You should rightly have 3 forms stapled in the back of your Passport.

    1). TM6 Departure card.

    2). Receipt of TM30.

3). Receipt of 90 day reporting.

    TM30-New.pdf 414.78 kB · 7 downloads

You should have the notification receipt for filing the above form.

If you haven't, then you need to file one as Immigration have requested.

    thanks

Yes i have these 3 forms in my passport

That seems to be TM47 receipt for a 90 day report. A TM30 report receipt does not have return date on it.

    sorry ubonjoe

    My mistake

i also have a receipt dated 7th August which has been filled out by I.O with my name, address o it with stamp in the corner

    Receipt of Notification

I guess that is the correct one ?

Are you saying that locking down the towns and villages resulted in the death of 80% of the population?

In some of the villages ( Eyam) , yes with many abandoned due to so few being able to work the land or survive

Are you saying this is going to happen here with this "deadly" virus ?

    If not, why ?

If its so deadly and infectious, how will preventing pople from travelling prevent further infections in that community and why do deaths not increase in these areas ?

I know it will prevent the spread to ther areas, most of which we, and the goverment have no idea how many infections there are in these areas , all we see, as per other countries, is increased infection counts, due to increased testing, but no comparable increase in deaths

HI, WHEN did you notify Pattaya IO that your relocated?  If you did that BEFORE June 30, the new regulation re TM-30 was not yet applicable, and then effectively you were still required to notify IO of you returning to your place of residence.  However, if you did provide Pattaya IO with your TM-30 as proof of relocation to your new address after 30 June, there is no need anymore to do so (as long as you stay on the same Visa or extension).  And if you did indeed file a TM-30 after June 30 with your new address and they they ask for it now, there must be some hiccup in their administration.

    Thanks Peter

Had been to Uk for a few weeks before returning to Thailand, then to Pattaya

Pattaya was end of March 2020, then came back here, did 14 days quarantine in house, then went to local I O office to do TM30, due to leaving/returning back into country

Then  did my 90 day report in August, no bother, then did my 90 day in November, which they then insisted on a TM30, due to getting visa in Pattaya in March, even though i had given them one in April

Did this, then 3 weeks ago, gave all details on house book, etc, so i could get a certificate of residency from them to allow me to renew my bike licence

They then lost the paperwork from the Land office, which i had to replace, and in the office, they again went through my passport and paperwork

Seems to be a lot of hiccups in the office,

school call us today to pick up our child  at noon , suspicion of covid in khon kaen province ????

Have they tested the children , or have they sent them home, possibly carrying the virus to the towns and villages ?

If they dont test, how can they know how many, if any, have the virus and are passing it on ?

do they think the virus stops spreading just because you send them home ?

Anyone learn about the Black Death, the plague that killed so many in England ?

They locked down their towns and villages to stop the spread of the virus, with the result, up to 80% of the population died.

Why is this "deadly: virus not doing the same ?

Senior scientist son is isolating his kids (my grandkids) in PA because he thinks a minor Covid infection in anybody could turn into latent disease, like herpes or HepC, which could be reactivated at any time during the person's life for unknown reasons, say stress, for example. In adults, he speculates recovered Covid infectees might not really be recovered but harbouring a hidden kill switch.

Not to mention long-haul Covid symptoms making life hell, potentially forever. Better safe than sorry.

Mortality (look, just 60!) is a poor marker for suffering. Shut the damn schools until we know how far this has spread.

The countries which reopened have cases out of control now. Do we want to join them?

And we know exactly where to lay the blame this time: on the greedy fatcats who wanted Burmese slave labour & didn't want to pay for their quarantine. And any Thai official who looked the other way.

I count 34 provinces, plus Bangkok with Covid+ so far. [Ang Thong, Ayutthaya, Chachoengsao, Chai Nat, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Chonburi, Kamphaeng Phet, Kanchanaburi, Khon Kaen, Krabi, Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Ratchasima, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Phayao, Petchabun, Petchaburi, Phuket, Pitsanalok, Pichit, Prachinburi, Prachuab Khiri Khan, Ratchaburi, Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon, Samut Songkhram, Saraburi, Singburi, Surat Thani, Tak, Suphanburi, Udon Thani, Uttaradit plus Bangkok]. Please add to this list if you know of others.

Let's put it another way: Do you feel safe shopping at Makro, Tops, Villa, taking BTS & MRT today??? Not me...

yup, i feel safe shopping at most places

how will you know how far this has spread, unless you test each and every one ?

Considering over 97% of people are unaffected by this "deadly" virus, and only know they have it if they get tested, which itself has a poor record of accurate results, its not exactly life threatening for the majority of the population

closing down places, creating lockdowns, will prevent the spread from those areas to others, but will not prevent the spread inside those areas will it ? so if you lock down, say Bangkok, then the spreading of the virus must continue, and if so deadly, then deaths must follow., or do you think the virus knows not to infect anyone after the government calls a lockdown ?

