Depending on the context, crumpet according to the urban dictionary means hot chick, though I always took it to mean having sex, ie "having a bit of crumpet".
As a Brit , to me , it always means “ hot chick “, as in “ went down the club last night, full of crumpet “.
Although I might add it’s an older metaphor and rarely used today !-

Brazil suffered hyperinflation in the mid eighties right thru till 1994 , various currency changes caused absolute chaos for the population.
When, in 1994, they finally changed to their current currency ( real ) there was a brief period with the old currency ( cruzeiro ) and the real in circulation concurrently.
There was a huge difference in the currency value.
At one point $US 1 was equal to 1 real and 76,000 cruzeiros.
To have 2 currencies in your wallet caused mayhem, even despite the huge difference in zeros !! , the largest notes were 50 real and 500,000 cruzeiros.
Luckily the local population were honest people as a local bartender proved when he returned with a 50 real ( $US 50 ) tip I had mistakenly thrown in for a few beers with colleagues !! -
I'm curious, since several people report being told this by Jomtien - does/did Jomtien accept 90- day reports online and.or by mail?
Anyhow my take-away from all this is, whenever going to Imm to make a 90 day report or file a TM30, have updated passbook and photocopies of same with you. But don't offer it unless asked. (If using the 800K method).
Probably wise for people everywhere to do this until matters become clearer. I will.
Yes, as my immigration ( Ayutthaya ) doesn’t do online 90 days reporting I already made a mental note to update my bank book and take it with me just in case.
How online and postal reporting deals with it is just another hoop to add to the list. -
Honda did it to me at my previous dealership for revision but don’t at the one I’m using now .
I did wonder why they did it at the time as with the bonnet/hood up what you gonna see ? -

happened to TVF since then?
People got old !!
I’m thinking about starting a thread about “ where to find comfortable shoes” [emoji51]-

I might have to actually find vegemite online and give it a try.
Something tells me however, this is one of those things that you need to have grown up with.
Not something you discover in your latter years!
If you can’t find any just smear hot engine oil on your tongue !!
It’s the same [emoji51]-

Yes indeed-a night out in the Plaza Publico watching the couples dance the tango was a little slice of heavan..
As was listening to the "beating the retreat" at the Puerto del Sol in Madrid...same culture I guess..
For great liveable cities..Lisbon,Barcelona,Montevideo,Buenas Aires and (special passion)Santiago-Talca-Valparaiso (Chile)
I spent a bit of time working in Santiago, Chile .
Found it to be a special place !! Friendly people.
Modern city with great nightlife and the unusual but pleasing anti earthquake architecture.
An hour east for skiing in El Colorado et al .
An hour west to Viña del Mar or Valparaiso !!
Not great beaches ( volcanic) but beautiful cities and countryside.
I did find the winters too cold for my liking !!
Just remembered a little story from my time there ( mid 90’s ):
A couple of Puerto Rican colleagues were out on the town and well oiled!!
Hailed a cab and asked the driver to take them to a good bar for 1 last drink .
He drove around for 10/15 minutes then stopped outside one place that looked to be buzzing .
They paid, went inside and to their amazement found he had dropped them at the back door of the same bar !!-
