MedPark Hospital - Will I definately get Pfizer ?
Andrew Dwyer replied to vision2014's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Similar storyline for me, I registered Sunday evening (Aug 1st) , got a 19.30 slot on Wed Aug 11th. “ Prefers Pfizer “ Today got an identical email. I live an hour north of MedPark and was hoping for a local shot from expatvac to avoid Bangkok but MedPark looks like it could be okay, not as crowded as Bang Sue ???? -
Who has a confirmed appointment via Expatvac website?
Andrew Dwyer replied to Thailand's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
I have seen one report on here of someone receiving a a date of Friday 6th for Bang Sue, the recipient lives in an adjacent province, no vaccine stated. Plus, a different poster asking how to change or cancel an expatvac appointment also at Bang Sue, the reason is stated as being unknown origin of an AZ vaccine being offered.( presumably for future travel issues ) -
The “ it works for me no problem “ posts are annoying but so are the “ it has never worked “ posts. I reported online no problem until the site went down, did a report in person during downtime. Site back up, could not report in person despite many different browsers and experimental filling in of online form ( only fill asterisk, use drop downs etc ), must have tried +40 times, visit in person. This week, similar experience, tried 10 times over a couple of days, no joy, prepared to visit IO, photo copies and TM47 form. Decided to give the app a try, initially couldn’t get past first page, then got to submit but got an error message , apparently a communication error. Went back to website, W10 and IE, worked first time, pending and accepted about 20 hours later !! So, does the online report work ?? ….. yes and no !! For some - works first time For others - never works For a few - will for some unknown reason decide to play ball after many attempts. My recommendation would be: Keep trying ,as long as your patience allows , then choose in person or mail in, grab a cold one from the fridge and chill ????

Regarding expatvac: is only the tweets that seem to suggest Aug 10 as a starting point. I had a Pfizer preferred appointment for evening of Aug 11th at MedPark, received an email today : @mtls2005 Have just seen your post on the other thread, so it appears that you know as much as I do . Seems like we will not know for certain what vaccine is offered until arrival for appointment. ” Dear Andrew Dwyer, With the recent announcement on the continuation of curfew hours, we realized that everyone may want a bit more flexibility to be able to get home a little earlier. Because of this, we’ve moved your appointment up so it is earlier in the day. And to give you flexibility, you can choose to get vaccinated at MedPark any day from 10 - 12 August, 2021 at any time between 08:00 to 19:00 hrs. We hope this works better for you. Please arrive within the above time period, and show your original copy of current passport along with this email. Please let us know if this schedule does not work for you, and we can work something out! See you at MedPark! MedPark Team

Yes, I am 63 km north of Bang Sue and would definitely prefer somewhere more local, but doubt it will happen. Hopefully common sense will prevail with more localities becoming available, there was talk of Buriram getting some of the Pfizer so that is good news for Isaanites, obviously not for you @Saltire.

Okay So we have seen one report of a confirmed appointment slot so far. Appointment: Bang Sue Grand Station Residence: Pathum Thani While Pathum is just “ up the road “ it is disappointing that the poster didn’t get a more local appointment. I am a little further up the road ( Ayutthaya ) and am hoping that there will be something available outside the Bangkok area but have my doubts. Any more confirmed appointments ??

I didn’t have any issues other than the initial confusion that just sending an email address was sufficient for pre-registration. I did use an alternative email address and then use the “ insert a period/full stop “ method before realising that I had supplied enough information. As @Raybangkok stated, I received the support@ email as confirmation of receipt of email address and a link to registration. Confirmation of registration was from the expatvac@ email address.

Not all, as well as the above I also got a link to registration from: [email protected]

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2021)

I read somewhere of a theory that as frontline health workers will be getting a Pfizer booster vaccination the vaccines will be distributed to various cities and should include vaccines for foreigners who have registered. Should take a week to 10 days to organise . Might be horse khrap of course but sounds a reasonable plan .

My online report looks like a failure again so will visit the IO, last report also failed online but previous to the site going down I could report online without problem. Has anyone had any success in reviving the online report at their IO by bringing it to their attention ?? Last time I forgot to mention it as was in and out in less than a minute but this time I aim to try and make them aware online doesn’t work for me. Or will I be wasting my breath ?? ( Ayutthaya IO )
