Respect to you sir, Kadilo. Oh ME of little faith. Every comment correct.

It's not the first time BB. Must have more confidence in the lads. You must be a 'glass half empty' person.

According to S-Index, the EPL favouite is City to win it by one point.

What an absolute stonking season. If Pool win on Friday it will be 30 changes for top spot.

Wednesdays game could be a tricky one.

After their dismal performance against Everton they will be pumped up even more going by some of the garbage the likes of Pogba is coming out with.

I still think you got far too much quality for them.

    City to win 1-4.

Thought Jose was taking the piss when he said "Coming second with this team was one of his greatest achievements" sorta makes sense now.

Like it. Hard hitting truthful post.

He knew the team 'punched above its weight' in that season.

Utd, along with Liverpool, Barca, Real M, Ajax, Bayern and a couple of Italians (and Celtic perhaps) are known throughout the football world. Might even put a couple of Londoners in there. But the first two - Utd and Pool - are right up there, and have been for years. So were Villa and Forest a while back though.

A lot of work to be done at Old Traff'. A general clear-out is needed.

I wasn't for OGS getting the job full-time as I thought they should hang on and look for "the best manager in the world" to manage one of the best teams in the world. Having said that he has got the job now and he has to make the best of it but it wouldn't surprise me if United were able to secure a top coach/manager that they would pay him off and let him go.

    Just a couple of points:

Do you think that the Man City manager would move to Utd?

Utd are not one of the best teams in the world; far. far from it. Not even close to being the best in England.

The thing about Utd is that they are genuinely one of the biggest clubs in the world even when they are having a sticky patch.

I agree about OGS. They will pay him off.

very detailed post and agree with most of what you say - Ole has what he was given for now, if he is the man then it will take 2 seasons to get close to what is expected from this icon team - and a lot of dosh that must be spent well - changes are coming

There is nothing easy about the EPL from top to bottom - they got there because they are the best that English football has to offer - lets see what the summer brings - some very hard choices are going to be made and that process has already started which might explain the poor performance - some players already know their ticket is up

Yes smedly, it was a decent post (xylophone's), as is yours.

Jemain Jenus did a hard-hitting piece in the media. I reckon he must have been reading the TVForum Man Utd posts. His main focus was that it was a gutless (my word) performance.

Morinuo said Pogba was 'like a virus'. This guy has to be top of the list to depart. And I don't think anyone will take on Sanchez at 380k a week. The club needs leaders on the pitch. They are searching the world for talent, but 'leaders on the pitch' now that's a different story.

Put the top 6 team's players on the table and make some teams up. Utd would 'maybe' get a player in the 3rd team.

Even blind Freddy can see he is not good enough no more, He should do what Gary Neville did when he realised he was not up to scratch no more, Remember the game at Stoke after that he retired.

    He starts on the bench.

Young came in for a lot of stick a few years back for continually diving.

    Not been the same since.

Ahh.. the dyslexic agnostic who wasn't sure if he believed in a dog.

In that film about the 'son of sam' the murderer insisted that that his dog told him to kill the victims.

Strange world when reality gets mixed with fantasy. And even stranger when people can't tell the difference.

I believe exactly the opposite, you just need to think about anything to make it true.

That's not necessarily, immediately on the physical realm of course.

That's imo, the hidden meaning of "Cogito ergo sum" ( i think therefore i am )

    Great stuff!

I just tried it out. Went outside and saw a buffalo poo poo. Concentrated hard until it turned into an apple pie. Went to grab it but the smell put me off. It had turned back into poo poo.

    Must try harder I guess.

agreed, but not being a follower of any religion doesn't mean necessarily mean that one doesn't believe in the existence of "God" or a godlike entity.

Anyone can believe what they like; but it doesn't make what they believe in true.

If it wasn't for indoctrination of children, religion might well have died out by now.

Davis Icke says religion is delusional at best and mental illness at worst. Tend to agree with that.

I live on the dark side (to the East) and the temperature on my patio has regularly been hitting 40 to 41 degrees.

    Me too.

Very warm here, but easy to get used to it. If you understand warm weather. Drink plenty of water and wear a hat when you go out running. Don't over do it on the cross country biking; as i did a while back on the mountain bike. Keep sex to a reasonable time. Last week I timed myself pleasuring the wife; 4 hours 15 minutes 20 seconds. Just too long. But that time did include the pre-sex financial negotiations and the sleep afterwards.

Fans. Yes those things that blow air about. Use them with caution. Don't become reliant on them. Better to have two facing each other about one metre apart and stand between them; but only for about 30 seconds. Then go for a little walk and repeat.

Udon Thani will hit the mid-40s this week. Be prepared guys.

If I had thought, I'd would have tried a glass of cider and lager (snakebite), but at the time its welfare was the last thing on my mind.

Ok Vogie. Humour! I like it, but watch out tonight. Cobras not only have long bodies, but long memories.

Make sure you know where the anti-venom shop is.

I caught a snake 2.4 metres long a couple of years back.

Not a cobra, but moved fast across the field. I had to run flat out to keep up with it. It turned and reared up. I feinted to go to the left but went to the right. Grabbed its tail and guided it to the house.

All this is fine and good. I find it rather amusing.

But, does Thailand really think they would get away with putting this guy to death and suffer no consequences to Thailand?

Yes, I reckon they would. It would not really put Thailand in a good light, but would signify intent; don't mess with us or you will die.

Just how would the Thai authorities put these two people down? Firing squad?

Had some cobra eggs hatch in my yard a number of years ago.  Lost one dog to a bite, and I saw another of the dogs get bit, so I rushed him to the vet for anti venom and he survived.

You really don't want young cobras hanging out in your yard getting hounded by hounds.

We lost a dog to a cobra on the farm.

I have seen the snake twice. First time I was on a ladder and the second time I was up a water tower. That time it stopped alongside a PVC pipe so I was able to judge the size accurately. I slowly made my way down to ground level to catch it, but it must have sensed me and slithered off to the mango farm.

What about when you realize you have run out of shampoo, laundry detergent, toothpaste or whatever ... do you refuse to buy them at the 7/11 just on principle?

    Yes!

You either have principles or you haven't.

I also have family here whom I'm not prepared to abandon

    I'm the same.

I have a 7 metre deep well at the farm. It is stacked out with food and bottled water. I reckon that i could live down there for a month. By that time the anti-farang gangs might have moved on.

Also to be considered is the underground torture chambers at the Voice of America broadcasting station on the 2022. A nuclear strike would render a great deal of Isaan uncomfortable to be in. These would be a top target if it gets really nasty.

I have a contact in Bung Ran, and he has access to a boat for getting across the Mekong river. Passports will be useless. Once the people are fragmented it will be survival of the strongest.

Of course, if the US dollar collapses then the ATMs will not deliver money and the banks will be closed anyway. Those with access to gold will be in a stronger position but having a large supply of fuel will be as good as money.
