  1. Do you think that when you lose one argument you just switch to another?
  2. Before every election where a democratic party candidate won, the right said they're "coming for our guns." They didn't. Now, "She's going to make us a Marxist country." It's just baiting the public. By this daft definition, there are lots of programs in the USA that clearly follow Marxism already. THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, AMBER ALERTS, AMTRAK, PUBLIC BEACHES, PUBLIC BUSING SERVICES, BUSINESS SUBSIDIES, THE CENSUS BUREAU, THE CIA, FEDERAL STUDENT LOANS THE COURT SYSTEM, DAMS, PUBLIC DEFENDERS, DISABILITY INSURANCE, THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY, THE EPA FARM SUBSIDIES, THE FBI, THE FCC, THE FDA, FEMA, FIRE DEPARTMENTS, FOOD STAMPS, GARBAGE COLLECTION, HEALTH CARE, PUBLIC HOUSING, THE IRS, PUBLIC LANDFILLS, PUBLIC LIBRARIES, MEDICARE, MEDICAID THE MILITARY, STATE & NATIONAL MONUMENTS, PUBLIC MUSEUMS, NASA, THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NPR, PUBLIC PARKS, PBS, THE PEACE CORPS, POLICE DEPARTMENTS, PRISONS & JAILS, PUBLIC SCHOOLS, SECRET SERVICE, SEWER SYSTEMS, SNOW REMOVAL SERVICES, SOCIAL SECURITY, PUBLIC STREET LIGHTING THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, HIGHWAYS, ROADS, BRIDGES), USPS, VACCINES, VETERAN HEALTH CARE, WELFARE, THE WHITE HOUSE THE WIC PROGRAM, STATE ZOOS
  3. Taking a gift is always a bad look. Hope they declared all these gifts.
  4. Isn't that the fault of the government that signed the agreements? What would happen if they failed to repay was in black and white.
  5. The poor need help.
  6. Tilapia nilotica was introduced in 1966 as a gift from the Japanese Crown Prince Akihito. The more recent blackchin tilapia is native to Africa, is a threat to aquaculture and biodiversity as it preys on smaller fish and shellfish https://www.bangkokpost.com/life/social-and-lifestyle/1152617/a-gift-from-the-king
  7. London is looking attractive at this time of year.
  8. They can return the islands and pay rent for the military base I suppose. If they were to leave completely, how long before the locals begged for financial help?
  9. I am at a loss to explain why if Thaksin was guilty of corruption, his billions were not confiscated. They must have had the evidence.
  10. I have read about the history and found that there were no major wars except Vietnam and Korea in the 20th century. They were the only ones where America took the lead in fighting Asians. They didn't spread to other southeast Asian countries.
  11. Do all those little islands have economic value or are they just symbolic? Seems not worth dying for.
  12. Rape? Incest? Health issues? Why is abortion even a question?
  13. There is a rumor that Melania is a transsexual. I don't believe it. Who spreads these rumors? 🤣
  14. Burma, switched from driving on the left to driving on the right in 1970. If I remember correctly, all vehicles still used cars with steering on the right.
  15. I understand the were seven charges: reckless driving causing damage to others’ property, reckless driving causing death, failing to stop and assist the victim, failing to report to authorities, drunk driving causing death, and speeding. As they have mostly run out of time under the law (statute of limitations), I wonder if new charges can be brought once he arrives in Thailand? Failing to appear at a court to answer charges strikes me as one. There may be more.
  16. It has already started. Some parts of Sukhothai flooded. It's as if the government want people to remain poor.
  17. In space, no one can hear you scream. And scream.
  18. Well, the Pheu Thai was going to give THB 10,000 to everyone. Is this new idea going to replace that giveaway or be in addition to it? It sounds like a sneaky way to register more people for tax later.
  19. After the next flood, will we hear that the government was caught unprepared again?
  20. He is a Southern political representative and may be justified to oppose the Pheu Thai lack of interest in that region. Can't argue with that.
  21. If they have this legal right there isn't much to discuss.
  22. It seems like a smart move. With her nomination as President coming late in the election process, being able to show your Vice President to the voters, and both respond to questions on a real news channel as opposed to a self-confessed entertainment channel seems like a good idea. It is all a very compressed timeline for both of them. I presume the public want to see them in action together to get a feel for how they will get on as a key part of government.
  23. Either his team or supporters think it is fine to break the law.
  24. These guys are so clever and tech savvy one has to ask why Africa hasn't developed more. Seems clever guys make more money from crime than office work.
  25. Always confused when developed nations' blue collar workers want higher wages but complain about cheaper Asian products. Can't blame them for wanting a better standard of living.
