  1. I live happy not knowing, it could ruin my life and my total freedom in this life
  2. Most people do not understand science behind the biggest questions here in life, and Einsteins theories with more is still being studied and continues to be proved or tried failed. And my concern is people who laughing and constantly dismissing physics science as bull pie at the best. After my best understanding, if there is a godly force, there must be possible to prove it physically to, not only spiritually? I know there is studies trying to prove god, and also spiritually. I see my previous post was not as accurate it should have been, so my bad. Still our own body and brain is fantastic tools you can meditate, fasting and many more things and experience wonderful things, Im aware of that as well which I tried to explain. The questions is, when we release and let loose our chemicals in our brain, is it spiritually reasons, or is it just chemicals manipulated to be released either by our self or by a teacher/coach. Thats where Im unsure why it happens, and why we are so easily manipulated. What is the reason behind it, and trust me, hours reading, self testing, experiences with coaches, I still not sure, but one thing is very clear, and it is for some people addictive. For some good and for some not so good and very much same as any stimulus you should have respect for. Im open for both parts, spiritually forces, a god, random happenings, myself creating my own destiny in a complexed in a complexed where randomly happenings force we to make choices, rething, restart, and do it all over again. However Im not easily convinced and as said, and I have no fear dying without knowing and for me, the most important to succeed with, is to have a good life on this planet, and try to contribute with some positivity even some say Im a bit to stubborn (not so different from the one here calling me stubborn would I say) same same but still different.
  3. Im happy for you have found your way and your god. No I do not feel any guilt anymore and have a good relation to myself and my nature, therefor no need of guilt. My comfort is dust to dust ashes to ashes and is the most true words said or written ever.
  4. My impression is, when people do not understand science and the terms for science, some easily jump to alternative theories that in best case is ideas, and not anything that can be proved. A good mix with fantasy and visions after long term meditating, fasting, intake of different substances or a mix of some of mentioned or all together. However, I have many times said in this thread, we have our own physical universe inside us, so it is easy to get lost in our own chemical natural experience if you practice long enough, or have special gifts and it comes naturally easy. It is hard to say specific what creates this individual experiences and also sometimes quite remarkable having same experiences often led by some teacher or also psychologists. I had or we as a team had a unison experience with a psychologist who took the whole team on a specific journey all together to the very same place and same experience with nothing else than systematic words put together and created a wonderful experience for all of us. Imagine 9 people on the same experience just by one man leading us. Fantastic right?
  5. You don't know you need it or how beneficial it is before you got it. Simple as that And we know how the different laws, rules, regulations and requirements difference throughout Thailands different official offices. For me it is beneficial and make my life easier in Thailand. I also got approved translated versions of my house book, which will help my process in getting family reunion with my now wife in EU, as well we used it to get a valid one year Schengen tourist visa before we got married meaning multiple entries in one year.
  6. What is the benefits of believing? I read a nice piece of text from Bhagavad Gita where someone asked the question. One simply replied with this qoute, and I googled the qoute and got alot more to read. There are no disadvantages of believing in God, only disadvantages What does it mean to you believing or not, and why you choose to believe in something or not? To me it means everything, but first of all it means gratitude and respect for the nature, even I'm part of the problem, which seems the be one of the conflicts humans have no matter what they believe in, there is contrasts and guilt involved! Do non believers feel guilty in the same way as believers? Just to again describe, I believe in what we see and what surrounds us and what we can touch and feel and what we physically are dependen on to live a physical life on this planet. The Nature which we are part of as everything else around us. Does non believers feel more freedom?
  7. Sorry my mistake. I got my yellow book by being registered at her fathers house.
  8. I was first in her father's yellow book and when finely finished house, I was transferred in to her blue book, most likely they did not have anymore yellow books, but only speculations from my side. I was not even present, but it was same guy who gave me the yellow book first time.
  9. I'm also in my wife's blue book, and we are not supposed to I read, but I am, so you can!
  10. Buddhism is big company selling hope and future happiness and good luck.
  11. Great civilations even in Africa have rised and falled, and thats one of the few absolutes truths wevhave. The question is, why do great civilations finely implode often from inside threats, for then finely be overtrown by other external forces who is more hungry and willing to take higher risks to reach their goals? They had the technology, they had the power but their lines getting stretched at the same time people have been used to their position, wealth and security by keeping the conflicts outside their empire. Alot to learn from earlier great civilations and history.
