  1. Stringed instruments must have every other string removed for proper distancing.
  2. Many years ago our family went to see the Emerald Buddha temple or one of those down by the river in BKK. They wanted to charge me more but my half-Thai kids could go free. I stayed out in the courtyard and bought a cold beer from a vendor on the temple grounds and enjoyed it.
  3. Automatic irrigation systems have been around for decades. A farmer still has to make the rounds and check for insects and diseases. Checking the moisture at the same time is no big deal.
  4. I constantly get reminders of one sort or another about my son who was killed in Iraq 16 years ago, my brother who died from ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) two years ago and my Mom who died 3 months ago. It's part of life.
  5. I have a lifetime license for a "Jakayan Yon" dating back to 1977 or so. Does that mean I have to have pedals on my motor scooter? Or an R1?
  6. Googling those names brings up some interesting stuff. I don't think they were model Boy Scouts. http://www.thailawforum.com/blog/thailand-upholds-death-sentence-for-two-foreigners-convicted-of-smuggling-meth
  7. The Archeology Division of the Fine Arts Department will no doubt dig up some evidence.
  8. Their menu seems sparse compared to Taco Bell in the U.S. . And priced higher from what I've seen. I only eat the TB vegetarian stuff, which is OK and reasonably priced. I've eaten more bean burritos than I care to remember. One burrito and about 15 packets of their hot sauce (which isn't hot.)
  9. So they have sidelined even discussing the issue rather than facing it and discussing facts and number of cases and thresholds that might determine which way to go. It's called wait and see. I wonder if they discussed the lunch menu for the next meeting.
  10. I was responding to another poster about bald tires. The "fool" part referred to the rider who couldn't avoid plowing into the back of a truck for some reason. Didn't intend to mean the questioner was a fool. My bad.
  11. Track tires can be "bald" or nearly so, even when new. His still had enough grooving to indicate wear. Fool.
  12. Whoa! Nothing much left of that bike, or him I suppose. Running near racing slicks. "Look at me, look at me! SPLAT."
  13. I was wondering about some of the dried squid I got recently.
  14. Those who profit will have more money to tour Europe and other exotic destinations.
  15. I get so tired of the headlines "will buy", "will order", plan this, plan that, millions of doses here and there. What do they need, 300 million doses? 4 per person?
  16. Seems to me that Piphat Ratchakitprakan and his cronies are smoking all the buds when they come up with ideas like this.
  17. I don't drink tea, nor eat breakfast or lunch. But I'm a young buck, only 68 years old. I do get up in the middle of the night and eat Cheerios cereal and drink milk. Whatever.
  18. "...Taken into evidence was an Isuzu pick-up and 4,622,000 pils. ..." That must be the largest Isuzu pickup ever.
  19. A place in New Orleans, Louisiana (USA) was offering a bowl of some locally renowned noodle soup, a jab and a free shot of booze at the bar across the street. Other places put your name in a lottery with $$$ prizes.
  20. Probably not worse than huffing Freon, which is a real trip. Or was 45 years ago...
