  1. Yeah, some items more. Have a look here: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/michelin-city-grip-2-tl-12-15-filano-pcx-nmax-xmax-adv-forza-aerox-i2777514122-s10103480915.html?
  2. You have to wonder why a social media 'influencer' with a million followers would need to use a chinese focused matchmaker.... Having so many followers here, you can assume she is 'pretty', so why can't she find a local guy?? They'd be queuing up. Its just bizarre to me that the 2nd in command of the Thai police has got involved for a guy doing a runner.
  3. The price of everything has gone up in the last year or so. Where have you been? Check on Lazada - you'll always pay the higher price direct from Honda.
  4. I think it’s fair to assume if the OP has gone through the process of getting a yellow house book and pink card, he wouldn’t be asking this question 👍
  5. Yes, but you will require a certificate of residence in place of your work permit. The rest of the requirements stay the same.
  6. Nah ecstasy doesnt induce this kind of behavior. Its almost certainly meth; yaa baa or ice being my guess.
  7. Did they submit her statements proving 12k per month? (its likely cash) You state you are unemployed and spend 12,000 THB (£270.42) per month on living expenses. However you have not demonstrated with any additional information about your personal circumstances that would demonstrate that you are able to meet the requirements of the Immigration Rules or that your finances as stated. This is the flimsy reason for denial as far as I can see. One thing I do with every application is, in my cover letter say I will transfer 40k as an emergency fund, should anything happen to me, and then submit her statements showing said transfer.
  8. Suing for what? The driver doesnt have a pot to piss in, and his insurance covers some paltry amount. I've seen the 'gofundme' for this accident already up on Facebook.
  9. Go to a Tawandeang in any issan town. Great night out, and the locals get friendly after a bottle of Sangsom
  10. What if the fatalities drop? - less people on the roads at 4am vs 2am = less accidents? The real issue is the culture here is its normal to go drinking and take the car. Take RCA in Bangkok, a predominently thai area, the car parks around the clubs are always full. Taxis in Bangkok are cheap af - why do the kids need to come in their Minis, Benz, BMWs? Because its normalised, and the risk of being stopped is low, and even if stopped they're able to pay their way out of it 90% of the time. Even it does goes to court its max 30k fine, and then carry on as before. How to change the mindset? In the UK, for example, you lose your license minimum 1 year - for many this would mean losing their job. (if caught driving whilst banned you'll go to prison), then when you have your licence back, you looking at minimum 2000 pounds per year to insure a car, as you are seen as high risk. I've never been breathalysed in the UK, but even so the risk vs reward just doesnt make sense there.
  11. Well, if you got a throw-away lease, you're golden, no need for an agent. It's just down to your landlord being willing to make a 'fake' contract to help you.
  12. The focus should be stopping drink driving, not worrying about the time the drunk drivers leave the bar.
  13. Who buys alcohol at arrivals? Its cheaper in the supermarkets here. Duty free it may be, but the consumer doesnt pocket the difference. King power is absolute sh*t
  14. Why? Khoasan road isnt included in the extended opening hours scheme... Not sure why he was there at all
  15. I wish someone (with lots or resources) would challenge these rogue land offices. The usufruct is a recognised concept under the thai land laws. On what grounds can these little divs go against the law and refuse it, and without recourse or appeal?
  16. Maybe. Depends on the airport you choose, and the IO officers mood that day. All you can do is make sure you have 20k baht or currency equivalent (cash) A flight out within the visa timeframe. A hotel booking would look good. A tourist visa may help your case also. If they do deny you, they pretty much always use the 'insufficent funds' reason, but its in Thai - dont sign anything to agree with this, and show them the cash, calmy making it clear you understand their methods of denial.
  17. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. There is no database, or note on your record. Come in on another day, another IO, through a less hostile airport and you'll 'probably' be ok. In the end, having built up a life here, the 'probably' along with the associated anxiety each trip wasnt worth it. I went for an elite visa - I figured it cheaper than a marriage visa. My first 2 years in Thailand I got a 1 year Non-O multi for 'visiting friends', in the UK for 100quid. Easier times. PS I dont 'get' all the naysayers - this panto is common for people living here on tourist visas.
  18. look out! The point just flew over your head.
  19. Im interested to hear how it will affect 'youngsters'? Will it make them gay? Or will it make them grow up to not think it 'abnormal' to be gay? Think about it....
  20. First of all, what was the email address they sent from? Check in the app is the request is there also. If it is, start the process and will will tell you exactly what they need; expect a proof of address - utility bill etc passport scan passport selfie (maybe) Proof of source of income - pension details, bank statements etc
  21. I am, yet I don't know, hence my asking.
  22. Which card would that be?
  23. So we can still sell to thb and cash out without the impossible KYC??
  24. I would guess that most (95%) of 'farangs' under 45 welcome later closing hours.
  25. The latest 'slim' version?
