Most people can choose their friends who they are comfortable with. I could had many western friends in Thailand, but I choose not to. I know many in same situation, they choose not to be to much social while in Thailand, except it is a friendship based on neutral ground. Like regular meeting at a bar, do some sports, or just driving motorbikes. Real friends who visits each other in their private homes, doesnt happen as much as when I am back in my home country.

I have only two thai friends during my time in Thailand. One climber and one chef, and both benefits from my friendship as well I benefit from them. However Im not climbing anymore, but we still in touch, and also see each other when our paths crosses. The chef I go driving motorbikes together with, so not only his culinary skills that attracted me to him. All the female friends I had, is gone to other directions, new bf, husbands, and also dissapeared when I got a new gf/wife.

Just checking, how many sexes is it, and how many sexes should we allow? I agree everyone should be allowed to say they feel like non binery, or what ever thay want to be in their mind, but nobody can force me to accept it, or? Basically how I did it before I had my right to retirement visa. Travelled back home for work every 2-3 monts while it was 30 days exemption only. Never had a problem, but I stayed out for at least one month each time or more. Regulary 3-4 months in Thailand and 1 - 2 months back home. I will leave my retirement to now as well, but Im wondering if I can get extension from retirement visa on emigration or I have to leave the country.

when everyone beliefes whatever they want, it doesnt benefit the society. People get lost and the nature of the controversy is more damaging than a little bit control of the media and the news and fact stream to ordinary people. Religion is an good example how easy people is manipulated in to so many true and convinsing beliefs, as well the history of snake oils people is willing to pay for. Most people need guidance, and those who do not think so, needs it more than anyone else, but they really do not know it themselves.

As much total censorship is bad, total free speech is damaging and dangerous for the society. FB have become together with youtube and X the worst channels for misinformation and fake news. Nobody knows what to believe anymore. I see less harm in How covid have been handled for many reasons including Vaccines than what these channels do to peoples minds on daily basis 24/7 If a society going to succeed, and make most people pull in the same direction for everyones best, there need to be some kind of contralled stream of officially facts and news. As it is now, it is no middle ground anymore to make good solid decissions for everyones best.

Im not an cyclist in Thailand, but if I where, I would use colours and also light on the bike, same as I use in Norway. Why not?
