Probably this is the case: https://aseannow.com/topic/1263948-isp-technical-support-contacts-needed/?do=findComment&comment=17611685 I am not sure about this though, I do not use Truemove as it is the worst mobile internet provider. You should check it yourself by running "mtr" to your VPN server, or at least "ping" it continuously and check for packet losses.

Update: I've got another package over 40k THB shipped by the usual Post and the Customs Office wanted me to find some Thai broker to act on my behalf, or to give them a "small gift" to ease the process. I chose the latter.

duno about DHL but with UPS you could send them just copies of the passport, however you still have to register at your local Customs office. Read this comment and below: https://aseannow.com/topic/1224885-ordering-a-lenovo-thinkpad-4-weeks/?do=findComment&comment=17406336 this

I'm afraid Shopee is dead. I noticed connections to .cn domains such as "https://staging.shopeecb.cn/assets/firebase.063f44ec1b4e878f.js.map" so I'm afraid Shopee was sold to Chinese (Alibaba Holdings or whatever it is called) and they will ruin it same as they ruined Lazada. staging.shopeecb.cn has address 42.194.172.188 Prefix: 42.194.128.0/18 AS-Org-Name: Shenzhen Tencent Computer Systems Company Limited Org-Name: Tencent cloud computing (Beijing) Co., Ltd. City: Beijing Country: China

BITCOINERS, please help me to understand.
fdsa replied to swissie's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
This happens too - a weak implementation of random number generators in some crypto wallets, including original Bitcoin, allows to bruteforce the private keys, and later the seed phrases. Of course the Bitcoin is immune already (and all bruteforce-able wallets were already brute-forced LOL), but the same will happen to the new coins as their developers are not experienced yet. -

Neeranam just promotes his crshítto.com card for a commission, you could simply ignore his advertising. -
Wise account opening
fdsa replied to kiko11's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
no, you need to use Deemoney or traditional bank wire transfer. Wise is used to transfer money into Thailand, not remitting outside. -

Expectation: Reality: everyone and their mom use crypto, including small businesses getting paid from abroad because Chinese government does not care about crypto income but make receiving dollar/euro transactions a huge unbearable pain in the ass. -
I believe Coinbase is a scam company because I recently got a message from legitimate Coinbase email server (I've checked headers and IPs) telling that my account "will soon be suspended", but I have never registered on Coinbase! And they were not addressing me by name or nickname, just "Hello," as scammers usually do. It means that the only information they have about myself is an email address, and most likely they got it from bitcointalk database leak.

I'm afraid your money is lost. First of all it is impossible to resolve this without visiting the exact police station in person (a printed screenshots of the P2P deal might be handy). But then most likely the police officers will direct you to the cyber police division in Bangkok, and then most likely the cyber police will not bother because Binance is not located in Thailand jurisdiction. At least report this situation to Binance to make her account blocked.

If you wasn't using an app you would have got a SMS.

What the hell is wrong with these Russians?

I thought that many Thais love hardcore music until I realized that "Thrasher" is also just a clothing brand. -

How did you determine that he was russian? Did you check his passport? Do you speak russian? Could you distinguish between eastern european languages? Do you realize that for example a large part of Moldova speaks russian?- 45 replies

It is possible to make gold out of lead, the alchemists just did not have the required level of tecnhology back then. If we are unable to give "intelligence" to an inanimate object now it only means that we do not have the required level of technology yet.
-
It's rather sad that people believe the jews' tales that only an old grandpa sitting on the cloud is entitled to give life and intelligence to an inanimate objects, and we people could not do the same. I guess that's what religion is all about.
-
Which is the difference between an electronic circuit made of fat versus electronic circuit made of silicon? Is your organic CPU powered by Holy Light rather than the very same electricity?
-
They send SMS every time you login from a new device.
-
What is "intelligence" then? Aren't we all retreiving, processing and analyzing the data with our biological sensors and biological CPU?

A computer is much more complex and difficult to diagnose and repair than a car. And if it was a firmware problem (one of the chips went nuts) rather than simple electric problem (one of the capacitors or MOSFETs died) then it might be impossible to repair as the firmwares are not publicly available, hence "can not". Also note that computers differ from common household electronics, the latter are easy to diagnose and repair because they are usually made using a single layer Print Circuit Board - all electric wires are visible and you could trace the electric signal to determine which of the chips or other components is faulty. And computers are much more difficult to diagnose because they are made with multiple layer PCB - some electic wires are INSIDE the motherboard so it is simply impossible to trace the signal and determine which of the components is dead.

How to download / convert music videos from YouTube to mp files on PC
fdsa replied to djayz's topic in Audio Visual AV
Most of the software recommended above is based on this script: https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp It is an essential part of every "download video from youtube" software, but without ads, bells, whistles, and all other cráp developers put in their shiny softwares among with that script. If you have a basic understanding of the command prompt you should use this one. -
yep, it's a classic scam for things under $50 - the seller will offer you a refund if you ship the product back to China, and the shipping will cost more than the product itself. That's why you should buy from local sellers, and not the ones with "Pre-order, shipping in 15-20 days" items.

I think it is clear that millions will lose their jobs, the question is how the world shall react to the future influx of unemployed people. We (as humanity at whole) need either to reduce the population or to introduce an Universal Basic Income. As the COVID experiment went unsuccesful I believe the answer is the latter. And most likely UBI will be made not in a direct way like "just exist to get free money" because capitalists will rage their ass off, but in an indirect way of creating bullshít jobs like "earn by watching ads" or "earn by watching TikTok" or any similar way (like already implemented in Thailand and some other countries btw).