  12. We are all African monkeys, who came down from the trees. It is difficult to say something about IQ, but the truth is, we have (most of us present here at this fora) less pressure on us to staying alive day to day, and I believe that makes all of us a bit slow, and passed down to next generation, it will dramatically accelerate in the wrong direction unfortunate when society continue to support people who do not produce zero nada nill, and who again pass their living culture to next generation. The same goes for people who heritage wealth not risking anything! Also for those who living in almost total controlled environment kills their creativity responsibility and energy to do something for them selves. Why is Jewish people so creative and innovative as they are?
  13. Can be an interesting read that not much is changing under the sun! Lessons from the Roman Empire about the danger of luxury https://bigthink.com/the-past/lessons-roman-empire-danger-luxury/#Echobox=1663805802
  14. We all have our experiences for good and bad, as well lived a life in Asia as well many other countries. Is there one thing there is to many of, is foreigners who have negative experiences and more than wiling to share them wherever you go especially in Thailand, and also found here at this fora. There is no way you are not warned or going to miss the warnings or the pitfalls. But we all have to make our own experiences, and how we deal with negative happenings, it to be true, very individual.
  15. Listen, hear hear do I sense some positivity from you?
  16. Sometimes it is ok to agree, even we have different views, and yes as Thaibeach says it is a cruel world we live in where the survival of the fittest still rules. I have no problem with that. Still it is ok to have emphasis with people who might feel left out. Everyone have a weak link somewhere or at some time in life, and it definitely shows when traditions becomes more extreme than healthy.
  17. Thats a bold statement, and a very naive statement. First google link out of many showing how holidays can negatively impact people According to the American Psychological Association, 38% of people surveyed said their stress increased during the holiday season, which can lead to physical illness, depression, anxiety, and substance misuse https://www.mcleanhospital.org/essential/mcleans-guide-managing-mental-health-around-holidays
  18. You can not think of other solutions to make the world a bit brighter than religious and other forced traditions that also makes parts of people feeling left out of many different reasons?
  19. Small tastes of vanilla ice cream is ok, but better to buy proper dog snacks! Making ice cubes with fruits to mine. Loves mango which is safe for dogs
  20. I really do not like traditions for myself forced to follow a fixed pattern and be exited and happy for it. I think I would enjoy some traditions if it was for the right reasons, like mid summer holiday, and not celebrating christmas because of jesus, when it originally was to celebrate it was the darkest time of the year, and the sun would turn back and the spring would finely arrive around what we now call easter, which have completely changed dates from it’s orign. I understand traditions is important to keep societies and make people feel affiliations and belonging to their homes, family and tribes. To me it feels a bit forced on and being a very impulsive and flexible man who can change my mind and plans while I go, it is a disturbing factor, and as well hate to spend money on stupid things some traditions involves. However local traditions is usually good for the local economy. Edit note: Being traveling and working all my life, and maybe therefor I feel so strong about it, especially sitting in the middle of the sea Christmas eve, and the present crew tried to make it as cosy as home. Full dressed up, decoration’s , foods, entertainment where they brought in priests and famous people, and also other social gatherings for those who was not working night shifts. I especially remember my first Christmas In Malaysia and Dubai, that felt a bit awkward, and as Quite shocked about American Christmas traditions which is quite over the top.
  21. I have to agree with you, The Queen is/was probaly the most likable known person in the world, at least among English celebrities! Mr Bean a strong nr 2
  22. A ticket out of Thailand is always good to have when you check in, and as well boarding the plane. I have been asked if I had a ticket several times when booking return with another airline.
  23. I always have photo copies with me on my phone's of every important paper. I'm not Original poster btw.
  24. I have been travelling quite alot without passport, but it is always some places giving you hassel for not bringing it. Koh Phangan the police waiting for us foreign passenger who was walking, and specific for passport. Taking picture of front page and visa page. Same as i needed to register with passport when arriving with car. Most hotels chains require also passport now, but local smaller resort is often happy with DL.
  25. Fairy tale or not, it is an accepted factum among the more supposedly god-fearing morally people on this planet. Not that I believe they always practice what they preach but with some common sense we all know and can separate wrong and right doing, even some mongers preach something else. It comes down to if they had daughters themselves they really cared for or not and have just a tiny little bit common sense and emphasis.
