Trump Urges Followers to View "Screams Before Silence"
CanadaSam replied to Social Media's topic in World News
IMO hamas invaded a neighbor and killed and did worse to innocent human beings. They need to be exterminated, and if the cost is innocents living around and letting hamas play their games unchallenged, so be it. -

Recommend a computer I can order from Lazada.
CanadaSam replied to giddyup's topic in IT and Computers
OP, the specs you posted is for a very fast and decent computer. But, you will have serious problems not being able to use it, because the operating system is still DOS, not Windows. Also, it probably will not have Office or any other required software pre-installed. You can request them. -
Suspect in Sattahip vanishes from police station after alcohol theft
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Funniest story I've heard this week! -
My parents were quite wealthy when we first arrived in Canada decades ago. It was virtually impossible for my mum to try and look after the house, the kids, etc., after being pampered literally like a princess all her life. So, they tried to bring in servants from various countries at various times. This was not cheap, and required a lot of paperwork, and also the giving of personal assurances that the "imported" staff would leave the country when their visa was over. It would never happen. Invariably, no matter how high their salary, there were always family "friends" who would poach them, by offering a higher salary. Or, they themselves would just disappear one day, for greener pastures, never to be seen again (leaving my folks in a bit of trouble for guarantees given on their behalf). So, I can understand taking away their passports, and also limiting their freedom, due to the difficulties in importing and keeping track of domestic staff. What I can not understand, is them being underpaid, by billionaires! At the least, perhaps homes could have been bought for them in their home countries, or monies deposited in fixed deposits for their benefit down the road? Cheating poor people, by extremely rich people, IMO a huge no-no. Throw the book at them!

The Quest for Life Beyond Earth: A Journey Through Time and Space
CanadaSam replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Anybody with the slightest intelligence would immediately realize that with "life" living in such hazardous conditions, even on our own planet, for instance at the bottom of the ocean where the pressure would crush most anything instantly, the cold, and non-availability of oxygen etc., would make it literally impossible for any type of "known" life to exist, but yet it does, amazingly! So, why is so hard to imagine life of all sorts thriving on planets all over the universe? They may not have radios or lasers etc. to communicate with us, but living their lives, I am pretty certain they are! -
Nice kite! Where can I buy one? BTW it's a LOT closer to you, than those distant islands!

Canadian Tourist Robbed During Night in Pattaya Hotel
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
As I was born there, and learnt Canadian history in school, I think it is you who are clueless, honestly, because you are completely going off topic, I was only responding to those who said this guy is not a Canadian, by quoting FACTS that 95% of Canadian are from other countries. If you want to give a history lesson, please also mention that these "ethnic europeans" you speak of, massacred the vast majority of "real" Canadians, using modern weapons (of the day) against sticks and spears, and then finished them off with providing very low cost alcohol in their "reservations" where they were imprisoned. I do not understand your post at all, or how it applies to this guy who was robbed, and who IS a Canadian in every sense of the word. -
Canadian Tourist Robbed During Night in Pattaya Hotel
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Difficult to believe that so many people are clueless about Canadian people. There are vitually no "original" Canadians! Less than 5% of the population claim to be "indigenous", meaning that 95% of Canadians are from other countries, and other parts of the world! -
Joe Biden Favored to Beat Donald Trump in 538 Election Forecast

333 million people, and they can't find anybody better to lead them than (A) a bald faced chronic liar and criminal, or (B) a senile geriatric. Laughable (unless you factor in the seriousness of the issue). -

I have tried the delivery method for healthy simple food, and find it way overpriced! Far easier to simply buy fresh produce at the nearest market, and boil/steam/wok whatever you want. You may even find it cheaper to have a live-in gf do all of this for you, rather than ordering online!

What's the best weed to start as a beginner?

Whatever you try, I will strongly suggest that you not smoke the whole joint at once, because it takes 10-12 minutes to get the "high", so a couple puffs, then relax, listen to soft music and let it kick in. -

A deadly accident on Sukhumvit Road resulting from reckless U-turn
CanadaSam replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Everything meaning a wai and flowers? That is the main and underlying problem here in LOS, that nobody really cares enough to DO anything about this type of injustice! My bet is that driver will be back on the roads again in a few days, doing what they normally do, drive like complete frigging idiots, with impunity.- 41 replies

I am saddened by the wishy washy statements coming from Netanyahu's mouth, he should CLEARLY state that he will kill each and every hamas member, at ANY cost, until the hostages are set free, and immediately. THAT is what a strong leader should do, dam the US and everybody else, save your people who are being tortured, raped, etc. with impunity, while the world watches, and makes useless statements which amount to dik-all.

If you're talking about getting places rather than food delivery, look into Bolt. You'll be pleasantly surprised, I think.

It's mostly useless banter from the two of you bickering and posting arguments between you two that most of us are the least bit interested in! Why don't you get off this post and let us read some informative and interesting stuff, instead of hijacking this post for your petty arguments? Get a room!!!

I disagree. There are similarities between here and Gaza, I think. Everybody here disagrees with a non-voted government, but do they do anything about it? It MAY be the same in Gaza, that most disagree with hamas, but do they do anything about it? One thing we may agree on, is that the general population pays for their inaction.

What Trump Could Do About Vaccines: More Than You Might Think
CanadaSam replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I don't think injecting yourself with bleach can be called a vaccine? -
Does "she" pay the electric bill? I look at an a/c similar to a fridge, do you turn off your fridge at night? I keep mine on 24/7 and it uses very little electricity, never had a bill over 2500! 35 sq. mt. condo. I suppose the thinking behind this is IF you shut the a/c for a number of hours, the room(s) obviously get quite hot, and when you turn it on, the compressor stays on for a very long time (that is what uses max. elec., not the fan part of the a/c) to bring the temp down, therefore negating the benefit of turning it off in the first place. I may be wrong, but it works for me.

Scammed Thai man finds help from philanthropic Danish investor

Just my opinion from reading news reports in the last few months, that we all perhaps need to keep a low profile here in LOS, for a while anyway, being "strangers in a strange land", Lou. Just my opinion, I may well be wrong.
