So the girl would help her boyfriend find and kill the other guy, but she wouldn't just black and ignore him???
