Maybe the reason for russians to keep the conflict going to make sure they would not join Nato. Background information of Ukraine working for Nato membership. Relations between Ukraine and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) started in 1991 following Ukraine's independence after the dissolution of the Soviet Union.[1] Ukraine first joined NATO's Partnership for Peace program in 1994, later joining the Planning and Review Process in 1997 and the NATO-Ukraine Commission in 1998. Although Ukraine initially declared neutrality and non-alignment with military blocs after independence,[2] it later signaled interest in eventual NATO membership. After Russia's annexation of Crimea and support for separatist forces in eastern Ukraine in 2014, Ukraine began actively pursuing NATO membership, formally declaring it a strategic policy objective in 2017.[3 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukraine–NATO_relations -

Trump will not give a penny to Ukraine - Hungary PM Orban
Hummin replied to Social Media's topic in The War in Ukraine
I do not want to prefict anything, more using the available historic facts when it comes to earlier interventions, and economic embargos. This war is totally different because Zelenskyj decided to stay, and not run! Now we/they Usa and Eu have to finish what we started! Continue to support Ukraine as long they want to fight. Putin is in for the long run, and will not give up the new boarders or Crimea, unless The Russians replace him! China have time, and will wait until the right time to start their move in the South China sea. They have no rush. -

Do people know what they really want, and if they do, do they strive to get it? The majority of people have their heads in Meta and Tik Tok or other social media, often called their heads up where the sun never shines! Giving up Ukraine as continuing the slaughters is both wrong, but as long this war have more than two parts with interests, ceasefire is still a long shot away. If this was just about Ukraine and Russia, the war would had been over after months. Based on Georgia war which lasted 16 days only. -

Talking about safety? Rather take my chances on a big bike

If you cant drive motorbike, or dont trust yourselves, neither see the risk versus the gain, dont do it. Had my best time in Thailand on motorbikes, wouldn't change that for anything. Met quite few I regularly rode with (40 -50 people at least), and as far I know, none of those crashed yet, or been in serious accidents. We talking people with 100 of thousands of km experience on thai roads. However at least or more than 10 people I have met have died of alcholism or poor general health because of their lifestyle. We talking about people below 70 years. And several others, continue their slow suicide bored to death, living the "dream in paradise" Anyway, motorbike is not for all, and if there was riders we saw as a risk, we never rode with them again.

Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
Hummin replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
Historically it is a understandable tactical and important move for Russia, meaning Ukraine have a strategic important role and also important resources for their stability and growt. Loosing the control of the neighborhoods is a defeat for russias position in the world. -

One good thing about Putin, if you can say it is a positive thing thats up to each and one to decide. He have awakening up all the allies from the glasnost sleep, where everyone thought the whole world could be friends, and we all would manage to live side by side and continue to fight poverty and share all resources equally at the same time manage to grow a fear economy for each and one world wide! The world doesnt function that way, and finally each and one Nato member striving to reach 2% mark of GDP for their defense spending. Still a long way for Sweeden and Finland, both training and equipment, but it is a start. So I have to give Trump right in one thing, even it was for him just business, to push hard on Nato members, to implementing Us made weapon systems and technology. Empires falls because of internal conflicts, and Putin maybe saves us from internal destruction by showing himselves as the true enemy he is. -

Im aware of both sides propaganda. Do you claim Putin have almost 88% backing from his own people in the election? Only tyrans and dicttors have such numbers
