is a Buddha statue a work of art ?
Is it an antique if not old ?
Most Buddhas i see are mostly modern tat, not valuable art or antique

<deleted>, why in the name of common sense does anyone need a personal vehicle with an internal combustion engine anymore.
Explain that to me and I will be sad about a car manufacturer that goes out of business.
Automobile production is out of hand everywhere, sucking the money out of peoples wallets, making them lazy and fat, and ruining the air that we all breath. Manufacturers of cars, the oil companies, and the insurance companies are all laughing their way to the bank on how they got everyone addicted to their products
i take it you don't live in a small village, miles from anywhere, with very limited and uncomfortable bus service, like millions of other people do. Those are the people who need cars and trucks, For me its 30k round trip for a carton of milk, 90k for a Tesco or makro. You think we should walk instead of drive ??

Had cheese on toast for my tea yesterday.
My cooking skills consist of toast, fried eggs, bacon, cheese on toast, or microwaved porridge.
Anything else, have a lady to do it ( when she feels like it) lol

Pretty sure I got a fake Windows installed, I paid 1000 ThB.
I have now permanently a banner ( On screen right down ) with the mention =
" Activate Windows ".
But I am still able, so far, to work without any problems.
Thanks Lucky. will try and see if i can get a code, but if not, maybe live with the banners if necessary. Just surprised that a supposedky reputable shop would not install an original one. Would go back and give them a piece of my mind, but would be wasting my time here i think

OP, I would guess that the shop you purchased your computer from 'helped' you out by installing an image on your HDD/SSD. Did you also receive Microsoft Office, Photoshop, etc? This is/was pretty standard and most people didn't realize it is breaking the rules. I even know some people that are adamant that MS Office comes installed with a windows installation, because they have always had an image installed when getting a new computer.
A lot of these shops base their images on an Enterprise version of the OS; this will activate automatically without keys needed or KMS tools, hence the reason they use it. The downside of this is that most enterprise copies only validate for 180 days, then they need to be re-activated which seems to be true in your case. If you open a command prompt (type cmd into search and enter, or windows key + r and type cmd into the run box) and type slmgr /xpr, this will show you the validation of your OS; the example below is from one of my machines, you'res will be different.
To confirm which version of Windows you are running, type sysinfo into search and click on the System Information entry. This will open the sysinfo module and show you everything about your computer, similar to below. You will see which OS and version you are running.
Now, I am not 100% sure about this, but I believe you can't just buy a cheap key and change that key on an enterprise version of windows. (Perhaps someone could clarify this?). If that is the case, best scenario is to backup all your data, get a cheap key and download a clean ISO copy of the version you want from MS and build an installation USB with something like Rufus and do a clean format. Note that if you do this, you will not be able to transfer any third party software without their installation media.
Going a different route, there are many, many ways to 'activate' windows OS. Can't discuss here as it is against forum rules, but Google is your friend........
Good Luck.
Thanks Chris
I bought the computer around 3 years ago, so not sure how this ties in with the 180 day ?
Will look at the rest
If a new computer bought here, can i insist on the actual sealed disc of Microsoft Windows and install it myself ? Do they do that here ?
Always used to get discs when buying in Uk, and kept these safe if required later, but never gave it a thought here

I suspect you have a fake copy of windows, Win 7 or Win 10,
you can buy very cheap Win10 licenses off Ebay UK,
£2.95, I have bought a few and they all work.if you already
have Win 10 installed, just validate with license number.
regards worgeordie
Thanks
So they issue you with fake copies when you buy a computer from a large shop here in Thailand ?
What happens if i don't buy, get a number ?

That's a load of guff. All banks need you to go to the branch you have the account to make changes like passport update or signature updates. The op needs to make the journey or open a new account nearby.
yes, but why ?Everything is now done on computers. They can upload your account details, your statements, etc, in seconds, in any branch, so why the need to go possible halfway across the country for no reason .
Stupidity and jobsworth at its finest
had the same problem with her indoors telephone. Kept getting bills for an old phone she had canceled long time ago, kept getting told, had to go to branch where she buy/open it. After asking why, when i could see all the details on his computer, i gave up, told him to stick it where the sun don't shine and walked out. never heard anything since . But wouldn't advise this at a bank, lol

Anyone know the difference between the word "Slave" and the word "Indentured Servant"?
Just been told off on another site, for using the word Slave, in relation to the Irish people being captured and shipped overseas. But in the books and Folklore they use the word Slaves when talking about the Irish and the Vikings,, But it seems the words "Indentured Servants" should be used for these folk. Is this a word we should now use for all these black "Slaves "
Got to admit, it makes it sound so much better-

no mention of race so I guess all Thai.
I was never one to enjoy a party past 2 am and that messed up my next day. thai clubs to loud for me and smoking allowed. 20 years behind common sense. maybe the drug use was discrete? since a low % purple. I don't suggest anyone travel to Thailand anymore but when I did advise people I told them make sure you don't smoke marijuana before you go to Thailand in case you have to pee on a strip.
What happens if you can't pee. ?

So you give the IO the YouTube link and say this is the law?
Nope, just printed of the paperwork from the official immigration site, in English, and in Thai, both of which she denied where correct, and proceeded to fine me, but only after stating "she no understand"
Maybe i would be better printing off the youtube link, she might accept that one , lol
So yes, will try and stick with online reporting , at least i can shout at the computer when it wont work properly

Yep, get information on whether you can stay in Thaialnd from You Tube.
Yup, nearly as good as getting information from my local Immigration office. The ones who refuse to accept, or believe the official paperwork supplied by immigration. The ones who make up their own definition of what the rules say, and quiet happily fine you if you don't accept their version

I keep reading these bad experiences on TV forum ....
*BUT* on 15th (Monday) I went online for very first time, filled out the form and submitted it. Later around 3pm, on very SAME DAY, I got an email stating that I was approved. I went back to immigration website, entered in my info to retrieve my approval and then printed them out. It was fairly straight-forward process.
I tried to go online many times, her indoors tried it too, but could not get past the first page, and downloading the Apps didn't help either
Will try maybe next month. Want to avoid the office if possible, get different requests, depending on which lady is see, And when they tell me " I no understand too" then i know I'm in trouble .

fyi, there is a "window" of 15 days to do online reporting. if you missed it, then you have to do it in person.
is this 15 day" window" , After the 31st of July ? when the amnesty ends ?

Fair enough.
That you don't need to do the current report is definite. 100 percent.
The specifics about the next report have not been announced yet.
There will be news about that near the end of the amnesty period.
You will be able to find that news either here or other places.
I suggest subscribing to the Integrity Legal youtube channel. He has already mentioned this issue in videos and he will definitely post when the policy is official.
Thanks again Jingthing
Will look for the channel channel on You Tube
Edit
Found and subscribed !

I did mine online 4 weeks ago. IT solved the confusion issue. You don't have to do it, but Immigration seem quite relaxed if you want to, at least in Pattaya that is.
Been trying to do it online for the last few days. Would be very happy if I could even get into the system to let me do it

UK-born Islamic State recruit can return from Syria to challenge citizenship removal
in World News

so why can't we leave her there and conduct the case using Zoom, or some other video conferencing type. No need to allow her in to the UK, She is much safer there due to the Covid virus too, ( well they could use that excuse )
If she wins the appeal, then we maybe have to allow her back in, with all the free benefits, but if she loses, then she stays over there in the camp , hopefully for the rest of her life
