  1. In his first sentence the OP makes comparisons between Thailand and his home country. Hence IMHO the topic is about the ‘top 5 things you like most about Thailand not found in your home country’. Of course you can swim all year in warm weather, have cheap accommodation, massages, rent etc in many other countries, but definitely not in the home country of the vast majority of contributors to this thread.
  2. I never said anything about: • the closest beaches to BKK being any better than those found in SCA - or anywhere else for that matter. • using a car to travel around BKK instead of using BKK’s transit system. • cars increasing in value. My BKK condo includes undercover car parking.
  3. Owning a car in Bangkok gives you convenient access to some beautiful, nearby islands and coastal towns. Only an absolute idiot would not know that.
  4. So, because the topic is about Thailand and I clearly pointed out that fast internet was available in some other countries, not just in Thailand.
  5. You evidently didn’t read the post properly because I didn’t mention anything about Australia.
  6. The question was about Thailand. FYI electric gates, sofas, beds, coffee machines and fast internet can be found in some other countries as well.

  11. If she accepted it and your relationship with your daughter didn’t suffer, then good for you! However, interested in hearing from those whose daughter’s did not approve. Still not talking with the daughter? What about her children (the grandkids)? Miss not knowing them? Did other family members take the side of your daughter?

  14. Thanks mate, appreciate the phone call suggestion and once again, have no doubts it is true, but regardless of what their staff tell me I would still like to see where it’s written on their website first. Until then I’m more than happy to stay put and keep flying TGF here. She loves it here for some reason ????‍♂️ ???? Here:
  15. I have read this many times so it must be true, but until I can see it on the C’link site I’m not prepared to risk going back to see Mrs N in LoS. Please share the link if you ever see where it says you can go abroad for say 2 x 2 weeks during your 2 years pension detention without it impacting anything ????
  16. BazzBall, where the last 6 wickets go for 9 runs. Genius.
