What part of Britain is known for growing tea?
I've heard of cheddar cheese and other pommie produced stuff and what have you, but never British tea.
Teaside ( sometimes spelt Teeside ) !!
Sorry, I’ll get my coat [emoji20]-

As several posters have stated, tea bags contain "fannings" (dust) and broken leaves from the grading process. Still makes a good cuppa, but for purists, leaf tea made the old fashioned way with teapot and strainer plus tea cosy is best. My personal favourite is, but
and
come close. Tea prices at supermarkets in Thailand are expensive by comparison to the UK. I have been fortunate to have a friend who brings copious supplies from England on his frequent visits.

Note the “ cheesy “ emojis so as not to upset those unfortunate folks born on the wrong side of the Pennines .

My Auusie golfing pal plays once a week at a course near Udon Thani. He always gets one of the female caddies that offer an 'happy ending'. Plenty to choose from; he tells me.
Ahh the 19th hole [emoji51]-

What a prick!
He may be proud of his “ attributes “ but I doubt his love life will be up to much !! -
I bring back supplies from the uk on my six monthly visit, usually Tetley’s or similar ( brought back PG Tips one time and found it weak ) .
TBH anything other than Liptons will suffice, I only drink one cup in a morning and then green/jasmine tea in an evening, very rarely a Tetley’s in the evening.
Haven’t seen or tried them myself but have heard that Tesco sell a Special Blend ( ? ) that’s palatable, of course won’t be as cheap as the uk .-

They've been asking for the home maps for the past year or two for retirement extensions as well at BKK CW... not just marriage extensions. And there are no Immigration home visits for retirement extensions, especially in BKK.
Mine is a retirement extension and I got the home visit, Ayutthaya.-

Last year at BKK CW, the officer asked my wife in Thai for me to hand draw a map to our house. Instead, to her considerable surprise, I pulled out of my folder a printed Google Map page with our home and address marked on it. At least on that day with that officer, she was willing to accept that. Next time, who knows...
I wondered the same question myself. Someone else here at some point suggested it was to check whether applicants really knew where their home was supposed to be... I'm not so sure about that potential explanation. But other than that, I have no idea!!!
At my last extension they asked for the map, my gf drew it in front of them and was accepted, I asked if I should be drawing it !, they said “ no problem “.
But then they did follow it up with a house visit, so maybe it’s to help them find the house [emoji51] -

Actually, upon returning from an overseas trip our IO does require one now. I don't know about domestic but I will enquire before heading away for a week.
Ah, okay , I didn’t realise that, probably nearly a year ago now when I enquired and I’ve been out the country twice or three times since.
I’ve no reason to go to IO for a couple of months, so, interesting to see what they say about domestic.
Will probably look at registering for online just in case [emoji51]

There’s an online TM 30 option available.
It seems quite complicated at the moment and many are complaining that it takes up to a month to get accepted but there are also some who have been accepted quickly.
Seems like the key is to do one in person, then the online application becomes easier.
My IO ( Ayutthaya ) currently does not require repeat TM 30’s after doing one initially but I fully expect it to happen, the online version now accepts residential applications ( as opposed to Hotels only ) for a reason .-
