Listening to UK radio online (and watching tv playback come to that)
Sigma6 replied to Kevin1908's topic in Audio Visual AV
Some IPTV providers have a country lock - so the 1st thing to check is to ask if your account is locked to your home country. -

Warning from marine officials after box jellyfish found in Krabi waters

scary creatures If you are stung, your chance of survival or even getting yourself to the shore is virtually zero. The pain has been described as so excruciating that you will probably go into shock and drown, even before the full affect of the venom takes place. https://www.aims.gov.au/docs/projectnet/sea-wasp.html#:~:text=If you are stung%2C your,of the venom takes place. -
Its fashionable and they think it looks good, simple as that. Its more socially accepted than ever. Its not just hookers that have them, many 'normal' thai women under 30 will have one somewhere. Most current sports stars / musicians are covered in tatts I myself never did, but have thought about it before, and have nothing against it, but never pulled the trigger. Now I guess I'll just wait for the 'clean' look to come back into fashion For me, the girls with full back tatts, sleeves, tatts between or on their tits look terrible, but, as they say; up to you Oh, and the ubiquitous 'barcode' sak yant! scan her at the checkout on the way out of the bar

Certainly looks like they intend to push foreigners out with this. TBH I havent touched the app, or crypto for ages, but I still have 200k+thb on BitKub. How is the requirement to verify communicated? I may have deleted the email, if it came that way, but it seems I could trade and sell in the app currently If I do need to verify is it still possible to withdraw? Has anybody tried the support chat to ask directly what the story is?

Facial recognition for Banking apps
Sigma6 replied to chilly07's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Because of R&D budgets and talent available to implement it. Because on device fingerprint readers / face ID scanners require a physical input that is verified on device, all done securely with no interface with any app or server. A system employed by a bank to work on all phones / operating systems, based off a photo taken in branch, clearly has more potential for problems - you only need to see khunBENQ's comment 3 posts up My HSBC expat app now uses my phone's security to verify transfers -previously I had to use a 'secure key' code generator - they also have a few billion to take care of. Exaclty, thats why I'm suggesting the bank could use a phones inbuilt BIOMETRIC security - its almost impossible to spoof Don't get me wrong; improved security is good, only I dont see where its been improved with this development -

British Embassy Affirmation of Residence
Sigma6 replied to FruitPudding's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
In November last year I got a CoR from the British embassy in Bangkok. I was in the same situation; being bangkok based but not staying 90 days in any trip. I actually inadvertantly booked an appointment for a different service - I misread the website somehow.. Anyway once I got there I explained that I live in bkk, but am unable to get CoR from immigration, that I have a vehicle and I need to be legal! They issued the letter. So I know the website implicitly states that they won't issue a CoR, but if you call and speak directly (with an english person if possible, as to avoid the 'sorry sir, can not' mantra) there may be some option. Certainly not guaranteed, but worth a call. -
From your link I would've never ordered this item - they have never sold any, no ratings, no reviews, and the red writing says no stock. I order from Lazada frequently, pay upfront, but always from local sellers with lots of reviews on the item. Of course Lazada has a lot of fake reviews, but usually you can pick out real ones, and filter out the spam sellers. Its a very niche item, probably not really what Lazada is good for.

I have to ask; how did you find the CVT gearbox on the CRV? Both toyota and Honda are now using CVTs in the models they sell here, and whenever I watch a review of a car with CVT, and it has this contstant rev - clutch slipping like sound when they boot it, well, i lose interest.

E-Visa with thai address on passport
Sigma6 replied to anotherfarangishere's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Bear with me here, I've never applied for the thai e-visa: So what if (whilst in Korea) the OP selects that he is in France, and completes the online form - is there any further interaction - do they send a visa sticker - I assume its all online and digital, so is it possible in theory? -
Nah he transfered the money himself "During the tasks, the victim was lured into transferring money to the website. The web admin encouraged the victim to transfer larger amounts assuring him that he would get all of the money back at the end of the game. Eventually, the victim lost 3 million baht to the scam." How do dim people have millions of baht availble to splurge on pornsites? ????♂️

Currency Transfer Using Wise.com
Sigma6 replied to fceligoj's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
First time you have done this with Wise? It sounds like the fairly standard 'know you customer' requirements that all users have done. If you have done that already, Wise can still request it randomly, maybe if you use a different source / destination account. I think the next transfer will be quick again -

I think you have no idea what you're talking about in regards to: Wireless charging iPhones Carplay / Android Auto iTunes Music streaming Yet you only give snippets of information, and replied answers get snipey replies Ridiculous ???? One thing you may not have considered; depending on age of car (again, you didnt think to mention this....) it may not have wireless carplay?? so the phone will need to be plugged in anyway. look at this android phone getting charged in a 2015 Camry..... ????
