  1. I am an Indian food fan, but not in Pattaya, because none taste authentic, or even tasty! The ONLY place in Pattaya that IMHO is authentic Indian, and really worth dining at, is Patiaala House, inside Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel, on Jomtien 2nd Road, near the turning to the beach (it is fairly new, and not well-known, but their Bangkok Branch has been doing well for years).
  2. As a hotelier, I can tell you that just about any hotel will give you a room for a monthly rate which is around half of it's daily rate. But you will spend a lot of money on room service, laundry, etc., if you are not careful.
  3. There is no way the motorcycle should have parked in that walkway, and if she had parked too close to the car for him to get out, she deserved the slap.
  4. Mind-blowing that a guy can mix together some ingredients for a drink, and get that rich.
  5. Cat was already half dead due to the dog attack. The guy cooked and ate the nearly dead animal. They want to prosecute this poor garbage collector because he was hungry? How about someone prosecute the owner of the cat for allowing it out through negligence?
  6. I think it comes down to the Ministry of Transport, who I assume is responsible for setting the fines and punishments for traffic offences. For instance, I believe the current fine for running a red light is 500 baht (which can kill many innocent people instantly), and the fine for not wearing a helmet is 2000 baht, which will only kill the idiot not wearing one.
  7. So, who is going to jail for this 40 million baht farce?
  8. Wanted a break from the scene in Pattaya, especially Indians, so went to Krabi last week to be shocked to find even more Indians there! Finally asked one of them, why they were all there, to be told there are direct flights from India to Krabi, who would have guessed?
  9. Completely agree, and it's ridiculous that you have to visit numerous sellers to get "your" numbers!
  10. First, a gram of heroin is only 300 baht in Thailand? And secondly, this older fellow decided to risk the rest of his life behind bars for 1 million baht? None of this makes sense to me!
  11. Sorry for my ignorance, I drive a car, and on the odd occasion that I was on a paid bike ride, I guess I was drinking in excess, so did not notice the lack of uniform. Just assumed that grab drivers also wore a jacket like the food delivery guys LOL! Thanks for the education guys!
  12. Do these Prime Ministers of these countries not have a shred of intelligence between them? Casinos in Cambodia are as mentioned, mostly along the border, drawing mostly locals from both countries, and very few foreigners. The Casinos planned for Thailand are (or should be) are geared towards rich farangs, and located near airports. Completely different customers, no competition that I can see, at least, not worth the sh*te slinging that is going on now....

  14. On line 6 of the story. But the more interesting question is why are there no bolt or grab jackets visible?
  15. Canisters of oxygen are only a couple hundred bucks on Lazada, invest in some asap, they could save your life if you're about to faint or something. And see a doctor.
  16. I really hate that shooter, not because he tried to kill trump, but because it was his botched attempt that probably resulted in all the sympathy votes that made this stupid clown president.
  17. I really wonder about these "people" who never seem to have read the news, ever? How many times have we heard about people getting screw*d at various airports all around the world for just mentioning that word?
  18. Thank you for the info. I've personally been way too scared to ever try it, especially after seeing friends get addicted and basically ruin their lives on that garbage: heroin. I think instead of trying to stop it, gov'ts should realize the impossibility of it, (making it even more worthwhile for dealers because of increased prices), EDUCATION is key, especially to youth. IF there was a fraction of the amount spent in trying to stop the movement of these dangerous drugs, spent in educating the youth, possibly using their "heroes" like pop-stars, movie actors, etc., and telling the truth, which is, heroin/fentanyl will destroy your lives, but ganja, etc., does NOT kill you, nor does it even affect you that badly, the youth would be able to make an INFORMED decision, which they are not provided with, until now, because gov'ts treat ALL drugs equally, catch/jail/etc. without showing ANY difference to their VERY different consequences on kid's lives.
  19. Sorry, I should have mentioned "many" other banks. I have 3 Thai accounts, Kasikorn, Bangkok Bank, and SCB. For me, only Kasikorn has consistently been within seconds. I believe somebody above mentioned that Kasikorn is Wise's main bank in Thailand, and I suppose that would be the reason for my experiences.
  20. Totally agree, but there is a world of difference between fentanyl/heroin and cocaine! If you try heroin, I believe you are hooked immediately, and almost invariably become an addict (no personal experience, but from what I've read, and from people who have done it). From personal experience, I spent a good 15 days with some friends in South America, doing coke daily, and sometimes copious amounts! Got on the flight home, and apart from some slight depression over the next few days, there was NO overwhelming urge to go and find some, and get high again, when back home and back to normal life! I know that coke is a recreational drug, and you don't NEED to do it daily. Not so with heroin. They need to be treated differently by authorities, IMHO.
  21. Can somebody please explain to me why almost all drug busts have ketamine (a downer) and also methamphetamine, (an upper)? Don't both drugs have totally opposite reactions?
  22. I think you missed the point, I think Rutte was being sarcastic, alluding to Trump's mistaken belief that he is the king of the world.
  23. My friend, a LOT more children worldwide are affected by alcoholic parents, than those addicted to drugs! Alcoholic addiction is rampant everywhere, whereas drug addiction amounts to a small percentage of the population in almost all countries. You, or any politician, wanting to help children of addicted parents, should try to do something about alcohol first, before setting your sights on mainly recreational drugs like coke, which is restricted to wealthy individuals.
  24. Please explain. That girl is going to need a lot more than 1.1 million to not only have a home built, but also to finish schooling and her regular living expenses for the next 5-10 years until she graduates IMO.
  25. I read that as restaurants can now stop the BS of not selling from 2-5 PM! An improvement IMHO. You wont believe the amount of times I've been refused a glass of wine or a beer during lunch at nice restaurants, especially in malls, if I choose to have lunch at 2:05 PM!
