8 hours ago, owl sees all said:
When I lived in Nigeria, there was often the need to 'eat out'. I once found a dog-end in a bowl of soup. I complained and they took the soup away and brought back a fresh one.
In Dagenham there was a fish and chip shop near Becontree station that had been caught hording maggots in their chicken. My sister got a chicken supper one evening only to find live maggots in the meat. She complained to the police that night. Kept the maggots for me to use when I went fishing.
I stayed in Nigeria for 30 days a few years ago but we were fortunate that we had a “ cook “ .
For breakfast he would toast a whole loaf , put the leftovers in the fridge o/night and re-toast them again the next morning. After a few days you could break your teeth on them !!

I understand better now ;
sometimes I also have condensation on my windshield because of the air conditioning in the pickup, but never on the front lens of my Lumix G85 in its dedicated bag.
Your last picture is irratrapable.
Maybe by simply wiping the lens of your phone with a cloth for glasses?
Yes I hadn’t realised it happened until I went to take the previous photo.
Anyhoo, back on topic:
Just arrived at Tha Muang Kanchanaburi , looks like a marvellous place !!-

Hello Andrew,
It looks like the front lens of your lens is dirty or smeared with some kind of grease;
With FastStone, a free software and very easy to use, I tried to reduce a little the suspicious brightness of your photo; but cannot di better than what you can see on the photo below
Tell me what you think about it. And do not hesitate to ask me to delete it if you want.

I suspect it may be that I put my phone in a holder ( it’s an XS max so quite large for my pocket sitting down ) and it does get some cold air from the air conn.
I haven’t really noticed it that much until recently when I stopped the car and took a photo quickly, the result can be seen here
( after a minute or two the condensation had disappeared )
I should reposition my place for my phone in the car but am limited. -

Another great read as usual Roost !!
Your piece on Colin was an excellent insight to the great man himself, always good to get the truth out in the open !!
As for “ brevity “, for me your weekly sermon is not long enough and as the gf always says “ the longer the better !! “ ( in yer end oh intended ).

Well, I’ve watched the video a couple of times more and think that it is perfectly feasible that she is using a selfie stick, she holds it initially in her left hand and changes to the right to adjust her hair, you can see her clearly reaching forward to stop the video when the theft is discovered.
I don’t subscribe to the theory that it’s staged , only that it’s a pretty remarkable video to capture the theft and the perpetrators so clearly and if the police wish to follow up on this they have a good start !!-

It's a flying saucer?
A couple of years ago I drove past and there was just the Buddha, today as we were in the area the gf suggested we call in to see the finished effect.
Not a good surprise ???? -

And here's Andrew in poor form. Not only in poor form but also walking a dangerous line by threatening to post some Malc Almond and Soft Cell. You fully understand, Andrew, that doing so may get you banned from this thread? Not only that but you would be liable for any compensatory payments paid to victims due to auricular damages if they inadvertently hit the play button. You might possibly avoid these serious repercussions if you played Tainted Love, which wasn't a half bad tune. Anything else, though . . .
And in support of Andrew's seemingly wild claim of great musicians existing in Leeds here's legal evidence which would stand in any court of law. The Cresters with the 1964 hit I Just Don't Understand. Your welcome, Andrew.
While I often claim to be from Leeds I was born and lived for many years in a small town midway between Leeds and Bradford and as it has a BD postcode I suppose I am from Bradford !! ( but who wants to admit that !! ).
Soo, in another feeble attempt to salvage my heritage , here goes.
NOTE: am resisting the urge to post Kiki Dee or Smokie [emoji51]
Here’s Allan Holdsworth on guitar flying the flag for Bradford !!-

By accident looking for something else, I discovered Counterpart & it's bloody good. Binged on the 10 episodes of Season 1, & because it was released last year, Season 2 is out. [emoji122]

Anyone seen it - let me know what you think?
I found the plot very intriguing, & the characters - although no really big names, excellent.
Stephen Rea plays a deliciously evil double agent & Nazani Boniadi (never heard of her) made me salivate!
Yup, I binge watched season 1 also, excellent IMO, have got season 2 ready but got waylaid with Sneaky Pete which is also excellent IMO .-

If it’s a thread then you need to do as Crossy says and use ptfe tape or thread sealant which is white ( not to be confused with thread locker which is commonly blue ).

My local SCG stockist has a display of Loctite products, check yours out.
Should look something like this :
( the number might vary due to: high pressure or high temperature etc variations ).
