  1. Get me a couple next time you go please Owl , they only sell losing tickets where i live.
  2. Okay, so not really Thailand related but does go a long way to explain the current thinking in designing an EV, an interesting video imho. Let’s face it, who wouldn’t want a frunk that size !!
  3. Use a VPN , should be able to get a free one or at least a 1 month trial , for iPlayer and ITVHub etc. For Radio I use this app, no VPN required.
  4. Agree with “Two” , streaming sites are plentiful, quick and full of content both new and old. I used torrent sites for a few years but don’t see a need now. I use fmovies.to and find it excellent, episodes of current series are available the moment they are released, the same with movies. I have flitted around trying different streaming sites as some work better than others and are also dependent on the browser you are using.
  5. Saw the video on the news last night. He was fighting off his would be rescuers and definitely jumped, whether he was trying to miss or land on the airbag is unclear. He made contact with the side of the airbag and died from his injuries.
  6. It’s nice to get a laugh emoji for the above post. Usually i would find it very strange when my post was not intended to be humorous, but when i see the author of said emoji has “ Ford “ in his username I understand ……… i mean any lover of that model cannot have much to laugh about !!
  7. I don’t think anyone has claimed it a benefit, more like it’s not such a hardship that some make out . As stated above, an EV is not ideal for those who make frequent long trips but some plan their stops and find the small inconvenience is outweighed by the money saved. An HEV or PHEV for the longer trips and a small EV for the local stuff is possibly the ideal situation ?
  8. 160k more for the extended range Dolphin, bigger battery + range, more horses, more torque, a sunroof, upgraded suspension and two tone paintwork. Seems like an okay deal . Personally i would like an extended range with all the trimmings except for the sunroof and the two tone paintwork on the bonnet ( roof only ) but compromises have to be made. Same deal as the Atto 3 except if you want factory AC charger installed it is 25k plus seems like they have dropped the free servicing which cannot be very expensive ? can it ?
  9. Latest OTA update on the Atto 3 , in AUS at least, trials the Dynamic Range Prediction. Interesting to see if this works reliably. https://www.carexpert.com.au/car-news/the-new-features-the-byd-atto-3-gets-with-its-latest-update
  10. Good advice, many didn’t take this into account ????
  11. The comparison is very basic and can be read in many ways, City Turbo has great range. Dolphin has the best baht to kilometre ratio. Kicks has excellent range, the best hp and 0-100 but sorely lacking in the safety stuff. Yaris is cheapest but very slow off the mark . Mazda sits somewhere in the middle. Depends what you are looking for in a car, for some these results might be a deal breaker but obviously looks, comfort, loading space, ride handling, service and reliability should be taken into account also.
  12. Here’s another comparison about how the standard Dolphin stacks up against similar priced ICE cars in the 700/750k range.
  13. Here’s another EV comparison chart, for a budget of 900k.
  14. @BKKBike09 Can I ask, do the voice commands on the Atto 3 work as well here as they appear to do on the AUS and NZ versions ? ( YouTube videos ) In particular the ability to change fan speed, temperature or audio volume and channels etc ? Seems like a great alternative to fumbling with the screen while driving. Disappointed that the voice commands on MG and Haval are only in Thai language here, although both these have limited commands anyway.
  15. Nope They just pop up on the FB groups I follow and as the Dolphin is “flavour of the month “ there’s plenty of comparison with MG4 and Good Cat.
  16. Stuck for space in the car port ? Here’s how the smaller EV’s shape up.
  17. There were plenty of Atto 3 owners trying to sell their free wall charger , with installation rights, on FB for 12/14k , they will be hunted down now ????
  18. BYD Dolphin price announcement: Standard range : 699,999 baht Extended range : 859,999 baht No more free home charger , now 25,000 baht. @Gweiloman
  19. The OP hasn’t given us much to go on, but lets assume he wants how much it will cost to get from A to B by car ? Depends on vehicle and speed driven but a general guide. 2 baht per km for a hybrid/economical car. 3 baht per km for a larger car/pickup
  20. I have no idea, just a strong rumour at the moment.
  21. Neta V with the top spot for registered EV’s in Thailand for the month of June . Could the announcement of a price increase for Neta’s cheap and cheerful have helped ? ……… just sayin’
  22. Now we are talking, but both are above my pay grade ☹️
  23. Not too much to get excited about over this model imo, nothing stands out for me. The front light cluster looks OTT, more suited to the bigger front end cars like Haval. The excessive wheel arch trim adds nothing either, in fact detracts for the aesthetics imho. The space age lighting and olde worlde trim seems very contradictory, but that might be just my viewpoint. A roomy and light interior but perhaps at the expense of rear loading space though. But , competition is healthy to keep prices down and if the proposed 610 km range combined with a competitive price tag comes to fruition then maybe AION will find some success here.
  24. You obviously don’t understand that this thread is about someone trying to get a cheap haircut in BKK not another opportunity for you to prove you are more Thai than Thai themselves .
