Apollo 8 Astronaut William Anders Dies in Tragic Plane Crash
CanadaSam replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Kudo's to him, for piloting a plane at 90 years old. But doing a loop maneuver, with the corresponding G forces, at 90? RIP. -
From experience, rarely does a new (silly) policy ever take effect here in LOS. People find loopholes, people pay just a little extra, etc. and the intended (silly) policy is never ever taken seriously by anybody. It's the same with this tax. IF they try to tax people bringing in their 800k for retirement, or those who want to bring in millions to buy condos, etc., IMO it will collapse the economy.

Scammed Thai man finds help from philanthropic Danish investor
CanadaSam replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
"a good deed never goes unpunished" comes to mind, wonder how long it will take the BIB and immigration to delve deeper into his visa and if he has a work permit or not. Why mention this statement in the first place?- 44 replies

Weak Ejaculation: A Mans nightmare ?
CanadaSam replied to CharlieH's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
How do you measure how much sperm there was, when it's inside her, and gets washed out quite soon after? -
Thailand Set to Enforce Stricter Penalties for Drunk Driving
CanadaSam replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The real injustice here is the amount of people who are killed or maimed by drunk drivers. Start by giving them commensurate punishments, don't let them walk away by paying medical bills, etc. Trying to tackle the entire issue of minors being sold alcohol, or the hundreds of thousands of other drunk drivers who don't get into accidents, simultaneously, will make this a non-starter, for sure! -
Pregnant Thai Woman Blackmailed with Secret Footage
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
The woman has hit upon the right method to get action out of the BIB, make it public! I'm pretty sure she will get justice now, and (hopefully) the inactive authorities will be disciplined (somewhat). -

Note to self: Always carry an electric current sensor when visiting amusement parks in Thailand. -
Thailand Moves to Legalise Casinos in Tourism Boost
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yes, great idea, heard it already numerous times, get on with it!!! -
Having some doubts as your being a "man" and asking this question. Where did you go to school? We were taught this and much more in "shop" class, junior high.
-
Yeah, happened to me, just slipped the cleaning lady 1000 baht and she took care of it. We checked out anyway, to avoid any future embarassment. About time they made a "detector" to warn about impending periods!

When Would You Give In to the Torture?
CanadaSam replied to Chris Daley's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
A king lost his favourite elephant in the jungle. He invited all the major police forces from around the world to help find it. The best forces from various countries had no luck. Then the Thai police went in to the jungle and came back with a beaten, broken deer. The deer was shouting, I'm the king's lost elephant!!! -
Loan Shark Couple Surrenders Over Nude Photo Scandal

Do they make this stuff up as they go along? Or is there such a crime listed in the books? -
British Man Allegedly Assaults Thai Village Manager
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Oh, WHEN will these idiots learn that we are GUESTS in this beautiful country? Behave yourselves, it is not hard. Become violent, and you will be named and shamed, and suffer the extremes available in the LOS, plus get thrown out. Live life, enjoy, life is too short to live it violently. -
Just fu^*ing LISTEN. Not so hard to do! People are very interesting, if you try and listen. You may learn something too! (I'm not talking about the GG's on this forum, and their like.)

I wasn't aware, but TBH I did not check. Just was a little frustrated, because I thought finally, a topic that can be of help to me, but there was not a single recommendation to be seen, only that message about "PM"! Sorry.

OP, if you mentioned Terminal 21 because you want to have meals there, it would be wise to stay close by. On booking.com and also agoda.com etc., there is a facility for you to view hotels in "map view" so you can see which hotels are really close to Terminal 21. You can choose which one you like according to price, etc.

Have you not tried the new "invisibility pill"? I can send you one for only 1000 baht.

Dr./Hospital for Hernia surgery in Sisaket/Ubon
CanadaSam replied to srowndedbyh2o's topic in Health and Medicine
If you are having the hernia repair by "mesh" placement, it is not a minor operation (IMO) and you should really be in the best hospital possible. For others, I have recently research costs for this operation, and was shocked to find the average rate in Thailand for hernia repair with mesh is close to $4000 and in India is only around $1000! -
Suspicious. Why a PM, on a topic that many are probably interested in? OP, I would be careful, this fellow seems to not want the rest of us to see whatever he/she suggests to you.

Vancouver was LITERALLY PARADISE before the World Expo in '86 I believe, I grew up there. From water skiing to snow skiing in just under 10 minutes! The cleanest, most beautiful city in world, IMHO! Then the Chinese takeover of Hong Kong took place, and (rich) Hong Kong citizens realized that a Canadian citizenship was available for an affordable price, and many of them went for it, choosing Vancouver to invest in real estate mainly. Property prices went through the roof, and remain there, increasing to well beyond a "regular" Canadian's affordability. It still is, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but there are many alternatives in Canada, smaller cities, many small towns, where things especially housing is much more affordable. Vancouver is now exclusively to be enjoyed by the mega-rich, excepting those that chose to remain in their owned homes, my family being one, who did not pay much attention to the rapidly increasing housing rates, because they owned their own, prior to the price explosion and chose to remain there. For newcomers, please note that even a modest home is now available at a minimum of a million dollars. Regarding weather, Vancouver is the most temperate, with snow only in winter, for a few short months, rest of the year is quite comfortable, unlike most other places in Canada.

New Tax Rules for Expats in Thailand Spark Concern
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
There are BENEFITS from this new regulation: 1- Windfall for neighboring countries who will see a sharp increase in foreigners spending their 180 days each year not in Thailand, 2- Many "tax lawyers" and accountants getting increased business from worried foreigners. Benefits to the Thai Government? I don't see much, rather I see a sharp decrease in local spending by those who decide to go outside Thailand for 180 days, or for those who decide that enough is enough, and change their retirement location to another country. -
Thai Man Arrested for Rape and Infecting Girl with HIV
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
One would think that infecting another with HIV would be even more serious than rape? Does anyone know the charge that applies here in Thailand? A lower piece of <deleted> guy I don't think exists. -
I would not eat them raw, just boil them, or for something really delicious, make an Indian style "dal" with them.
-
It seems that you do not need to incorporate in Thailand because the only benefits are here you could buy land/house and also possibly get a work permit. IMO, Thailand is the least desirable of countries to form a limited company, due to constantly changing rules, high taxation, and stict scrutiny by the authorities. Almost any other should be better for you, I would research neighbors and other options first. I know you can form a company in Delaware, USA without even being present there, and get the most favourable tax rates out of all the states in the USA.
