Apology from Pattaya Pub Guards after Assault on Tourists
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
No, I'm saying it does not have a time or date stamp on it, so it could have been taken while they were on their way to the bar, or even on a different day. I find it EXTREMELY difficult to believe they are walking hale and hearty, after the beatdown that we all watched, Lou. -
Apology from Pattaya Pub Guards after Assault on Tourists
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Lou, give it up already! Do you even realize you are trying to defend a bunch (yes, a bunch) of morons ganging up to repeatedly kick tourists in the head, some apparently with deadly force? And then, pointing to a video of them "walking" home after this encounter as a fact, knowing that it would be humanly impossible to do so??? Give it up, please. Have some sympathy, for at least the guy in the coma, and please don't show videos of him walking home, whilst in said coma, please! -
BTW, I recently ordered both powder and tablets for cleaning washing machines, from Lazada, and they work quite well!

Attempting to repair a complicated piece of machinery having never done it before. Either way too much time on your hands, or your choice of forum name is appropriate (joking).

My Pint of Lager had this foul stench last night...
CanadaSam replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Congrats, so instead of antagonizing everybody on this forum, you have now also made your "mate" lose one of his favourite watering holes, and also managed to make enemies of some bar/restaurant owners in a far corner of LOS. Good to hear you are not only selectively targeting us, and aiming to alienate as many people as you possibly can! Keep going, and do let us know when you need money to pay your hospital bills. -

I'd like to see you take a beatdown similar to what happened to these guys and then see if you can walk home like they are apparently doing in this video, in daylight, in the wrong direction, it was obviously taken before the brawl, you seem to lack even a modicum of common sense, Lou. -
Apology from Pattaya Pub Guards after Assault on Tourists

NO WAY the video taken of the 3 guys walking together was taken AFTER the incident, one is in a coma, and after the beating the other took, it would simply not be physically possible for them to "walk", anywhere, I am quite sure of that! Add to that the fact that one of them (the guy with the unpaid bill) absconded and was not even around, they cheerily meet up again and skip back to their hotel, all smiles, and in daylight, when the beating took place at night? This video is OBVIOUSLY dis-information thrown out there by either the bar or the authorities to make the public anger die down, and I'm ashamed that a few of us are helping spread this fake video, showing the 3 them as hale and hearty. Use common sense, fellas! -
Could not read due to a headache caused by a lack of paragraphs. Unfortunate. Was actually interested.

Are you Dehydrated ? what you need to know
CanadaSam replied to CharlieH's topic in Health and Medicine
I was told long ago to recognize dehydration by "pinching" a part of your skin. If it does not revert back into it's normal shape immediately, get help! -
Lived in central London for a couple of years in the early 80's. Virtually no crime to be seen anywhere. There probably was, but far less than today. Therefore, one is left with the only explanation for the explosion of crime is the concurrent explosion in the intake of "refugees" from third world countries. Not say that all crime committed today is by immigrants, but perhaps the local lads are also learning and being influenced by these newcomers who had a rough life in their childhoods? I can not see why the authorities don't simply put ALL immigrants/refugees on a 5 to 10 year "watch list", where if there is ANY crime by ANY member of the family, the entire family is immediately deported. The family can keep the young ones in check. Simple solution.

Methinks this may not be just a spy satellite, perhaps it is a response to the recent launch of an "anti-satellite" machine by the Ruskies? -
Golf cart - drive on road in Thailand?
CanadaSam replied to spambot's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
I've seen stranger home made contraptions plying the roads here in LOS.... but I think you would have to be Thai to get away with it! -
Thai Boy Rescued After Father’s Abuse Over Religion Choice
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
You may be right, because my GF's daughter (now my daughter) converted to Christianity a few years ago, and none of her family (all Buddhist) had anything negative to say about it! -
As a couple of people have mentioned, the medicine the OP requires is freely available at many pharmacies. I, however, have to visit the hospital every couple of weeks, and pay the doctor's consultation, and then I can only buy it in the hospital pharmacy (not available outside), and I'm talking about mild sleeping medication!

Not accepting foreign credit cards
CanadaSam replied to maxx58's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
The guys at the top, trying their damndest to increase tourism to Thailand are SO disconnected from the general population, and foreigners in particular, that NOBODY in charge has realized that a foreign tourist basically has no other option than to carry cash at the risk of losing it, getting robbed, etc. etc. Oh, I long for the day that a small light goes on within these leaders heads, and they realize that a Pre-Paid Debit Card which you can puchase at the airport, with a limited validity (say perhaps 30 days) for all foreign visitors would make Thailand a much more attractive destination to all foreigners, especially the first time travellers, of which there are many, coming from places like China and India. -
6,000 Baht Transfer Error Stirs Legal Controversy
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Oh! The arguments with my "better half" about this issue! I have to keep on reminding her, loudly, to GET THE DAMN NAME, not only the phone number for PromptPay, because it is SO easy to simply enter one numeral wrong and end up with a world of pain trying to recover the money!!! -
Thailand Faces Economic Question: China and EV Cars
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
They use litres, not gallons here, and also kilometres, not miles. My car has a display of how many km per litre I am getting (Honda Jazz). If you had used the local figures, I could have compared it to mine, and then, my next question would be, what type of vehicle do you have? Both would have been far more helpful for all of us reading this forum, we are not all from the states, Bob! -
Centenarian couple in Trang share secrets to longevity

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does the above imply that she had her first child at 12 years old? Child at 12, and marriage at 17, strange....
