FBI found more than 11,000 government records at Trump's Florida home
heybruce replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
The post was to correct your claim that "the Russia thing was pretty much dismissed as fake". Did you note the words from your own source "It also found that Russia had interfered in the election" The 'It' refers to the Mueller investigation report Report On The Investigation Into Russian Interference In The 2016 Presidential Election. -

The investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election was not a hoax. From your source: "In 2019, the Mueller investigation concluded that it could not determine any criminal conspiracy between Moscow and the Trump campaign." "It also found that Russia had interfered in the election "in sweeping and systematic fashion", and outlined 10 times when Mr Trump possibly impeded the investigation." -
Right; ignore the crime and look for a conspiracy instead. Can you give one example of law enforcement rushing the investigation of a high-profile individual who did not present a flight risk and was hiding behind an army of lawyers? By the way, his is a very serious crime. "A document describing a foreign government’s military defenses, including its nuclear capabilities, was found by FBI agents who searched former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence and private club last month, according to people familiar with the matter, underscoring concerns among U.S. intelligence officials about classified material stashed in the Florida property." "Some of the seized documents detail top-secret U.S. operations so closely guarded that many senior national security officials are kept in the dark about them. Only the president, some members of his Cabinet or a near-Cabinet-level official could authorize other government officials to know details of these special-access programs, according to people familiar with the search, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe sensitive details of an ongoing investigation." https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2022/09/06/trump-nuclear-documents/

Regardless of what the Trump supporters think, this is very, very bad. What non-criminal intent could there be? -

An incredible patriot? As evidenced by what? His service record? Nope. His charitable work? No again. His fondling flags with a goofy smirk on his face? Only an idiot would fall for that. Falsely accused without evidence? There was ample evidence for both impeachments. If you want to see an example of accusations without evidence, look at the "born in Kenya" nonsense leveled at Obama before he was elected and continuing through both terms. Who was that fat idiot leading the birther nonsense? Regarding Trump donating his salary, he enriched himself in office with tax breaks, an outrageous increase in the admission fee to Mar-a-Lago, and lobbyist foreign and domestic spending vast sums at his properties, secure in the knowledge that doing so might not benefit them but not doing so would land them on his sh*t list. And now he has been caught stealing, uh, in-possession-of government documents that he refused to return and denied having. Why did he have these documents? No one can say. Why wouldn't he return them? Also no answer. How can anyone defend him now that he's been caught red-handed? That continues to puzzle me.- 398 replies

As Chomper Higgot and many others have explained, that's not how investigations work. Unless you are impenetrably dense, you already know that. Your unimaginative, repetitive "arrest him already" is the only deflection you can come up with. -

Yes, you've made it clear. In spite of vast quantities of government documents removed from his property, no evidence that highly classified documents were ever declassified, lying about the evidence of classified on the property, etc., you think the whole thing is just a conspiracy by the Democrats. You have no evidence, but that doesn't keep you from repeatedly stating so. Funny that you can't see conspiracies in Trump's dealings with Putin, or his attempt to get dirt on Biden from Zelensky, or his undermining the integrity of elections before they are held. -

Here's three links showing Trump calling into Fox and Friends and the Hannity program. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rx5hA9G_bac https://news.yahoo.com/president-trump-calls-fox-friends-143632800.html https://news.yahoo.com/trump-calls-fox-news-says-040700550.html Do you have any evidence showing his seven hours a day of watching television consisted or actual news programs? -

Except Trump didn't watch the news, he watched the pundit programs that praised his every move. -

Wow! Were you unaware that Presidents have always been allowed to work from the White House? And that only Trump spent seven hours a day watching television? I may have watched as much as seven hours of television in one day on infrequent occasions, but I've never watched that much on a regular basis. It sounds mind-numbing. -

So Republicans should be happy to see Trump in prison and no longer making headlines. -

Or the FBI and Justice Department were desperately trying to spare the office of the Presidency the embarrassment of having to raid Trump's home and investigate him for serious crimes. Unfortunately Trump is too much of a buffoon to allow such a reasonable outcome. -

Really? Do explain what documents that are clearly the property of the US government Trump is allowed to keep. Be sure to explain why he can keep them in spite of repeated requests to return them, and use credible sources. -

Why are you and the other Trump supporters so eager to end this investigation ASAP? Afraid of what else might be found?
