EV Owners … Real life experience & help thread

@KhunLA Did you manage to offload your ZS ICE ?, and if you did were you relatively happy with what you got for it ? -
I’m getting an intermittent fault on my reversing camera and the screen, it’s random, appearing 50% of the time like this: It is all tucked behind the back bumper but I found the camera/wiring and its connection : I would like to remove this connector to give it a “ blow out “ but it isn’t coming out easily. Am I right in saying a small flat screwdriver down the slot is required to release it ??

I must look older than my years Owl !! It was 1961 ( year I was born ) when Leeds changed to the all white kit and was indeed under Don Revie .

Mine came with 2 keys also.

Here’s from my manual: Mine is definitely for spare power supply ( or when the internal battery dies ) . You can see it plugs in under the number keypad. I also have 2 spare emergency keys for if I forget the number code. The Jack plug on mine is 3.5 mm, standard for headphones etc. Yours might be a different size but i’m pretty sure it will plug into the keypad somewhere , look to see if there isn’t a removable panel somewhere also, mine has one over the handle and hides the keyhole.

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2022)

Candy ( 2022 ) tv series 5 episodes. True story of Candy Montgomery, quiet mother and churchgoer accused of killing her good friend in 1980’s Texas .Did she snap, was it self defence or is she innocent ? Jessica Biel stars as Candy. Liked this, had a bit of a Fargo feel to it, slow paced but keeps you interested. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13729648/ -

It’s as @Crossy states the emergency power to open the safe when the battery in the actual safe dies. Somewhere on your safe ( externally ) there is a socket for the Jack plug on your “ emergency power “ thingy . Put batteries in it, plug it in , input your code number to open safe and change internal battery. This is what mine looks like:

I owned one , a C4 Pallas Sedan , certainly was very nice inside but boasted the badly thought out stationary centre of the steering wheel, widely acclaimed as a bad idea !!

Hence “ on mine “ ??!!!

Anyone on True visions, check ch 123 truesports2 or ch 24 True4U , repeated on other channels, 667 etc. Am on the basic True Visions package and so far all games available, use the original audio button ( under the red button ) on your remote for English commentary. You don’t get the build up or half time waffle in English though, have to go on the Net for that.

On your remote, under the red button on mine.

Yes , rare I believe , I did have one previously at this same IO, Ayutthaya. TM30 was done on application for O visa and print out supplied ( and returned ) today, copies of landlord (gf) id and house book also supplied, plus a hand drawn map . Pretty much as done for previous retirement extensions so they have all the address information already but as it’s a new visa might as well do it all again …….. now where did I put that blood pressure medicine ?

Yes, immigration sometimes appears like they are out to try our patience, i myself had a surprise on returning to do my O visa extension today. Just to recap: I had been knocked back because I only produced a 3 month statement as this was a new OA visa, Immigration wanted to see a 12 month statement presumably to ensure I had complied with my previous extension from an OA visa Sept 2021. Anyhoo, left home at 9.15 to get to Bangkok Bank for 9.30 and pick up my 12 month statement ordered the previous Tues, made a transaction and updated bank book, then got a bank letter. Photocopied bank book and entered immigration around 10.00 am, to my surprise was very quiet and got dealt with almost immediately. Sat patiently as the paper shuffling and typing commenced. Paid the 1,900 baht, took the photo and all was good until: “ you return Dec 13 ( my O expires Dec 14 ) after Immigration visit your home “ So i got an under consideration stamp until Dec 13 even though my O visa is good until Dec 14. I wasn’t expecting this to be honest. I did have a home visit by Immigration before but don’t recall whether it was when I moved province or when I did my first extension from my OA visa back in Sept 2018. My 90 day report is at the end of this month, wondering how this will go ??

Yes, again, if the pig fat is cooked enough I can eat it, love pork scratchings , it’s the slimy undercooked variety that I have trouble with.
-
I could probably eat the chicken feet soup if the feet were removed before eating but couldn’t chew on the feet !, am the same with beef and pork fat , it just doesn’t go down ????
-
Only jesting Owl, I know you are on the “ to be taken externally “ stage. I don’t like to eat any chicken skin ( unless crispy ) and scrape it off chicken breast and wings etc . As my dear old mum would say “ don’t be so nesh “

Chicken feet soup or the urine challenge ?, probably tastes the same imo. GF just finished some chicken feet soup and left the offending limb lying there like some galine autopsy , nearly put me off my spring rolls ! She did complain that the soup was a little spicy though ……. really ?

Yes, appears like another difference between immigration offices, some ask you to return at the end of the visa exempt stay and others use a 2 week template irrespective of when you apply. I applied at day 5 at Ayutthaya, of my 30 day exempt, and they gave me a 17 day return date. A friend did similar at Sisaket and got a 15 day return date. Another report recently of someone applying shortly after arriving and got a 42 day return date. Others are notified by phone when their O visa is ready. I suppose it makes no difference really as I don’t recall anyone reporting being refused on their return to pick up the visa stamp, any discrepancies would be picked up at application.