I'm confused why the IO would even call about an outstanding TM30 report unless something else is being processed that needs it? Perhaps the proof of address cert you mention is reason?

    thanks Hamus

but they already have proof of address, took that down , again, on Wednesday for my licence, all checked and passed this rime

but if your confused, how do you think i feel, lol

The best explanation i could come up with is that they might interpret "within the valid period" as being from the day you did the TM30 until the end of your permission to stay back then, and they don't consider getting an extension as extending this "valid period" as well. Thus they would want a new TM30 after you got an extension and stayed somewhere else. When you go back to your IO demand an explanation as to why it is required and share it with us ????

not sure what you mean want a new TM30 after extension ? which extension my 90 days ?

they got a TM30 after i renewed my annual visa , but only when i went to submit my 90 day report, so you think i should have done 2 TM 30s

one straight after return from Pattaya with visa, and one when i did 90 day report ?

But if i stayed in hotel in Patttaya, during visa renewal, would i still need to do a TM30 ?

And why the TM30 request after  having short break in hotel in Bangkok ?

Maybe i should buy some cheap medals off E bay and wear them in immigration like my friend did. He gets visa in Pattaya, but has never done a TM30, nor ever filled in any paperwork photos, house book, etc , in all the years he has lived here

We both went for 90 day report, he got his with no papers no bother, i got sent away and told to return with TM30 !

    Very confused with this

Very odd.....we don't live at our registered address....we just move around in hotels or rent somewhere......and we have never done a TM30 for any of the places we have stayed.....not my responsibility.

    exactly !

Just spoke to my missus who talked on the phone and she repeated it was because we stayed in Bangkok, and they said it was on their computer so we need to do TM30

No mention of us staying in hotels in Kho Chang, and Pattaya, before going to Bangkok

But i thought it was up to the hotels to notify immigration of stay, with no need for change of address for temporary stays

But to tell us we have to do change of address from Pattaya, which i have already done in June is stupid too

Will be an interesting conversation when i go to I.O , but then they hate me asking why, when i say i don't understand something

Where did you stay? It is the hotel/home owner's responsibility to complete the TM30 not yours......correct?

    On holiday ?

    in hotels !

Thats what i dont understand, but they want two TM30s for change of address, and was not happy that we had not done so already, even though i have been taking proof of address to immigration to renew my bike licence

It seems the problem was what you did in Pattaya. Did you a 90 day non immigrant visa entry or a extension of stay there since that would of been a change of your registered address.

A stay at a hotel and etc does not change your address.

I did an extension of retirement visa in Pattaya

But then i did a change of address here, TM30, before i got my 90 day

But they want both TM30s apparently, one for stay in Bangkok, and one for returning from Pattaya

  12. curious

around 500 people die each week on the roads, and nobody bothers or cares, either about the dead or about the high volume of hospital patients

Yet every Thai and an awful lot of ex pats are running scared from something that would probably never bother them , and have more chance of dying or getting badly injured driving to the shops than to catch this virus,

  13. well, it looks like another stuff up by my immigration office

got a phone call today telling me they don't have the letter from the land office, even though it was in the pile that i gave them, and the same pile the lady checked and rechecked

So, looks like i have to go to the land office, get the letter, then go to immigration, see what else they have stuffed up, and then wait for how long, before i get the certified paper

You cant beat immigration , but sometimes you want to

  14. thanks guys

i guess i stupidly thought it would be a standard letter on their computers, with only the need to input name and address

Do they ever use those machines ? Seems everything has to be paperwork, copies, instead of just having it on the computers, which should be linked to most other government departments

Proof of residency ? why ? its only a driving licence, they have your details already from the first licence , they have copies of house book, passport, UK licence, etc, yet seem unable to use these for future use

and they really  seem to hate it when you ask the dreaded word " WHY"?

  15. Hi there

2nd vist to immigration due to one missing signature on paperwork

Just spent the last 3 hours at immigration trying to get my residency certificate so i can renew my bike licence

had signed copies of house book and I D card from my lady, who could not be there due to work load

Lady on counter spent ages looking at the paperwork supplied, kept holding up the papers with the signatures on, then passing them to other staff to inspect

Then get told, " You come back 18th December, but no explanation as to why i need to return in nearly 2 weeks, just for a simple piece of paper

    Is this normal ?

Did not even need the certificate when i renewed my car licence from 2 to 5 years !

My guess is the 400 is based on the original coining of the “big bike” term back in the day of the grey bikes. The most popular and common, but questionably imported (mostly as parts to avoid import duty), were Honda CB400 from Japan. It was even fairly easy to get an actual green book, although numbers and such didn’t always match precisely. My CB400 book said CBR400, but I paid the tax every year! (Engine and frame numbers were correct!)

150cc was the biggest legally sold new back then.

It is proven every year that the largest number of bike deaths are small bikes crashed on smaller roads in the provinces. Last month a guy we know didn’t make it home after a night of drinking 10 miles away. They found him and his bike in the ditch next to a concrete marker post on a curve in the road. Sad.

Training is good, too bad they are looking at the wrong demographic. More lives could be saved by proper driver training for all! And can that ridculous video!

does anyone even watch that video ?

Last time i was waiting in the Land office, i noted about 16 people on their phones and about 12 sleeping, with only a couple looking completely bored
