All we know from the links provided, is (per you link) they decided how to select the models, twenty years after the models were developed, and all we know from placeholder's link is that something over half of the models selected were reasonably accurate.

They do make billions. But the market models work the same as climate change models. They build multiple models, and run them with different inputs, and then point at the ones that are correct.

I have not had great success with my Fidelity ATM that refunds fees working everywhere. It seems to work at bank ATMs but often not at private ones.

Some of them were correct, just like some of the market models were correct. The modelers point at the ones that were correct.

It's easy to find any number of old market models that have predicted the market as well.

I think it safe to say that the Earth's climate is more complex than the US stock market, yet no one has been able to build a model that accurately, and consistently predicts the market.

If you have a US credit card that has NO foreign transaction fees they're great. I pay for most everything with credit card. If your US credit card does charge a fee, best to not use it, as it will tack on typically 3% Some vendors also charge a fee, (again, often 3%) so be sure to check.
