  1. Having Googled the word I see that it is from the mangled version of English used by Americans. That explains why I was not familiar with it.
  2. Try Scoot. They fly BKK, Singapore, Gold Coast. I booked a return ticket for my SIL earlier this year and it was about 40K.
  3. 14mm is the diameter of the thread.
  4. 1000 Island Dressing you say? Did you wonder why the delivery boy arrived late looking drained and flustered?
  5. According to the BBC Vlad has left Moscow for Saint Petersburg. I guess that is where he keeps his spare underwear.
  6. Another vote for Honda. Mine is a UMK435T. Like others I do not use a bump feed head.
  7. Well I ordered the parts for the Honda Innova at my dealer in Chumphon using the parts book for a 2004 Wave 125S so they must have been making the Wave 125 back then. The only differences between the Innova and the Wave are to do with lighting where legal requirements differ in the EU/UK. The 2004 Wave parts book shows an electric starter. Wave parts book is here: https://mototh.com/en/bike/6/Honda+WAVE+125S+2004
  8. It is actually a 2004 Honda Innova 125 which I have in the UK. The Innova is 99% the same as a Wave 125S so I assume the Wave 125S of the same year would have electric start too.
  9. Does it have a kick starter? If yes, then I would not repair/replace until it fails. Failure may never happen during your ownership. There is some parts availability on most Honda starter motors. I have just rebuilt a starter motor on a twenty year old Honda Wave by fitting new brushes. The job is pretty fiddly but it saves a lot of money compared with replacement.
  10. If you must buy this sort of thing the 911 Dakar would be a better choice.
  11. So you run it in. Like any other car.
  12. Speaking as somebody born in Abingdon I find this profoundly dishonest.
  13. That is true. There are many areas the Ranger lacks capability.
  14. A large percentage of pickups get used in the same way as a car. Given the OP lives in Bangkok I suspect that is what he is doing. I used to own a Vigo and it was rare that it carried anything heavier than the groceries from Lotus.
  15. Well he won't do that again. No wait. Yes he will!
  16. Please post a link showing that any mass produced car engine is run in at the factory.
  17. I know of other similar examples: Suzuki Thailand Thai language owner's manual first service - 1000km Suzuki Thailand English language owner's manual first service - 15000km Manufacturers are, however, pretty consistent in terms of what they say about engine running in/break in procedure.
  18. I usually end up holding it between my knees when at the checkout to have both hands free. Unfortunately that leaves me immobile until I finish faffing about with money and purchases. Do you, by any chance, have any links on the whole helmet coolness thing. Videos, support groups, whatever...????
  19. I prefer the Honda Wave type transmission to CVT but the point you make about the under seat storage is a good one. I too use an Arai full face and leaving it parked on a mirror isn't a good option so I walk around with it like a numpty.
  20. The type of transmission used on the Honda Wave and Finn was pioneered in the 1960s by Honda on the C50. It has evolved and undergone refinement in the sixty years since then. It is pretty much bulletproof and very easy to use. To take one example the Wave 110i actually has two clutches; one is centrifugal and actuated by rpm and the other is a conventional multiplate wet clutch which is actuated by moving the gear lever. The two clutches act seamlessly together.
  21. Here's an idea. Do what it says in the owner's handbook.
  22. But, like you, I am surprised that they issued a Thai licence based on production of an IDP. The IDP has minimal security features. I would have expected them to require production of the UK licence.
