Lately I've been annoyed at AN using pictures that have nothing at all to do with the topic! Haven't mentioned it till now, but keep thinking, does AN think it's readers are all small children that need a picture, any picture, to be interested in a news story?

That is a given, and something that can not be avoided. But my point was to keep these casinos far away from well populated areas to: 1- Avoid problems of additional traffic in big cities, and, 2- Remove easy access to large local populations in the big cities who will surely lose their life savings in these places, and, 3- Create many additional jobs for locals and Thais from other poorer areas of Thailand, not only in the casinos, but in the many businesses that will pop up nearby, like hotels, restaurants, shops, etc.

Totally agree with Denim. My advice is, rent a mobike for very cheap, drive around local areas that you like, and find the signs on the houses for rent, and give them an offer. Also ask around neighborhoods which you feel you like, at shops or even residents, you may be pleasantly surprised at what you find.

An IDEAL opportunity to uplift some of the low income and less populated areas of Thailand IMO, I sincerely hope that the gov't sticks to their guns and chooses the site(s) and does not allow the operators to choose, or we'll have more traffic nightmares and all sorts of problems in already well populated locations, where the casinos will wish to be (for easy access to customers).

I get the distinct feeling that the entire UTP area is going to undergo a major transformation, with the planned casinos and hotels nearby, and now this.

Same. Use for all things normally charged by USB cable. Never seen one for a laptop (different voltage, probably much higher amperage than magnetic connections can supply).

Because putting it in a speed contest makes it animal cruelty? 1- Almost all mammals can sense human emotions, so in this setting, they would sense the shearer's anxiety, and apprehension, etc. prior to even beginning. 2- Racing to shear makes for a lot more nicks and abrasions than under normal circumstances, causing unnecessary pain and suffering to the animal.

As the report does not mention that the guy was not arrested or charged for either the assault or the videos, it can be assumed that he is indeed "influential" with police, as most club owners are, out of necessity, and he is walking around scot-free.

Really? So a couple guys decide to take the time and effort to prepare these blood and guts bombs and then just hurl them at an unknown couple's home? Methinks the couple know who did it, and there had to be some serious animosity between the two parties, for this to occur.

I think the OP wants to know whether or not she should inform the officer that she is staying with her boyfriend, or lie and tell them she is staying at hotels and has nobody in the states? I would like to know the answer to that question as well. To the OP, my personal advice would be to tell them the truth, give your phone number to her, along with a copy of your passport, address, and long-term visa in Thailand also, to verify what she tells them.
