It's nothing to do with any politics or what so ever.
The point is that there are mad extremists, haters on all sides...west, east, far east....these scum just use anything as an excuse to evacuate their hate and frustrations of a miserable existence. Should they be whites, muslims, asians what ever.
Politics, religion or ideology have absolutely nothing to do in this case, as it plainly a matter of uneducated, frustrations and despair from a low social existence.
And that's perhaps where nations should tackle the problem, in doing all that is possible to reduce the social gap as much as they can, no matter where in the world.

More immigration hassles.....less visitors will want to come....and then they do not understand why tourists and foreigners numbers drop ? They really get a kick out of all these hassles....

Somebody obviously knew.....
...but one can understand as obviously the victims did not have a foreign exchange account in a Thai Bank to wait till the disastrous exchange rate of the THB improved......and how to trust the Thai banks also ?....... looks that the best option is to carry it along all over, though definately not safe....hope it works out for the victims....????....... large amount of CCTV cameras all over a house and in rooms can dissuade... ?

Good move from the UK.
Many highly specialised IT, engineering institutions, medical colleges etc. etc. in the EU are rightfully letting non EU students come to study, who are brillant, and when they get their degrees or PhD, they are asked to leave !!!
Stupidity from the EU after having trained some of top the brains of the globe, are loosing valuable professionnals who exceed in their specialisations. Most end up happily in the firms of Sillicon Valley or in top class specialised institutions in Switzerland.

Mercs and BM's got their way after all ?

Why is there always a Thai girl hanging around in the condo-highrise-balcony-jump saga ?
RIP nevertheless. ????

Also visited a few years ago. Polite and warm people all over, honest taxi drivers...yes did not try any hanky panky as in Thailand....great food...marvelous girls...the bar scene is not that openly scattered all over as in Thailand, but definately some night life spots in Istambul in the Beyoglu area are sheer world class and one feels totally free to go playing around. ????
But just stay from discussing anything political....in fact talk nothing political at all....in your own interest ????

Agreed. Which is why it is so important to galvanise public opinion against the irresponsible roll-out of 5G. Once it is up and running, it will be too late.
Not sure that public uproar will prevent anything....at most it may delay.

Unfortunately, money will win again over public health issues.....should it be in Thailand, in Europe or anywhere else. And once again the UN, the WHO and numerous other highly costly governmental institutions are plainly cosmetic and useless to make any concrete changes.....????

met a Brit yesterday. A couple of friends wanted to visit Thailand for a 3 month stay. When they heard what they were required to provide, their reaction was 'screw this, we'll go somewhere we're wanted'.
Sorry for your friends.
Nobody seems to care for services in Thailand, from the authorities to real estate dealers. Once they get your money, it's bug off !!...Pity as keeping good relationship brings in more money from the regulars. But it needs some clarity of thought to apply...

Scary...guess it's like everything else in Thailand when it comes to handing over money ?....only put in what you can afford to loose.....mainly in banks and on buying property.....and women of course ????

They're talking about European investors here, serious money investors, big corporate money stuff, not, I will open a noodle stand investors!
Noodle stand ? You know there are retirees with a pension that can envy many regular professional salaries, who buy villas with pools for their retirement ? You may not be fully aware of the context ? Visitors in Thailand are not just the gogo bar mongerer or the prospects looking to earn here by opening another girlie joint...????

On reading all the paperwork, photocopies required for a simple renewal....and then the authorities are suprised people do not want to come to Thailand, foreign visitors number drop...
.....like it or not, the retirees who live in Thailand are an influential group and do have a part to play in the picture. Why would retirees want for instance their friends or family to come over to visit, if half the time is spent in pleasing the whimes of the immigration forms for declaring visitors etc. etc etc.

This plainly shows how smart Trump is....like him or not....he's not imposing baseball or NFL !!!.......he's participating in the national sport madness of the area....and wisely....as India is one of the fastest booming economies in the World and all set to be a superpower within the next decades....weather the haters or the Sad Sack's like it or not ????.....Smart move Mr Trump, great for business deals to come.

Worse figures are to be expected with the lack of tourists due to mainly the over strong Thai Bhat, the CoronaVirus, the flagrant immigration hassles...and all the rest unfortunately....pity !

Not sure if the amount would suffice to get into the force...but definately enough for starting level cops, to get a small promotion for sure...

Ok fine so how about giving a 10 year visa free, with no hassles for re-entry, reporting 90 day etc etc to all those who have purchased property in Thailand ? For a start....????...and allow foreigners to own their individual piece of land purchased with the house....if not, no more farang will dare risk his hard earned money in Thailand....sorry...

Another great post. But do u think they really care. They seem to be focussing only on Chinese.
And as per my observation Chinese your groups spend a lot of money buying thai products. I have seen them with multiple plastic bags with thai made eatables, snacks, dried fruits etc.
Very true Sir. and you are right, as the price would really need to be a bargain to make a Chinese spend for goods in a retail mall abroad.

A bit like in Egypt around the pyramids and similar, when the terror outbreaks took over on the high profile tourist areas...all the top
cheatstourist guides were out of business. -

You don't travel to Thailand to buy legal insurance there. You buy it in your home country before you get on the plane.
Obviously,
But there are people living here for who Thailand is their home country.

It is not enough to make foreigners want to come.
They need to be treated well so that they will come back
Prices in the country need to be cheaper and goods of better or equivalent quality as back home, if you want foreigners to spend in Thai malls.
The THB must be sold at a cheaper rate. Actually Thai Bhat far to high.
Taxis, restaurants, service providers must be educated as to behave better with tourists, foreigners in general. In today's world, you cheat one foreigner, the next 10 minutes, the whole world is aware with social media.
Thailand also needs to realise that today it's not only light skin caucasians who have money, Indians, Chinese and other ethinies are big spenders and often are richer then the regular Cheap Charlies that did haunt the suburbs of Bangkok 20 years back. Naturally the jealous will say they drink with 5 straws, poo all over etc. But one needs to face the fact, the dogma for the new spenders has changed.
The retirees living in Thailand are also a valuable source of publicity for tourists. Treat the retirees with harsh immigration rules, and they report it back home and it discourages people from wanting to visit.
Get better looking
hookersentertainers in the bars and regulate their prices. As currently such services are cheaper back in Spain or France.Don't think foreigners, tourists, retirees are fools anymore. People know how to compare, where the best deals are. Europe is getting far cheaper for many goods and services then in Thailand.
Either Thailand adapt, or Thailand loose Europe visitors (and mainly their money).

Immigration now require incoming Boarding Pass
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
I sure that a wise, smart and handsome man like you understands that the point here was not specifically on the boarding pass but on a whole, with all the hassles added up....????....the boarding pass was just another new hassle that adds it all up. If you feel however that the procedures of immigration are easy going in Thailand, ....well...good for you....cherio !
