  1. Perhaps the first of many murican made items soon to be returned to sender. Hope the depression comes sooner than later to the states, so the people will rise up and throw this <deleted> out of his "office" of buffoons!
  2. It is extremely sad to see the amount of uneducated, depressed souls on this forum. The take away from this is that the criminals were caught in a very short time frame, by the Thai police. Compare to MANY other countries in this region, including India, and you would be reading about dead victims, or worse! Really? The police did nothing??? The victims are free, no ransom was paid, and it was done in short order. Sad to see so many of you dissing the place, but choosing to live here.
  3. Funny they're talking about the 2028 election! Dollars to donuts, Trump & Co. (Vance included) are going to be thrown out WAY before that election year, probably by the end of THIS year! Anybody care to bet real money, send me a PM.
  4. Don/Bob, you are obviously trying to figure out how to escape from Thailand illegally by making up these funny stories. Your above post proves it. What did you do wrong?
  5. A 58 year old man does not usually "forget" his luggage at an airport. Charge him for the inconvenience of shutting down the airport etc.!
  6. Common sense would dictate that at these police roadblocks, there would be a bit of an obstacle course, perhaps driving around some cones on the road, and if you don't hit any, off you go! Hit one, and blow into a machine. Methinks a LOT faster than stopping everybody and questioning them, which wastes time!
  7. The other side to this story is a guy who has saved up for a while for his "holiday" in Thailand, and now has to deal with bruises, perhaps a "black eye" for the remainder of his holiday, which would personally make me stay in my hotel room until my departure, with many curses towards "safe" Thailand, and of-course, the story told many hundreds of times upon my return to my country. The ongoing repurcussions of such needless violent acts towards innocent tourists causes far greater harm than, I think, the gov't realizes.
  8. Those are the dreaded "tiles" found in many bathrooms! Next time, do try to get a picture of the animal, pls.
  9. It's not the "market" in the US that lost almost 6 TRILLION in the past week, it's the investors, mostly american, that lost that money which was invested in the stock markets! I wonder how these american investors feel about Trump today?
  10. Utter madness to try and kill somebody because of a little noise outside your windows. She should be tried for attempted murder and get a very long time locked up!
  11. Perhaps paid by the US to say this, because they need reasons to bomb Iran's bomb making facilities?
  12. I tip 50 baht. Restaurants, hair cuts, bars, car wash, etc. 20 baht food delivery.
  13. Tipping is NOT a city in China, friend!
  14. You can use hand sanitizer. Might sting.
  15. Chinese people are used to hardships. Americans are not. Let's wait and see when all cheap goods go up in value by 30-40% in the states, and see what happens to Trump and band of lunatics.
  16. Checked ThaiVietJet Air a couple days ago and was surprised to see a bunch of 49 baht fares (after tax less then 400 baht) to many destinations in Thailand)! Booked the family to Krabi in June (school holidays). Nice!
  17. Earthquakes relieve stress along fault lines. After stress is relieved, it takes decades to build up again. Anyone saying there is going to be another earthquake soon, is not an expert, he is an idiot.
  18. AIS is the best for network coverage and speed in Pattaya. GOMO is an off-shoot of AIS, but only available to Thai nationals, extremely cheap, very fast, calls and internet from only 99 baht for a year!
  19. I have always found burgers at all good 5 star hotels quite acceptable, and reasonably priced too!
  20. In Central Pattaya, look around the Avenue Condo area, they are larger than Base etc.
  21. It is never too late to fix things! May be a long and hard road, but as decent human beings, we need to try... hard!
